  1. Hi, I want the Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 complete series DVD. That'd be the one described here. Anyone have it? PM me if you do.
  2. Hi all. I got to making these again. Each week, probably on either Sunday or Monday, I'll post one of these I made. The design of where the black and white squares are is determined by the design of the one in my local paper's TV listings. All I do is just fill in the crossword patterns with new letters, essentially making a new crossword, which is apparently what the people who make the ones in the paper do. Maybe if I can find out who makes them, I could start working for them. Now wouldn't that be cool? Anyway, the answers to these will be posted next week, as will all subsequent (that is, if I remember to keep making them!) ones.
  3. Yeah, so Pitfall II is kinda cheating.
  4. Here. I hardly ever play my Game Gear anymore, so I've decided to sell them. They are: Beavis & Butthead - pending Caesar's Palace Klax (has what seems like sand on it but works OK) - pending Lion King Mortal Kombat NBA Jam Pac-Attack Poker Face Paul Blackjack " Gin Road Rash Super Space Invaders $5 Sonic 2 All $2 each unless noted. PM me if you're interested in any of these.
  5. I guess I could use the left difficulty switch, but before I do, I'd like to hear other people's opinions on this.
  6. Yep, on October 15, 1951, the first episode of "I Love Lucy" aired. So, barring the end of the world, the show will be 60 years old in a dozen days. To celebrate, I vow to watch the entire first season this month, going through every episode of it. Why? I like '50s TV. Why not the whole run? I only have the complete 1st season. Some day, Alice, (Honeymooners reference) I am going to have one of the most complete DVD sets of '50s TV ever. But probably by that time, there will be something to replace DVD (cough Blu-Ray cough). Here's some stuff I want to get for it. The first season of "Leave It To Beaver" would be nice (I think it was 1957-8.) I wonder if it's even a box set. Anything that aired on the DuMont network would be really cool. In an episode of the Honeymooners, Ed watches Captain Video, which was on the DuMont network on that time, which is weird because the Honeymooners was on CBS. Too bad we don't see any Capt. Video footage.
  7. Barring homebrews. Aside from Gyruss, I vote for BMX Air-Master's title screen. I also like Ghostbusters's title screen they managed to fit the whole theme song in there.
  8. There was a bug with the demo screen that I fixed. I also put in SFX for line clearing and made it easier to reset a game when pressing the reset button. As usual, please let me know if there are any bugs, and, if you have a Harmony cart, please let me know how it works on an actual 2600. 2600tris20111002.bas.bin
  9. I love my Pac-Man and my Galaga Hallmark Christmas tree ornament, and was just wondering if there will be one this year. I looked at Hallmark's site and couldn't find any info on it. Maybe it's too early?
  10. Where'd the "the time is now 10:17pm" thing at the bottom of the screen go?
  11. Hi all. There was a bug about getting 100 or more lines and affected the playfield. I think i fixed it. I also went ahead and made it so before you get a line cleared it goes much quicker. As usual, tell me if there's any bugs. 2600tris20111001.bas.bin 2600tris20111001.bas
  12. Anyone else love this band? I just recently stumbled upon the EP I had downloaded while looking through all my songs in Windows Media Player. I am listening right now to A Drowning, IMO, the most beautiful song of the 6 released so far because I'm having a migraine and my eye hurts again. So I did some research and apparently there's going to be another EP from them (how I found out about it is that Trent Reznor, his wife and Atticus Ross make up the band, the two men being from Nine Inch Nails. From the Nine Inch Nails website.) I am also wondering when the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo soundtrack is coming out, I liked the one that Trent and Atticus did for "The Social Network." but not as much as the stuff from HTDA. And, it's been almost 4 years since Ghosts I-IV came out. Wanting Trent to do more with Ghosts. Oh well, I shouldn't complain, anything from Trent is good.
