...was spent sleeping. I couldn't go to sleep, so I worked on Zyx. FINALLY got to semi-sleep at about 2 a.m. Woke up at 7:45a.m. to go to sleep on the couch so I could hear the phone ring. Yes, I'm still waiting for them to call me. It didn't ring. I got up at about noon. Then in the span of about a couple of hours, I got 3 calls. Two of them were robo calls and the other one was Terminix telling me when they'll come. So now while a couple weeks ago I would be sleeping right now, now I am awake at about 8:30p.m. I spent most of my hours awake working on Zyx again. There was a rather nasty bug about flashing objects that I didn't want to have flashing, but I think I squashed it. I think MidSpace is finally finished, there's nothing more I'd like to add and even if there was, I would have practically no room for it.

I think I'll play my Jaguar tonight or tomorrow. I'm really sleepy now, but I shouldn't be because I've only been awake for about 9 hours. And it's hot in my room. And I'm working on a new Atari 2600 newsletter for November. It'll be 2 pages of greatness. Or at least I think so.

I just worked on it today, in fact. It's been a hard few months on it, replacing backgrounds and music in it. I really like the new title screen music though. I don't know when this will be released. Probably next year some time.

Not to be confused with "Lemons in August." So I wondered today while looking at my incredibly long code about the banana movement in my pineapple game, if I could shorten it by adding a couple of extra variables. As a result, the code is a lot shorter with only three variables added. Right now I'm up to var47. The highest I got on GoSub was var39. So while it may seem that there's a lot less involved in this game, there actually is a lot more happening. This is the banana moving code.

    movementtt_of_banana     if bananadir=1 && bananay>150 then bananadir=3 : bananawall=1     if bananadir=1 && bananax<8 then bananadir=2 : bananawall=1     if bananadir=2 && bananay>150 then bananadir=4 : bananawall=1     if bananadir=2 && bananax>144 then bananadir=1 : bananawall=1     if bananadir=3 && bananay<18 then bananadir=1 : bananawall=1     if bananadir=3 && bananax<8 then bananadir=4 : bananawall=1     if bananadir=4 && bananay<18 then bananadir=2 : bananawall=1     if bananadir=4 && bananax>144 then bananadir=3 : bananawall=1     if bananadir=1 then bananax=bananax-1 : bananay=bananay+2     if bananadir=2 then bananax=bananax+1 : bananay=bananay+2     if bananadir=3 then bananax=bananax-1 : bananay=bananay-2     if bananadir=4 then bananax=bananax+1 : bananay=bananay-2     return To use it, I call up a banana's x, y and direction, feed it into the code, and then put the result back, like so:

        bananadir=banana1dir : bananay=banana1y : bananax=banana1x     gosub movementtt_of_banana     banana1dir=bananadir : banana1y=bananay : banana1x=bananax
Pretty clever, huh? The way it was before was having code keep track of each banana this way. Now there's a lot less code.

While I was at it, I also changed some colors. I thought the purplish-brown color was too dark, so I made it pink. Now it looks like strawberry ice cream. I made the papaya a darker green. So now at least I can add more bananas way easier. My limit of the number of stuff I can have in a certain ZONE is 31. I just think of that as the entire screen because I doubt that I'll add 22 extra bananas bouncing around. I think the limit to the number of variables I can have is var99, so I'm good with that. Now I'm bored again.

This blog entry begins in the unlikely year of 1862. When I get bored, I sometimes work on personal projects, like music CDs. In 1862, the epic poem "Goblin Market" was published. It was brought to my attention in an old issue of Playboy or something that my grandparents had. It was dated before I was born. I don't know why they had it. A few years after reading about it, I found the old poem online. Man it's long. So began the task I challenged myself of putting it to music. Like almost all my projects I had before, I quit about halfway into it, distracted by other things. A year ago, I had found what I had done on my website for some reason. I sometimes keep odd things on my website for storage.

So I downloaded it, because the computer it was on had died. And I continued working on it. I made it into a MIDI. I record the MIDI in Audacity and me reciting the poems (to the music, it's like singing, but I can't sing, so I talk-sing) with an audio recorder and then I blend them together. So I finished the whole thing. It is 42 minutes long. I was going to put in on a CD, but I realized that if I did, I would have 37 minutes of unused storage on it. I went to work on an epic poem of my own, which - like most of my stuff - is strange and silly.

