  1. Do we really need the letter Q? Seems like all the words that use it could be replaced with a KW. "Iraq" could just as easily be spelled "Irak."

      Do you need X? It would seem you can use KS or S most of the time. Q*Bert becomes Cubert, Zaxxon becomes Zakson, Quedex becomes Kwedeks.

       

      Edit: I just learned that when Epyx imported Quedex to the USA and ported it to other formats than the C64, they also renamed it Mind-Roll. Whether it was to avoid mixing up the title with something else, or that Americans would have a tongue twister pronouncing "Quedex" is beyond my knowledge.

      X and Q save bits and bytes in the cortex, lexicon, and within programs in general.

      Cuebert would be a more realistic spelling in your example not Cubert imho. Q Bert is just fine.
