Weirdos commenting on youtube videos... recently?   It's been a cesspool for a decade.  Regardless, I got a "wanna be friends" comment the other day as well, no content on their page except "how to make money off of youtube" videos.  Seems like some kind of marketing/scam.

Yes as mentioned it is a spam / scam bot, in the guise of real channel(s), you will literally see them post the same type of comments all across Youtube. It was a big problem a few years ago and now seems back worse then ever, the give away signs include the same comment on multiple channels and videos, always brief and things like "Want to be friends / Let's be friends" also sometimes vague things like "Hey awesome content! Can we be friends?" etc, THE ONLY THING you should do with such comments is DO NOT REPOSND, REPORT AS SPAM and then Block the user from your channel. It has been reported that subscribing to such channels (what they are suggesting by Let's be friends" and you may end up finding your own channel locked out and taken over by a third party, they somehow have exploited a flaw in youtube where they can steal your channel simply by subscribing to theirs. You can research and see for yourself as many youtubers have had this happen to them as well their are many videos warning about such comment's on their channel and videos.