It is called "Floyd, the Can of Spam From Northern Idaho." The name Floyd was chosen long before George Floyd. I just thought it was an interesting name. It is about a can of Spam that grew arms and legs and a head and was walking around. So I finished my own composition and it was 37 minutes long. I put it on the same CD as "Goblin Market" and titled it "Tales of Whimsical Fantasy" and burned myself a copy of it. Right now it is sitting on a pile of SNES games I have on my desk.

Last night I began to work on a CD called "Tales of Whimsical Fantasy 2" and its first song called "The Adventures of Steve, a Hair On Top of Bob's Head". While Floyd had 16 or so parts to it, I worked on part 1 of this new song. It takes up 2 minutes' worth of music. This song is about a hair. I was inspired by this hair I had in my mouth that got there for some unknown reason. After getting it out of my mouth and throwing it away, I wondered about what would happen to it. (I think about weird stuff like this.) The epic story begins when a baby was born and began to grow hair on its head (like most babies.) I want it to be at least 40 minutes long like "Goblin Market" was.

That and waiting for that phone call, and working on Pineapple for the Atari 7800 is what I have been doing lately. I have been going to sleep at about 7 p.m. and waking up at 7 a.m. consistently for almost a week now. After I finished part 1 of that song, it was about 6 p.m., so I thought I had better get started trying to go to sleep since it takes at least a half-hour to finally fall asleep. I got up at 7 this morning. I have been awake for about an hour so far today. And then I finished typing this blog entry.

Today I worked on the pineapple game. I switched from a zone height of 8 to a zone height of 16. While this enables more sprites on the screen, I doubt I will put any more on it. I did this just to see if I could do it. I like the way it looks anyway, so I did it. I would like some suggestions and feedback on the game because I'm getting almost 0 interest in it.

I also apparently had a dream a year ago about making crosswords about apples. Something I kept doing once a month. I'll just post this here, and if anyone wants the answers, well, I'll be very surprised. It's hard making these, this one took about an hour. I am proud to say all the 3 letter words going down are (somewhat) common.

So all in all it's been another very boring day, just working on the computer waiting for those people to call me, although I have a feeling they never will. I did poop out a pounds' worth of poop (I lost a pound). But then I ate food. But at least I'd be fatter if I didn't.

I am bored and want something to do. It is kind of odd that I have all these video games laying around in my room and yet I'm still bored. Perhaps I should play them...

I still need to get the manuals for Trimerous done. I bet Kinko's is open on the weekend. I need to do it on the weekend because I'm waiting for a phone call that could come at any time during the day. Thus I spend all my waking hours waiting for that call.

While I was waiting today, I decided to delve into the Channel F and program my next game. Quest of the Cranberry is on the front burner now. I made screen 17 a minefield. I'm taking lots of ideas from Frank the Fruit Fly and implementing them here. What is weird though is it has to be screen 17. If I try to make it screen 18, the game goes berzerko and won't work.

I do have an idea for level 3. I need to finish level 2. My idea for level 3 is a school of fish that is swimming coming from the right and moving left, trying to get the cranberry. Level 3 will be underwater. Cranberries can swim, you know.

I decided to change my avatar. With me programming a game about pineapples, it seemed silly to have an avatar of a watermelon up there. But I like silly things, so it wasn't all bad. I can't think of too many things left to do with this game, I think I'm nearing its end, which seems odd since I still have 9,997 bytes of data left, and the DMA holes to work with. So let's hear some suggestions. The latest binary will from now on always be on the pineapple website. I finally figured out how to change my signature, so I did. For now, the pineapple website link is in my signature. The 2-player game option was a suggestion, and it worked out well.

My eye hurt a lot yesterday, so I had to go to sleep early, at 2 p.m. I woke up at 4 a.m. because my throat was extra dry. So I woke up and my eye quit hurting, so I ate breakfast. I'm expecting a phone call which could come in the next 2 weeks (they didn't want to tell me any time more specific than that!) so the door to my room is open and I'm not listening to any music so I can hear the phone when (if?) it rings.

Which leads to a question: Do any of you still have land lines? I do. I have a phone. It's plugged into the wall in the den. My room is down the hall a short ways from the den so I can hear it. Hopefully even when the dryer is on because it is now. I also have a Samsung Galaxy 3. I last used it a month ago. It doesn't hold a charge very well though, so I probably need to charge it now. I don't know its phone number so when it rings it's probably either a wrong number or spam call because I didn't give the number to anybody because I don't know it. And I don't really have many people to tell it to anyway.

So anyway, here is a new picture of the game.

