No amount of degaussing is going to fix a powerful flash being held against the tube and fired. It broke the lining on the inside that holds the phosphors in place on our then only TV. I wasn't well liked for a while........ James

After quite a bit of messing around and trying to figure out what happens during loading, i have finally cracked Letter wizard. it works on XL/XE in altirra, not 400/800. ATR is a copy of my original with minimal alterations. I don't have spell wizard. Also have a PRO image if anyone wants it. James letter wizard.atr

Its a current limiting resistor pack.800xl has it built in to motherboard if i recall. not sure if it is for the multiplexers or for the mylar keyboard circuit. James

I have had a quick look at the 87P50 rom. Only sector maps in there are std 1050 ones. So no special high speed ones. Maybe done to keep same as std 1050 disks. James

Only way is to dissemble the rom for the controller and find the format commands and what ever other commands are used. Maybe the 2k rom will help as well. Then write a custom format program. James

No. The 1064 and internal ram will mirror each other from the 16K boundary and higher. It may or may not work properly. Best not to do it. James