  13. There was a bug in the last version about the top row acting funny when a line got cleared. This has been fixed (I think.) As usual, let me know if there are any bugs. 2600tris20110930.bas.bin 2600tris20110930.bas
  14. I'm planning to give this magazine of mine another go. In case you don't know, or forgot, Nintendo Stuff is a magazine I make that reviews N64 games. I'm going to do a special "Worst-Of" issue. I just ordered Carmageddon 64. I also want to get Superman 64, which some have called the worst video game of all time. Goat Store's copy had a poor label, so I passed. I have never seen Carmageddon 64 for sale anywhere, and the ones on eBay that were cheaper than the Goat Store's had NO RETURNS on it, which, if the cart didn't work I would be SOL. I have always wanted to play Carmageddon 64 ever since I heard the game was going to come out. I started NS in 1997 when I was 14 and the N64 was the current system in my life. (I had never seen a Saturn or PS or anything, haven't even heard of a Saturn.) I quit making NSs in 2002, by then the Gamecube was pretty much disappointed me with its lack of, in my opinion, cool titles I wanted to play. I thought running over zombies would make for a fun game (yes, I was evil back then, too.) So now I'll finally get to see it and put it in my worst-of-N64 issue, that and also Superman! Reading through the NSs I had made from 1997-2002, it appeared that I hated Penny Racers. I had called it the worst game ever made. Apparently the game wouldn't let me turn my car. Well, I was always weird when it came to video games. I called Mario Party 3 the best Nintendo game of 2001, and Ms. Pac-Man: Maze Madness the best one of 2000. I had started another issue with a Rat Attack! review, but I'll save that for another non-themed issue, which will probably be the one after this (issue 33.)

  16. A few years back, (February 6, 2009, to be exact), I was watching YouTube and came across the Sesame Street sketch about Bert and the National Association of W Lovers. It was then that I decided to make this fictional club a reality. If you want to join, instructions are on the page of the association. You can view the site, basically a temple about the letter W, at www.atari2600land.com/w/ which is quite possibly the only site on the internet devoted to the letter W. Now, I want to get rid of the atari2600land domain name and start one at www.w.com, which would be all about the letter W, but I don't know how to change URLs, I'm signed up with Yahoo. A few reasons I want to ditch the www.atari2600land.com is #1 - Greedy, ruthless Atari lawyers stumbling on my site, and, #2 - I don't update the 2600 part of the site any more. So why not use the letter W as a reason, a scapegoat? Well, anyway, if you have something to add to the W site (like a pop culture reference or some other interesting fact about the letter W for the fact page.) let me know. It's funny, on the news page, it looks as though I forgot about the site for a year, briefly resurrected it, and then forgot about it again for another year. Well, this time I want to keep remembering and keep the spirit of the letter W alive! All hail the W and the wonderful sound it makes. Like Bert said, it makes the heart pound faster.
  17. Can anyone here make Odyssey 2 cartridges? I want my Ants! game on one. Maybe I could release it or something.

  18. OK, when being a superhero, one thing is important: The ability to swim. Apparently, Spider-Man hadn't taken swim lessons as a kid. Easy mode is too hard. Yep, another one of THOSE games. And yet another slug-fest a la TMNT2 for the NES (and apparently the arcade, although it's a lot more fun on the NES if you have a front loader and a Game Genie.) I don't know why every superhero game has to do this. The X-Men did this, and now Spider-Man. And apparently Spider-Man isn't a very good superhero. Oh sure, he can shoot webs and stuff, but it seems like he's really weak. A few bullets really does damage to his health meter. Superman has the ability to have bullets bounce off his chest. Aqua Man can swim. Maybe Spidey needs to take a few more lessons in superhero school. I was able to clear downtown OK, but Pier 54 was where I learned that Spider-Man can't swim. Some idiot enemy punched me off a few boxes that were apparently magically floating in mid air and I fell to my death a few times. That is when I knew I was defeated and so I turned the GBA off, never to play this one again unless I feel like torturing myself, which might happen because it has passwords. I never did get any passwords when I beat the downtown level, but in the main menu it has a place to enter them, so... This concludes September of 2011. On to October!
  19. When I was at Borders one day earlier this year before it closed, I was perusing the comic book rack. I had wondered why there was no SpongeBob comic book. Well, it turns out that after about 10 years of SpongeBob's popularity, someone finally thought of the idea. I had seen Looney Tunes, Simpsons, etc. comics., but none of SpongeBob. When I was a kid, I used to collect Ren and Stimpy comic book issues before it stopped in 1996. I wish I had every issue. Now the Borders trip yielded issue 2. When I went to a local comic book store to get issue 3, I saw all three, so I got issue 1. Now I got issue 4 back in August and am looking forward to issue 5 in October. The comic book comes out every other month for some odd reason. So anyway, I made a webpage about the comic book issues. I wonder why Firefox decided not to have the tags show up when you hover the cursor over a picture, but it works with MIE. Anyway, in case you're interested, it's here. Enjoy.
