  1. I haven't played my Gamecube for months now probably because I don't have a very large selection of games for it. Are there any puzzle or platforming games that I can get and enjoy on this thing?
  2. I want to eat shredded wheat, but they told me to never eat it...

How about Never Eat Seagull Wings?

  3. Why do people like Tengen Tetris so much? The action stops abruptly every 30 lines to tally up your score!
  4. If you uploaded version 14 and up, you'll find that I changed the action button for the correct joystick restarts the game.
  5. Track Listing: 1. Metallic Side - 28:41 2. Spheres Side - 20:12 What do you get when you cross electronica group The Orb with Pink Floyd's David Gilmour? This: The Orb featuring David Gilmour's "Metallic Spheres". Having purchased it yesterday, it is fast becoming one of my favorite albums. The only shame is that it isn't longer. There are two tracks: Metallic Side and Spheres Side. Metallic Side is almost 29 minutes long, while Spheres side is only a little over 20 minutes long. My only other experience listening to The Orb was I got their 1995 album "Orbus Terrarum," Let's say this album is a lot prettier sounding than that one. Both the Orb and David Gilmour have aged wonderfully. This album, full of sweeping background SFX, but with a nice drum beat and techno sounds. Gilmour sings for a little bit, one of the only lyrics in the whole album is "Do you believe in justice? Do you believe in freedom?" As for how it sounds, I guess the best way to explain it is Tangerine Dream meets Godspeed, with a little of A Positive Life thrown in for good measure, but it really has a sound of its own. Nice electronica music, and a must-own if you're into that sort of thing.
  6. Yes. Well, sort of. I'm getting some help. I'm trying to learn assembly.
  7. Modified the most wanted list. thanks for the games, boxpressed.

  9. I made it so that the background color changes every ten ants. Link is now in my signature.
  10. Hi all, apparently the score was all wacked out in two-player mode when player two got a line or more. I fixed that. Tell me if you run into any bugs in this version, especially the two player mode. 2600tris20110923.bas.bin 2600tris20110923.bas
  11. Release date: 9/28/2001 (almost ten years ago! It's been THAT long since the GBA debuted?!) Another one of those games where medium difficulty is too hard and easy difficulty is too easy. On Medium, I finished last and on Easy, it barely put up a fight. And there's only one track you can actually race on. There might be more, but damned if I can figure out how to get to them. US Open mode is only two races on the same track, and if you win both of them, you're the champion and you get nothing except a screen saying Ricky Carmichael (or whoever you picked) is the champion. Wrong, except if Ricky himself is playing the game. And there's a race alone mode to get the feel of the game apparently. As for graphics, they're polygon based except for the objects like colored boxes, the racers and car tires half-stuck in the sand. These tires only have three directions to face when you're turning so animation is choppy at best. So anyway, it's not a very good game, but if you're a fan of motocross, I guess it warrants a look. up next: Spider-Man: Mysterio's Menace
  12. I want TMNT Tournament Fighters and Mario's Time Machine for the NES, dammit!

  13. I tried to find the classic Nintendo game lists only to find that they're not on the website any more. Luckily, before they disappeared, I had downloaded three of them. You can view them here: Game Boy NES http://www.atari2600land.com/nintendogamelists/snes_games.pdf - SNES Apparently the limit of links I can put in a single post is two for some reason.
  14. Where are Odyssey2 manuals on the internet? I can't figure out Keyboard Creations!

  15. Well, I had to get a blood test. They always have a hard time. This time I got poked three times. First my right arm, where they couldn't get anything, then the left arm with no result. So the stupid nurse brought in the lead nurse and she did it on my right hand, where there's a bunch of veins sticking out. I also had to get a urine sample. I tried and tried and I don't think I did enough. They said they'd call back if they need another one, so luckily they won't be trying to take blood out of me. Peeing in a cup is hard when you don't have to go to the bathroom. So now both my arms hurt. To add insult to injury, they didn't have my game at Wal-Mart. So, I didn't have a very good day today.
  16. Is it me or is AA going off and on. Sometimes it says it's too busy. Was just wondering if that is Al working on the site.

This is not normal, I just filed a support ticket with Invision. May not be able to do anything until tonight when I get home. There are slow database queries causing the board to hang. It will get fixed, please be patient.

Albert, you may need to turn off the custom queries for each forum. I went to sort the Atari 2600 topics I replied in using that custom thingy yesterday and it got all clogged up and it seemed like the AtariAge forums got boned for a little while.

  17. Version 12 is here! I made the tan ant speed up for every 20 black ants you get. I also changed it to use the left joystick and pressing fire at the end of a game starts a new one instead of going to the game select screen.
  18. I was on the videopac.nl forums, and Rafael mentioned having O2EM v1.81. I have v1.18. I googled "O2EM v1.81" with no luck, so I'm wondering if he might have transposed the numbers and meant 1.18? Is there a version 1.81?
  19. I wanted to hold back on starting a new topic in the homebrew forum until this game is somewhat playable. For those who don't follow my blog, I've been making a game called Ants! for the Odyssey2. Well, now I've got collision detection on the tan ant so now it's an actual game. An easy game, but a game nonetheless. So, here's the plans on what I'm going to do to make it more challenging: - Have the speed of the tan ant increase the more black ants you get. - Maybe put in a second tan ant? So, what is the game about? The goal is to get as many black ants as you can while avoiding the tan one. If you touch the tan ant, the game ends and you press fire to get back to the beginning. You can download the game at http://www.atari2600land.com/ants/ which is the official Ants! homepage. Comments/questions are very much appreciated. Here's a picture of the game in action.
  20. Well, I finally got the tan ant moving around the screen. I made the code a lot shorter and little by little, progress is being made on this game. Check it out here. At that link, you can check out the code as well as get the rom for the O2EM emulator. As a teenager, I used to listen to my mom's "Along Came the Association" by the Association record, especially two tracks: Don't Blame It On Me and Message of Our Love. This was in the mid '90s, I guess. Well today, I converted those two songs to CD as well as two other songs I like from a Sesame Street album: AB-C-DEF-GHI and Bein' Green. I was going to do Sammy Davis Jr.'s rendition of MacArthur Park but I can't find it. Also, I'm dreading my visit to the doctor tomorrow. He wanted to see me. I bet for a blood test, which is difficult for me because I have no veins in my arm. I still have a scar where some stupid nurse botched one. It still hurts for a few minutes now and then. Stupid doctor, I hope he retires if he forces an unwanted blood test on me. He's getting up there in age, my other doctor retired and so I had to start seeing the one I had when I was a kid.
  21. $114 for a new one, but only $10 for a used one? WTF?
  22. A little over a year after I made the first edition of the 2-letter word dictionary, I have made the second edition. I got rid of the word VS and added the name WU. I don't know why I put in the word VS to begin with. I'm mulling over what to get rid of in the third edition which is going to be released next year. I might get rid of the word KU (as in Ku Klux Klan.) Well, anyway, the dictionary still has 124 entries. What I'm looking for for the third edition is words or names I've missed that are two letters long, and not abbreviations like OJ or TV or OK. You can view it here.
  23. Hi all, Was looking through the previous HSCs and can't recall the last time we played this one, so we might as well play it! This round runs from Sep.19-Oct. 31. I had thought about doing Pinball Jam, but we did that last October! APB Final High Scores - roadrunner 9,855