I wonder why .bmp files are so popular with emulation screenshot pictures. Why save it in .bmp format? I ask because this picture is like 200 kb in .bmp yet only 5 kb in .png format.

I made a website for the 7800 game I'm working on called "pineapple." You can find it here. It has instructions and a ROM to try out. It's really lovely. I am super sleepy. I tried to change my life around so I'm up during the day. I went to sleep at 2 p.m. and woke up at 7 a.m. I purposely did that so I would wake up at a sane time. But since I apparently need at least 12 hours of sleep each night, this means I'll probably go to sleep at about 6 p.m. or so.
  9. atari2600land
Was spent mostly sleeping. I did however get to go to the post office (had to mail a game out), and I went to Ace's gift shop in search of Halloween stuff to add to my jack-o-lantern collection. Everything there is horribly overpriced. Please tell me why a medium-sized stuffed tarantula (about the size of a teddy bear) needs to be $24. So I went to Kroger's (Fred Meyer to be exact) and found a couple of things. Stopped at Burger King for some fries. They have fat puffy fries, not shoestring like Carl's Jr. (and practically everywhere else) has.

After that it was 11 a.m. so I slept until 10 p.m. Got 11 hours of sleep. Worked some more on Pineapple. I will have some proposed art for the cover here shortly. At the store, I got a pineapple. What I plan to do is take a picture of it. Luckily the pineapple won't go to waste because I think mom will eat it for me.

I had a strange dream about making stuff out of Perler beads for some reason. Do you have strange dreams, then forget them, then all of a sudden it pops up in your head that "I just remembered my dream I had last night!" I am happy now because I have two boxes of cheez-its. Yay! I love cheez-its.

I tried real hard to think of a place where level 6 can be in the game Hamburgers En Route To Switzerland 2. Then all these stupid bugs popped up. I was having a horrible time trying to fix them. I spent all night and into the morning working on this. At one point, I got the bright idea to just start over again. Sections of the code were ignored. Putting them in twice seem to do the trick, although I don't know why.

That's a small picture. Don't know why it's so small, but oh well. Level 6 takes place at the library. You can see the old librarian is scared because a hamburger and milkshakes are flying around shooting each other (wouldn't you be?) After all the time spent, a couple of times the game acted real funny: noises were all screwed up, and then it went back to the title screen.

I also wonder what I did to break the boss screen. I separated all the sprites so they weren't overlapping, yet somehow it acted like they did and killed you if you died. The burger went down, and then it went back up, at which point when the game was supposed to start, the small onion rings flashed and the burger and the life counter went down. But I think I fixed that.

Anyway, when I was done, I tried to go to sleep, but then I had diarrhea. I finally went to sleep at about 10:30 a.m. and woke up at 7:30 p.m. A good, sane amount of nine hours of sleep. So I didn't have a very good Sunday. But at least I know where the final level 7 is going to take place. (I only have 29,310 bytes left out of a possible 131,072.) It wouldn't compile at one point, but I think I found a way to optimize the boss screen so I can free up more room, for possibly more levels.

About 17 hours ago, I put on the internet the beginnings of a game I began working on called "Dinosaur!". This is for the Atari 2600 using assembly. And it's my most ambitious assembly game I have to date. What I want in the end is a game like "Jurassic Park" (for the NES). I bought Jurassic Park for the NES. (I also have a Game Gear version.) I haven't played it yet, but I know what the objectives are: To clear levels and shoot dinosaurs. I woke up at 6 p.m. after going to bed (finally) at 4 a.m. So when I woke up a few hours ago, I improved upon what I had. I made the tires roll along instead of having the same tire sprite. I made the grass different colors. It now looks like this.

I tested it on a real 2600. There's a black border that goes all the way around it, which is fine, but why doesn't it show up in Stella? All it shows is the bottom and the top black border, but it doesn't show the side part. The purple mountains scroll to the left. The front of the Jeep is there to hide some ugly black lines that showed up when I used HMOVE to make the purple mountains (missile0). I was thinking about removing the Jeep and making the purple mountains player0, but then I thought, "I could make PLAYER1 a trio of trees that scroll along with the mountains." So I'll see if I can do that.

A while back, I lamented about while there was a comic strip occurring in the past ("B.C."), there was none from the future. Which seemed odd to me seeing as how there were both "The Flintstones" and "The Jetsons". So I decided to make a futuristic comic strip for my comics website. I made a couple weeks' worth last year and a week about 4 months ago. Well, while going through my papers I found two comics I had drawn, I think I wanted to keep going with the four months ago set, as they were dated May. I wanted to continue it, so I thought really hard and made a week's worth.

