This seems like a good idea, with the size probably some good detail could be put into the monsters. Wade
-
I think I'll call the game Extream Monster Tag! LOL Wade
-
Thanks so much Tim, Yes I agree with the size limitation I couldn't make any of the monsters look as good as I had hoped I could, they all do look like what they are suppose to be, I made the Mummy light green I seem to remember a picture of Karloff being a slightly greenish color, and besides Dracula is already light gray. I didn't want to have two the same or close to the same color. I like the Wolf man and the Mummy best, Dracula I wish I could have made better! Wade PS I will have to make a doctored picture so you can see everything that is actually there, wow it reminds me of the time I tried taking some pictures of ET's Candy Bars, it would only show two sprits at one just like this does for the pictures.

I have it looking pretty good but I need figure out what to make the mystery monster. Wade PS these pictures either show Player and the Wolfman or Dracula and the Mummy. The Devils are from after the monster had been touched or time ran out.

I have been thinking on making a Halloween Hack, It would have the three most all time favorite movie monsters in it. Forgive my spelling of their names please I am going to try to sound them out. Lawn Channey as the Wolf Man Bella Logosi as Dracula and Boris Karloff as the Mummy I think it would be a cool game. Wade

Multi-Color Invaders in Space Invaders?
Pac Munchkin replied to DiscoSnorlax's topic in Atari 2600 Hacks
How is the hack coming along, I haven't heard anything? Use the compare feature to compare other hacks of Space Invaders to the original Space Invaders. This will help a lot, or maybe just go with hacking Rainbow Invaders? Anyway I hope everything is coming along quite well. Wade -
Hack-O-Matic 3 with Pinning feature and comments!
Pac Munchkin replied to SalemFrost7800's topic in Atari 2600 Hacks
Yes that was what I had been waiting for, You mean I can copy in the bookmarks like one pin like lets say player walking sprite, then highlight all the pins of the player walking sprite and paste and they will all be labeled player walking sprite? Wow this saves all that paste move paste move paste that I had to do before! Excellent work!!!!!! Wade -
Multi-Color Invaders in Space Invaders?
Pac Munchkin replied to DiscoSnorlax's topic in Atari 2600 Hacks
Oh wow what a way to screw up the new hacker! LOL Ok do not try comparing Space Invaders to Rainbow Invaders, that would be like trying to compare Defender to Chopper Command, or Apples to Oranges to use another phrase. Sorry dude. Wade Rainbow Invaders is not a hack. It's a new game, programmed from scratch. -
Multi-Color Invaders in Space Invaders?
Pac Munchkin replied to DiscoSnorlax's topic in Atari 2600 Hacks
I think a good first step would be get HOM3 and compare Space Invaders to Rainbow Invaders, try to find what is different so you can know what changing each part achieves, little by little. Wade -

Please note when I make a pinned version of something or Tim does that is not necessarily all there is, so if you find anything one of us missed go ahead and update the pinned version after all we are making these for any hackers out there that would like to try hacking these games the easy way. For instance in Tom Boy I found the sounds to pin, I never found sounds in any other game but if you do please go right ahead and pin it for the rest of us. I don't believe I pinned the background color for Malagai, so if you find this and would like to pin it go right ahead, I like the black screen so found no reason to change it, so I never found it to pin. Yes I hope you do get some more experienced help, the game seems it could be great! Well at least make Fonzie's knees move? Sort of like this. OOOXXOOO OOXXXXOO OXOXXOXO OXOXXOXO OOOXOXOO OOXXXXOO That is his right knee walking now his left OOOXXOOO OOXXXXOO OXOXXOXO OXOXXOXO OOXOXOOO OOXXXXOO I think these two frames might look like walking, I don't know I haven't tried but at least it is a start and can improve from there? Multi-Color Invaders in Space Invaders?
Pac Munchkin replied to DiscoSnorlax's topic in Atari 2600 Hacks
Yes I see what you mean there is an invaders game on Bally Astrocade I had wondered from when I first played it what made it look so much better. What I realized was the invaders are multi colored, so I know anything Astrocade can do Atari VCS can do so you are right this would look better! Wade PS BTW someone did hack Space Invaders into a game called Rainbow Invaders, this looks much more like the Astrocade I think AstroInvaders? -

Cool you are back in the game of things! It is good to see you are back at it. Wade -
Wow I thought i was done downloading versions of this a while back, but here it is Ladybug final version, can't wait to try out this one! Excellent job!!!!!!!!! Wade

Wow I see, I thought this was really going to be great, but you mean this is like your first game? And Batari Basic is too limited too? I don't know, I thought it could do any game that was out there pretty well if you know how to program with it, but now I guess not. Could Batari Basic do something like surround, and have a square bouncing around? maybe like a Qix game? Wade
-
Cool I could really go for that, I never played it before but it sounds good to me!!! Thanks for the explination, this case a picture was not worth a thousand words. I couldn't tell from just the picture. Wade

Hack-O-Matic 3 with Pinning feature and comments!
Pac Munchkin replied to SalemFrost7800's topic in Atari 2600 Hacks
WOW man you are on top of things, you are moving too fast for me to even tell you what I found wrong you already fixed! lol Excellent job!!!!! Yes pinning Malangai I lost my book marks flipping after I showed the bookmarks, but I thought I'll save by reloading, that was when that other error came up you also said you fixed, so it shows you are really on top of things here. I didn't lose the bookmarks because after the error I closed it and opened it again and there they were, it never saved the lost mark version. Malangai is coming soon pinned. Wade Thanks Wade 3.008 actually has an annoying bug in which if you flipped the rom you lost your bookmarks!! The lastest version (3.011) fixes that along with: 1. Improved search (mostly internal code improvements) 2. Filtering by bookmarks is still painfully slow, but undoing that is now much faster. 3. Fixed a bug that if you were filtering by bookmarks and loaded a new rom you'd get an annoying error dialog. 4. More choices for highlighting via a customer color picker. Anybody using this? The idea was to search for code patterns that would typically indicate color setting or other actions so that the eyes could catch them easier. I was thinking of prepopulating the search combo boxes with some of the usual suspects for searching for colors, etc... If I could just get a few more performance improvements I could be done! -Jeff -
Wow looking excellent!!!!!!!! Wade

Is this like a children's game? The blocks are very large, I just don't see it, but then again I am looking at a still picture not actually playing the game it self. I liked the marios pills game, that was a good game so was hattris. I think marios pills was pulled because it has a bad influence on kids, kind of an opposite effect of "Just say no!" lol Anyway they were great puzzle games. I can think of two PC Engine puzzle games that would be great, one involved rolling balls to their home location, the other was something about kicking animals maybe like animals into each other? It has been a while, but I have them to check on if you want to know. Wade

What happened to Fonzie's Nightmare? It was coming along so well, perfect for a beginning, I thought so much more was going to be added to this game? Wade

2600 Defender Arcade - Pretty Much Complete!
Pac Munchkin replied to PacManPlus's topic in Atari 2600 Hacks
It hasn't died according to Bob it is finished, "his version" the one you can easily download here is done, and he would be willing to put on a cartridge. Supercat's version is his and he hasn't been around it seems. Wade That would be too sad.lol
