Hi, anyone perchance have a few Sega Saturn games with cases they'd like to get rid of? I'm looking for just about anything except sports titles. PM me if you do.

Check out this Odyssey II Garage Sale Find
atari2600land replied to Waterborn's topic in Odyssey 2 / Videopac
I tried to sell loose Odyssey II games at my garage sale. Nobody wanted them. All of my game stuff that sold was a few original Game Boy consoles and games. -
Kirby's Block Ball Wario Land II am I missing any?

Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels: They may be stupid, but they're also dumb!

Was Mario's Tennis packed in with the Virtual Boy? I think the greatest VB game at launch was Galactic Pinball.

Work is progressing on Insect Combat, my game I'm working on for the Virtual Boy. For instance, the sprite now faces the correct direction when moving to the left. I also added some music to the credits (which are right now hidden.) I promised the guy who is making the sprites for me not to show them to anyone (I don't know why he wouldn't want me to, maybe just because he wants it to be a surprise to everyone how awesome they look when he's finished with all of them. They really do look cool.) so here are three "press" shots for the game that do not include the fighters, which, in the end, will look way different from what's on the fighters selecting screens now. This means I'll have to redesign the fighter selection screens.

I wondered if the same game could be done in 2k using batari Basic. Press the select switch to toggle between 1 enemy, 2 enemies bouncing, and 1 enemy bouncing and 1 enemy chasing you simultaneously. Granted, it's not as nice as Wickeycolumbus's, but I got bored. bBiter.bas.bin

OK, enough with the bikini girls, here are some other girls: the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA.

Hey, all, I won another eBay auction, probably due to the fact that nobody else seemed to want it. I got another game.com game. This time around, it's Frogger. Once I get it, this will be my 11th game.com game, so I'm halfway done completing my boxed collection. That's right, I want a complete CIB game.com collection. I know all you hate this system, but I think it's not actually all that bad once you get used to it! (Except Sonic Jam, of course!) Of course, the game.com should be capable of doing a game like Frogger, where it's just one screen of arcade action, the kind of game the system was built for. My favorite game so far is Tiger Casino. Scrabble is OK, too.

+1 for Yars' Revenge. I was surprised it took that many posts for someone to mention it.

My last update to the Hexagon page was July 31. I had one already made, but I had forgotten about this (as usual), so i went ahead and made another one, so now there's two new ones up. I'll be making more soon, so look for them every Sunday. Where you can get them.

Company: TDK Size: 32 Megabits NP's Rating: 4.5/5 (volume 149 p.123) ESRB Rating: E (Mild Violence) Where have I seen that TDK logo before? Ah yes, on old blank cardboard VHS tape covers! Well, anyway, TDK apparently hit a high note, at least in this GBA game-playing project I'm doing, with a fairly decent platform game. The editors at Nintendo Power think that the game is too easy. Suuuure it is. No, they're wrong. It's kinda difficult, especially when you need to attack enemies with nothing but a sword in the early stages of the game. The graphics give the game a cartoony feel, which is not what the box art predicts (I don't have the box, but I'm looking at a picture of it in NP). And although it's better than most of the other games I've played thus far, I doubt I'll give this a second spin. Question for NP editors: if you think the game is too easy, then why is your collective rating a 4.5/5? My rating: 6 (out of 10)

Hey all, I'll be selling some stuff at my sister's garage sale tomorrow morning, including a PS1 with games, an Odyssey 2 with games, a whole bunch of NES games, some Genesis games, a semi-working NES with no screws or cords (asking $1 for it!) some Game Boy stuff, an N64 with a game, Intellivision games, and a few other goodies in an "everything in this box is 50 cents" box. So if you're interested, and in the Salem, Oregon area, come on down. It's near the Lancaster Mall, in that neighborhood. PM me for further directions. Hope to sell all this stuff I don't need or want or use.

Garage sale tomorrow! Come to it if you're in the Salem area!

Near Lancaster Drive, and I have a little bit of 2600 stuff, but it's mostly other things (NES, Odyssey 2, etc.) I have 2 50cent Atari 5200 games, though.

Aw man wish I lived there to get some good deals on that stuff I would give that game stuff a good home.

Yes, still, as I'm looking to one day have a complete boxed collection.
-
Seeing as how I only have the Tengen version since I'm in the US, I'd choose that, but I think I only played it once, just to see if it worked. I have a complete collection of black Tengen NES carts.

OH HOLY HELL! I just got it today and it's as bad as you say it is. I can't see what's ahead of me! And the whole screen looks blurry as hell so that only doubles the fail of this game.
-
Still haven't gotten it yet, you guys are making me want to play it and see for myself how bad it is.

I had ordered Birth of a Nation (1915) and the Mark of Zorro (1920) and they still haven't come yet. I have The Hunchback of Notre Dame (spelled "Norte Dame" on the disc. I guess it wasn't a good enough movie to get the name right!), Phantom of the Opera, Metropolis, and the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, as well as 14 hours' worth of Charlie Chaplin shorts. Somewhere around the house, I have a couple I taped off of TMC, and the Lost World. I don't know why, but I just find it fascinating to watch footage that old. I'm going to be watching Dr. Caligari tonight. I'd like to get something about the Keystone Kops, too, but I don't know if they have any DVDs of those. (you know, they based the Atari 2600 game off of it). Earlier today at about 1am, I went to sleep. At around 3:30am I was awakened by the sound of the power going out! I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't, so I tried to fix another lamp using a flashlight (and did), as well as play some Virtual Boy Wario Land. At 5:30am or so, the power came back on! My beloved electricity has returned! So that's my day, although I would like to know what caused the power to go out at such an odd time.

Well, I beat intermediate 316-187. I did get a BINGO, and the interesting animation for it: The Scrabble tiles flashed B, I, N, G, O, which was cool. I feel the people who made this didn't know what they were doing. I had no tiles left when it was my turn. I tried ENTER, but it said "NO WORD CREATED." Well, of course! I didn't have any letters, you dummy! In the DS version, if you run out of letters, it automatically ends. Here, I had to pass because there was no other option. For the last few turns, "Tommy" passed. He didn't have any letters, or was too stupid to think of short, two letter words, or got frustrated because I was ahead so much and didn't care. So, I made a few short words, like DO and ON for the last few turns I had. If you win, you'll get a screen with trumpets with Scrabble tiles spelling "WINNER" and your score and the computer's score. It is hard to read the opponent's score, and after each turn, you have to tap the screen where it says "READY?," even when it's not your turn. Also, when the computer is thinking, it doesn't show your letters so you can't really plan ahead that much. So, all in all, it's a playable game, but the DS version is better.