We had a horrible thunderstorm last night, I was apprehensive about using the computer so close to the window but it was the one hooked up to the scanner, but I managed to scan the page of comics, and cleaned them up and colored them and replaced all my crappy handwriting with the Arial font. So now it looks like this:

I think the father's face looks like a slice of pizza. But it seems iconic, so I kept it in. Mark Jones and his son live in an apartment complex on the moon in the year 2747. I haven't drawn Mark's wife yet (no joke or reason to), so I'm thinking for the back story, Mark is a divorcee. As for the odd white space in Mark's speech balloon in the first panel of the comic I posted, my handwriting is apparently a lot bigger than the Arial font size I used. I could have trimmed it, but it was late, and I didn't want to.

I also decided to use a futuristic looking font for the dates. Also, all the comics since May have the words "A Future Comic" in it somewhere to differentiate it from other comics on my site (I jump back and forth between projects, just like my programming habits. I had to quit a serial in order to do this.) I'd like to do this and keep it up, but ideas for comics are hard to come by, especially if you're limiting yourself to the future. But, probably nobody is reading them anyway. Oh well.

I went to sleep for about 10 hours last night. Went to sleep at around 4 a.m. and woke up at 2 p.m. And it wasn't because the thunder was keeping me up. There was a huge clap of thunder at about 3 a.m. that I heard while working on my comic. It was because I wasn't sleepy enough to go to sleep. I used to eat Frosted Mini-Wheats, but decided they don't have enough sugar in them, so I switched to Frosted Flakes, which I sometimes choke on. But I just ate a bowl and didn't, so I don't know.

I started to go online to schedule an appointment to get my ID card renewed. I get to the part where I actually begin to schedule an appointment, but I can't because there aren't any available openings in both of my local DMV locations! This is stupid. I think they need to open up a few more locations to better serve the area, but that will never happen because that would mean paying more government workers. And there's no money to pay them with NOW any way. BUT I NEED MY ID CARD because it expires in a few months!

In other news, I made a little video of me playing what I have so far of level 6 of Frank the Fruit Fly. I said before that I wanted to get it done by September 2021. So this means I have a year left. But I also want to make it a full 512 KB like all the other releases. Right now it's 222 KB. So I'm not even half way there yet, and I've been working on the game for over a year! So I guess the game will have 11 levels, with level 11 being the castle where the evil, big boss lives. And an ending. And an Easter Egg minigame accessible via a password.

Asteroids, Battlezone, Centipede, Missile Command, Super Breakout, and Tempest are here to play on your Super NES. One bad thing I can say about this is there's no way to exit the game unless you die. That and it doesn't take very much time to go into demo mode, only like 5 seconds of inactivity. And it doesn't save your high scores. But I guess the good news is they're arcade perfect, so there's that. And the "1" in the title is a bit misleading, as this is the only Atari collection on the SNES. But I guess the SNES's life couldn't last long enough for Midway to put out a second volume. This was released in 1997, and the N64 was already out.

next time: I'd better watch out, if I lie about this next game, my nose will grow.
  15. atari2600land
So last night I played some Mario Kart 64. Two of the computer-controlled players got the exact same time on one track. Before that, I got a new 2600 game in the mail: Cosmic Commuter. I put it in and the thing rolled. Did I have a PAL version? I went and cleaned up the contacts a little and then tried it. Success: No rolling. So if you think you have a PAL game (and are in NTSC land), one thing you can try is cleaning the cart. Then I worked on MidSpace. I tried and tried to get the game's letters to stripe correctly. After numerous attempts and about 90 minutes later, I did it. I know I should count scanlines, but I don't know how.

So I went to sleep and didn't want to get up. I got up at 11a.m., took my pills, and then went back to sleep I was so sleepy. Finally woke up at 3 p.m. since I knew I had to get up at some point (Well, not really, but then what would be the point of life if all I do is sleep it away?). I tried it on a real 2600, and the word "Midspace" started with yellow and black lines, like a bee. So I went back to work fixing that. But I finally did. I have 1 byte left.

