  1. Forgot to mention you might try B&C computervisions. http://www.myatari.com/atarixlp.txt
  2. Steve, I just put my whole collection up for sale and it is spoken for - including all my software. However, I also ran a BBS from about 1986-1988 in Salinas, CA and I have a ton of PD disks in the collection. I knew several SYSOPs so we frequently exchanged PD software to make available for download to the general public while the users with higher permissions got access to somewhat "Better Quility" offerings. I have not met the new buyer yet, so I'll take a look this weekend to see what I can scrounge up. I'll probably take pictures of the disk labels and email them so I don't have to type in all the names. The guy that's buying this stuff is very cool and I hope that if we have some of your origianl work we can come up with a way for you to get copies of the files. I only know of a few off hand becuase in my documenting my collection I started to type them in and abandoned that idea after only documenting the first two PD disks. 3. I'm making room for my new collection of arcade games. I've got about three hundred disks full of software, (roughly 1000 programs), about 15 cartridges (mostly non-game stuff), about 30-50 Antic and Compute! magazines, many with the original disks, an Atari Touch Tablet (boxed) Edumate Light Pen, MPP-1150 printer interface, 850 interface, two more Atari 800's (1 with no case anymore (?), the other with an original custom wired RAMdisk built by Scott Peterson (who I knew) while he was stationed at Fort Ord, CA. I think it's a 288K module. You can see the wiring in the pics. 3 810 disk drives (one I wrote on with a permanent marker warning me not to turn it on becuase it was partially disassembled), 1 810 Happy disk drive, about 15 books on programming the Atari, the original manuals for almost all of the hardware. I've also got a 3 inch binder full of photocopied documentation for several games, and other interesting stuff like Atari software protection techniques. Paddles, Joysticks. Also a collection of various 5.25 floppy sleeves, each different, about 50 or so I guess. Also about 8 new in box 16K memory modules, a nice cloth cover for the Atari computer, several I/O cables, power supplies, etc. The connector that attaches the Arati 800 to the tv siwtchbox is broken (as seen in the picture) but the extra disassembled Atari 800 has the cable in excellent shape. It's a quick matter to swap the two. I do NOT have the TV switch box. I also have many many pictures. I can email a zip file of the pics and a couple of Excel spreadsheets listing all the software titles, magazines, and miscellaneous docs. There is probably too much to bother with shipping, but I work in San Jose during the week so I caould make arrangements to meet somewhere. The collection is in Hollister, CA. I've included only a few pics to give some idea of what I've got. You can look at some of my posts on www.byoac.com (dervacumen) or my ebay feedback (dervacumen53i1) for assurance. Don't really know what this is all worth and don't have the time or desire to try to make a minor fortune selling things individually on Ebay. If someone is in the area or you have any questions just let me know. Thanks. atari_800_games_working_try_3.txtAtari_Books.htmatari_800_games_working_try_3.txtAtari_810_Disk_Drive_Owner.doc
  4. Greetings all, I'm finally letting go of my personal collection. I've got about three hundred disks full of software, (roughly 1000 programs), about 15 cartridges (mostly non-game stuff), about 30-50 Antic and Compute! magazines, many with the original disks, an Atari Touch Tablet (boxed) Edumate Light Pen, MPP-1150 printer interface, 410 disk recorder, 850 interface, two more Atari 800's (1 with no case anymore (?), the other was my power rig at the time, with an original custom wired 288K RAMdisk built for me by Scott Peterson while he was stationed at Fort Ord. (Search the 'net for this one!) 3 810 disk drives (one I wrote on with a permanent marker warning me not to turn it on because it was partially disassembled), 1 810 Happy disk drive with Warp Speed DOS 7.0 and instructions, about 15 books on programming the Atari, and the original manuals for almost all of the hardware. I've also got a 3 inch binder full of photocopied documentation for several games, and other interesting stuff like Atari software protection techniques. Complete Letter Perfect package, including origianal binder and docs. One disk with Ballblazer and HardHat Mac was leaked to me by an Atari employee at the time, and can't even be copied with the Happy Drive. Paddles, Joysticks, and a few Apple II programming manuals. Also a collection of various 5.25 floppy sleeves, each different, about 50 or so I guess. Also about 8 new in box 16K memory modules, a nice blue cloth cover for the Atari computer, several I/O cables, power supplies, etc. About half of this was used to run my BBS in the mid-late eighties, so it includes a few BBS programs. I'm sure I'm missing some things in this list, but you're welcome to check it out if you live in the area. I can take pics and give a lot of detail on request. It fits in 5 large boxes, and weighs in total about 150 pounds, maybe a bit more. ADDED: I'm in Hollister, CA, USA. I work in San Jose, CA, USA. Sorry I skipped that um...important point. Looking to move it to a local collector as a lot rather than go the ebay route. Shipping would be killer.
