Watch out for the Black Death. I just read it was likely spread by gerbils, not rats as previously thought.

^ Actually scientists now know that the Black Death was in fact an airborne disease spread by humans, which was revealed after a mass grave of people who fell victim to the disease in London was dug up in 2013. Rats have been 100% vindicated of responsibility at this point. Still sad about the gerbils though, my sincere condolences.