So now, hopefully, I am done with it all. I think this is my best game using assembly. I want to put it on a cartridge and sell it, but apparently nobody thinks it's as good as I think it is. Now I will focus all my 2600 work on finishing Castle of Doom and then start work on that Count's Castle game using the Kid's Controller. Or perhaps, something different. I still wish that competition for small games was still around.
  16. atari2600land
I got an idea for a screen for Frank the Fruit Fly. It is basically my Explosive Diarrhea game. If you're not familiar with that, the goal is to cross a minefield without stepping on a mine. Stepping on one will send the player back to the left of the screen to try again. So basically, remember where the mines are and don't step on them. Since Frank only has to cross this once, I don't really need to reset the mine positions.

Right now the randomly placed mines are visible, but they won't be when I'm done. I have four. Should I add a few more mines or keep it the way it is? I don't want this to be easy, but at the same time, I don't want it to be hard. What do you think?

  17. atari2600land
...is something I lack. It's been a boring day today so far. I went for a walk outside. You can see ash collecting on the pavement. I tried Castle of Doom on a real Atari 2600. I changed a level because even though the levels seem easy on an emulator using the keyboard, they seem to be much tougher using a joystick. Especially when you have broken ones. Third time was the charm. I don't know how I ended up with (at least) 3 joysticks, but hey, it works. Couldn't get to sleep last night. I finally fell asleep at about 11 p.m.

11 hours later, I got up and got a Carl's Jr. burger. I don't know why I don't gain very much weight eating these things. Must be because I'm fat already. Earlier in the week, I bought my 345th Atari 2600 game: Cosmic Commuter. I am waiting for its commute to my house to be finished. There aren't very many games I don't have, seeing as how I have almost 350 of them in the pantry, but, oh well.
  18. atari2600land
The smoke issue at my house is a little better today. I went for a walk and I could see little ashes falling from the sky. I worked for an hour on Castle of Doom. While I was playing it, I found an issue with room 52. So I fixed it. I also changed room 40 because I deemed it too hard and almost downright impossible. Some of the time was spent making a new room 54. I don't know whether I should change the name of the game because it's quite similar to "Room of Doom" by Commavid. (not to mention the "Doom" game series.) Castle of Horrors seems like a good title. Or alliterative, and do Creepy Castle? (or is that too similar to "Crystal Castles?") Thoughts? I'm not going to share the final 9 rooms so there will be at least a little surprise. I wonder though if 63 rooms is a big enough game. Finding the right size for one to play in one sitting rather than be way too long and not being able to save anything (like Super Mario Bros. 3).
  19. atari2600land
Woke up this morning. I was confused because it was dark outside. Perhaps it was actually 10 p.m.? No, it was 10 a.m. There have been an unusual amount of wildfires in my area lately. And it gave the sky an interesting (and smoky) shade of red. I don't think I've ever seen it get like this before. It's horrible. All the Portland news is talking about is people that need to evacuate certain areas. This is apparently bigger than COVID-19.

I tried to go for a walk. Didn't go as much as usual. Actually, I never go very far when I do. It smells smoky even in parts of the home. So I worked on some stuff. I worked on MidSpace like I did last night. But I finally got it the way I want it. After two days of work. I worked a little on Castle of Doom last night. So it's been a weird day.
  20. atari2600land
I have come to the conclusion that I don't like Doom. I tried playing it on the Jaguar. Again. I got farther this time, level 4. With infinite energy. But the trouble I keep having is not shooting the monsters and stuff, but it's the fact that everywhere looks exactly the same and I get lost and the map doesn't really help all that much.

What prompted me to do this? I was going through the garage and I found the overlay. So I decided I should put the overlay on the controller and attempt it again. I have been working on my Zyx game again. It seems like every time I work on it, something new breaks. It's really discouraging. So I decided to not work on that as much and instead focus my efforts on other things. I went in the pantry where I keep my over 300 Atari games. I really should play the 2600 more often, not my stuff I made, the other stuff.

Got out my N-Gage collection and was going to play it, but I got sidetracked. I don't know, it just seems like I'm going around in circles today. But I did accomplish something: I finished that jar of roasted peanuts. A small victory for today, but I can take what I can get.
  21. atari2600land
Last night I actually did something I should be proud of. Instead of putting it off until who knows when like I normally do with things I think about doing, this time I actually did it. I played my Atari 2600. What game? Chetiry. Either the game goes really fast or I need a different controller. I started on level 9 because 0 is too slow and the points are too low. And I kept messing up at times placing the pieces which doesn't really help in a game like this. I was surprised the A music was used because I thought it was trademarked by The Tetris Company. Oh well.

And I also went back to work on MidSpace. I thought of a new title screen I wanted to do, but it seems to be horizontally off center a little. I spent a long time working on it last night. I didn't get to sleep until after midnight.

