  1. Wow...just saw that I'd been the first one randomly chosen...cool holiday surprise! Please do keep me on the list for the boxed version as well...but I'm psyched to be able to get the pre-release! Thank you!!
  2. If the games were sealed to begin with, then I'd have to just take a picture of the box and not let people see what's inside. However, none of these games have tape or shrinkwrap on them...I'd actually have to ADD a seal to them to make them sealed, which would alter the way they were sold new. The only item I have for auction that is sealed would be the Nintendo Game Watch. Also, it's a pretty common practice from what I've seen) for sellers to show the contents within the box whenever it does not involve damaging anything...people want to see the condition of the items they're purchasing if possible. The most recent auctions of Intelligentvision releases from other sellers on eBay did the same thing. Hope that answers your questions, Conrad!

  5. If I haven't already ordered one from you, I'll be going for a box, too! -- Jeff
  6. Following through with last night's promise to put up the link for Scarfinger when it's up on eBay, here it is: http://www.ebay.com/itm/INTELLIVISION-Ultra-Rare-SCARFINGER-by-Intelligentvision-New-/121037515645?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item1c2e65eb7d Cheers!
  7. Hi, DZ-Jay, I don't want to get into a back-and-forth thing, and I'll ask that if anyone wishes to discuss it with me privately, please send me a PM as I've never been a fan of dissing anyone publicly (nor do I like being the recipient of it, of course!). But I'll reply to your first four points. 1. I sent the money to purchase the extra games. I'm not the only one who did it, I just happen to be one who counts David as a friend (albeit a long-distance one). I've seen some people selling multiple copies of David's game on eBay over the last year or two...copies that were still available for purchase at the time at the original price, yet they were selling them for a lot more in auction. Given that I had the opportunity to buy more than one copy (as did many of David's loyal customers) and given that the hobby has been taking a big financial bite of late, I considered doing that with his recent games, but my friendship with him made me very reluctant to do so. I wrote to David and asked him how he felt about these sellers who were reselling their spare copies on eBay, because I didn't want to even consider something that might rub him the wrong way. He e-mailed back with a reply similar to the one he wrote earlier in this thread...that he didn't have a problem with someone reselling spare copies to defray some of the expenses of the hobby. He noted that there were others purchasing extras too and, as a friend, he encouraged me to get over my reluctance and take the opportunity while I could. After a lot of vacillation, I bought the extras. After receiving them, I almost considered keeping them...I have more than one of many things in my collection, and it's that whole "OCD" thing I mentioned earlier...but I saw people in this thread talking about having missed the opportunity, I was encouraged to let these go to people who wouldn't have had access to them otherwise, and so I decided to get the games out to new homes now. 2 & 3. Me, I haven't hyped anything. David, he is a bundle of enthusiasm for this hobby...if he hyped anything, it was out of love and excitement. 4. This one is so dang cynical, man, and just totally off. Several other people have complimented David on this thread, too, and I would much prefer to be publicly saying nice things about other people than to be doing otherwise (and I've done so with other game producers, too). In David's case, I have so much respect for the man as a gamer, a producer and a person, and, as this thread already contained positive comments toward him, I was absolutely compelled to join in and give him his due props as well. I think everybody who has purchased any of his games or has ever met him should seize the opportunity to do likewise.
  8. Truth is, I feel the same way about all the homebrews. My CVG-OCD (Classic Video Games Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) has been increasingly active in the last couple of years. Lots of new homebrews for the 2600, Colecovision, Intellivision, Odyssey 1 & 2, 7800...like a Pokemon guy, "I've gotta catch 'em all" (and the 7800 and Colecovision scenes are exploding in 2013 with the new expansion modules!)...and, though it's been taking big chunks out of the wallet, I love the games and the hobby too much to stop. Could I wait a few months before selling the extras? Yeah, I suppose I could...but in the interim I could wind up with an OCD that makes me decide to keep "backup copies" for myself (it's happened many times before) and I see a bunch of people in this thread wanting them in the here and now. I figure it's win-win. And, looking at the Intelligentvision games others have posted up for auction in the last months, the start-up number is probably not where it'll end up anyway. And, dang it...these are GREAT games David's produced....!
  9. First, I want to publicly thank David for all the hard work and passion he has put into these Intelligentvision releases. I had the privilege to become friends with him when he lived in Miami and I was SO impressed with his dedication to the Intellivision, from his CD compilation to helping people in other projects (whether it be Intellivision, Colecovision, or getting a certain Gamer's garage organized so his wife wouldn't kill him) to all of the many Intelligentvision games he has produced. And if you ever get the chance to know him personally, let me tell you, this is an EXTREMELY nice human being. THANK YOU, David! I wish you weren't retiring from game production and I wish you hadn't moved away, because, man, YOU ROCK. For those of you who missed out on the limited-releases of his final three games, I picked up spares and am placing them on eBay tonight. Choplifter is already up...Deep Pockets: Super Pro Pool & Billiards will post at 9:15 pm...and Scarfinger will come later in the evening. The link to Choplifter is: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 121037187583 The link to Deep Pockets: Super Pro Pool & Billiards is: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 121037010823 SCARFINGER -- I don't know the link yet. I'll post it here when I do.
  10. Theoretically? Sounds like someone's got the wheels a'turnin'.... Separate carts for each, IMO!
  11. You've got my $30 as soon as you give the word!
  12. I'll definitely buy a cartridge of this game...please put me down for one. Thanks! :-)
  13. Just to add to the list...I paid for both Ature and Skull Island, never received either. :-( *SIGH*
  14. While I've been in contact with ya'll about Mario Bros. over the past couple of years, I want to make sure to get my reservation here on the thread here, juuuuust in case. Thanks! Jeff
  15. Yup, here's me getting on line for a CIB cart, too! Count me in!
  16. Please put me on the list, too, por favor!
  17. Put me on the "me too" bandwagon! :-)
  18. It's alot simple than it look like ** Related to an original CV game ** I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. colors relate to numbers on Mouetrap Overlay is my guess. 1 is red, 2 is yellow and 3 is blue. so if you type yellow red yellow that's 212. My guess anyway. I like Yurkie's interpretation better than my own. I had thought it might have been the car colors listed in the manual and in the game for Burn Rubber. It has eight colored cars in it. The first one pictured is red, then light green, then yellow, then blue...which would suggest that yellow-red-yellow is $313 (third car, first car, third car). I vote for Yurkie!
  19. Put me on the "me too, I'd like to buy one but can't go to the Portland event" list. :-)
