iguana replied to Spud's topic in Atari 2600

DISCOVERY CHANNEL AND THE ULTIMATE ATARI COLLECTOR
iguana replied to popnation's topic in Classic Console Discussion
This sounds cool. It would not be me since I am a piker compared to most here, but let us know when this show will air. -
I recently rediscovered my love for Lunar Lander. I must get one of these. Also Battlezone

they were the ususal suspects. I know there was a Pac Man, Asteroids, Pitfall, and Space invaders. I should have taken a pic.

I was just in Disney world with my kids, anyway I was at MGM and we went to see a show there where an animator talks about the animation process. He is sitting on a stage that is a mock up of an animators office I guess, and he talks to the Dragon from Mulan on a screen. ANyway when we were leaving I happened to look around the set waiting to get out and there on one of the bookshelves was about 15 Atari 2600 carts. I though thow odd that this would be on the set, but cool none the less. I think that is just about the strangest place I ever saw anything 2600. how about you?

Who wants to play some PS2 online?
iguana replied to Mr.FoodMonster's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I can not seem to get my Socom 2 to work Online. It is the only one that has given me trouble. I do like Call of Duty online though. Good Deathmatches -

the Key used to be silver. then the yellow dragon ate it. When he finally passed the key (after 2 months of trying) it had taken his yellow coloring. So now when he sees it he has to run off to the head! Simple really. you guys just do not think things through.

Atari's Landfill Adventures, I now have the proof it's true.
iguana replied to Spud's topic in Atari 2600
this was on the site from the 12th. pretty cool. I assume this is about you Spud? Daily News -
Yes, any posts made from about 1am (CST) this morning to about 11am (CST) did not make the transition. At 1am we backed up the forum database, copied it to the new server, and started the conversion process. Sorry for the inconvenience, it was either that or keeping the forums offline for 10+ hours. I did post about it, but not really in enough time for everyone to be forewarned. ..Al 835113[/snapback] oh good. Ithought I was going mad! I knew I posted a topic! One other question. Why won't the site keep me logged on? I have to log on every time. It used to just keep me on.

Atari's Landfill Adventures, I now have the proof it's true.
iguana replied to Spud's topic in Atari 2600
well if it is fake it is pretty good. I checked the football scores across the top and they are right. -
I never seem to hook mine up. WHen I do I play KC Munch. and Choperlifter (is that the right name, I have not palyed for a long time) I thought I lost my whole collection in a flood, but after drying it all out, it seemed to work again (not that I played it much) I do have to say though, of all the classic game systems it looks the coolest!
-
Yars Revenge, I have to keep it locked up or I spend way too much time on it (and I suck too) Also I get hooked on Missile Command and Astroids all the time

Xbox2 not back-compatible? New Xbox Price lowered to $129?
iguana replied to Mock's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I like backward compatability. And I think it is a great marketing tool. think of it this way. little johny goes to mom and says he wants a PS3 (back comp) or a xbox2 (Not) Mom looks at the stuff ansd says hey the 50 games we bought him the last 3 years will work on the PS3 but the 50 xbox games will not. I will go with the ps3. it just makes sence. In reality the kids will not play ps2 games (let aloan the psone games) but the parents feel like htey were economical. And do not forget the warm fuzzy feeling they get when they realize that Sony is looking out for them by going Backwards Compatable. It just seems more stable. -
What PS2 online games are popular here? I have been playing Call of Duty and ESPN 2005, but what are some good ones out there? Also is ther a fighter pilot game online. I could not find one.
-
Holy cow!! EA Sports and ESPN sign major deal!!!!!
iguana replied to Antneed's topic in Modern Console Discussion
that is too bad. I liked ESPN 2005 football much better than Madden or thier college football. In fact I like Sega sports in general best of all. I even liked the Dreamcast ones more than the PS2 ones I have. -
Commodore 64 30-in-1 on sale at KB Toys for 10 dollars
iguana replied to chrisbid's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I will have to pick opne up next week. I read about this inthe NY Times. THe woman who developed it seemed like a real gamer. I half thought she may be here onthese boards somewhere. She dropped out of HS to start developing her own stuff. 1st she helped build race cars w her dad then she taught herself how to program and made this because she grew up on the c64 and she just wanted to shrink it down. she even said she made it with the purpose of hacking it to add all the extras.