But at the very least, it's more colorful now. And this morning I played it on a real Atari 2600 just to make sure it works on it. Good thing I did because I discovered a bug that's not on an emulator. But I think I fixed it, so that's good. This latest build (v. 36) has 1 byte left. And just for fun, try switching the Color/B&W from Color to B&W. I did that just because I could. And also, there's an Easter egg in the game, which was also hard to put in, but I did. But I don't think anyone will ever see it unless they happen to carefully study the source code. I got 10 hours of sleep because I woke up at 10 a.m. Instead of my usual 15 hours I've been getting.

All of this goes to show you that whether you're making or playing a game on it, the Atari 2600 is a very cool machine. Hence my username.

I will make a Zyx collection #2 under the two following conditions:
My computer doesn't die (it turned 4 last April) I think of enough ideas (I only have 1 so far.)
I'm sorry I was the way I was in my last entry. It just kind of angered me that I didn't know the reason why ggn decided to abandon all that 6 years of hard work. I also hate surprises. I like to plan things out and have them be the way I expect them, so anything that throws a wrench in my plans is stupid and evil.
I'm still working on the first Zyx. A thing I introduced made the thing go all wacko and crap and so I had to go to sleep with a broken game (for the umpteenth time). But I fixed it this morning and can go back to work on it.

Since apparently ggn decided to take Raptor Basic + off the internet forever in a strange post, I will be stopping all future development for the Jaguar. I will finish Zyx #1, but this apparently will end it. I guess I can take the #1 off the title screen. He gave no reasons, he just decided he'll be pulling the files off the internet for no good reason. Very sad and disappointing news. I guess I'll devote more time to my other projects. Jaguar developing was fun while it lasted. But you can't get rid of me making crap that easily. You'd have to get rid of all the other platforms I make crap on. I just hate it when people take their ball and go home and not give any reason why.

Aaaand, SNES Reverse Chronogaming has returned. Sacramento beat Vancouver 84-79. Fortunately, I was Sacramento in my first NBA Live '98 outing. For a guy whose only video game basketball experience is NBA Jam, this was an adventure out of my comfort zone. The Grizzlies had the lead a few times, but fortunately a few late errors by Vancouver, I was able to win by 5. A few times the AI started going up the floor while I had the ball, making me wonder if I actually did. So I just shot it and it went in. Other than those couple of times, the AI is great. It was fun, although I think I didn't do so well. I missed all 4 of my three-point shots. I guess Sacramento stunk at 3-pointers in 1998. The game is really knowledgeable. It told me basketball was invented in 1891. The fans in the stands sounded more like the ocean, which is odd because the game actually talks. It says "EA Sports...It's in the game" at the beginning. And it has all the stats at the end of the game that you can view. This is the second-best basketball game I have ever played (NBA Jam: TE is the best. I don't know how one player is supposed to keep track of all 5 of his guys.) It is nice though that you can play exhibition matches whenever you just feel like playing one game and not keep track of a whole season.

I have been working about changing my sleep cycle so that I'm awake during the day and sleeping all night. I woke up this morning at 3 a.m. after going to sleep at about 1 p.m. What the oddest thing about sleeping 14 hours is I woke up not because I had to go to the bathroom. So hopefully I can go to sleep at about 3 p.m. today instead of 1 p.m. I have a Saturn game coming in the mail today. I had one arrive Saturday, and I bought one at the store as well. I decided I needed more platform games, so I bought an overpriced Pandemonium. Here is my Saturn collection as it stands so far:
    + Bug!
    + True Pinball
    + Last Gladiators Pinball
    + Shanghai Triple Threat
    + Ten Pin Alley
    + Pandemonium
    + Impact Racing

I wish I hadn't sold my last Saturn I had. I still have a disc-only copy of Magic Carpet for some reason. Now I can play it again. But the problem is I don't really like that genre. (Anyone want a copy of Magic Carpet for Saturn? ) I really like the console, I do, but the fact that I have to go out of my way to find reasonable prices on eBay is a huge minus. It seems like every single copy of every single game is priced way too high, and yet the PS1 and other disc-based stuff isn't? How is that fair? One of life's greatest mysteries, I suppose.

Just got an idea for a Channel F game I might make called "Bob the Apple." I'm thinking "Quest of the Cranberry" may be more than I can handle, so I'm putting it on the back burner so to speak. Perhaps I'll make a "Trimerous 2" with Bob the Apple on it. More to come once I begin programming it.
