  1. Wow even added a highlighted feature!!!!! Cool!!! Keepsa on getting better and better, every time I think it is done you improve it! WOW thanks Jeff!!!!! Wade
  2. Fast Food is now pinned! I do not have the intermissions pinned, sorry but I am not good at those Neo knows them inside and out I do not. Everything else is pinned. Wade Fast_Food__Zirok___Brazil__pinned.zip
  3. Coming soon two new pinned ROMs while I was working on making the Hack I now share with Neo "Mad Max" I took extensive notes on paper of what I found and where. So I should be able to do a FAST FOOD Pinned soon. Also Pac Man being my very fast hack I have some vague notes on, that one might take more time, I may need to re find things for that one. Wade
  4. Cool one of my favorite C64 games on it's way! I know this is a Midway arcade game but I played it on my C64, just like Lazarian another really good game! Wade Actually it could even use something like this
  5. Couldn't kick man use something like Circus, the balloons are already across the top throw in a few Pac man sprites and change the jumping platform to kickman. then make the balloons fall onto kickman's head. Wade
  6. I tried hacking Alien Returns but even changing it slightly makes the screen go all haywire. I was going to attempt to change Alien Returns into a Turtles like game, there would be differences of course because in Alien Returns there is an order the parts of the ship that must be grabed. Col'n seems easier to hack but it seems off, like the bottom of the screen is below the viewing area. Maybe this just can't be done? Wade
  7. Way to go!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH this keeps getting better and better, you may for years in the future have still the best darn hacking tool there is! I mean with that compare that took a lot of work out hacking for me, before if I wanted to compare roms I had to convert them to text files and then run them both through a text file compare utility. It is great to compare on the run while hacking. Excellent job keep up the great work! Wade Here's v3.005 and a list of changes... 1. Fixed an undo bug that I doubt anybody would have encountered 2. Notes property undo - not sure why I wasn't doing that from the beginning 3. The compare feature is much more user friendly. Play with it and find everything new, but of course it can now be minimized 4. Compare is now against the active document being edited not the saved copy. -Jeff
  8. You're talking about The Last Starfighter. Yes that is it! you are right. Wade
  9. Wow now that is amazing, it actually was not a hack! I mean I can exchange code back and forth and it actually works! That was how I got gators in Tarsan's Rescue from looking how they were in Pit Fall and transferring some of the bytes to Tom Boy, and it actually worked! LOL What are the odds of that? Wade
  10. The funny thing is about the Tom Boy hack, I could have sworn Tom Boy was made by RainbowVision, it was an official cartridge you could buy. I must have been mistaken when I realized it was really just Pit Fall hacked. lol Wade
  11. With this pinned version you can makes hacks as good or better than my Hot Munchkin or Hot pac'em. BTW Hot Pac'em is actually my hack of of Pac Man Plus'es Alien Pac Man, Hot Munchkin is totally my hack of Alien from the ground up. Wade
  12. You know I was thinking Qix just bounced around the borders but you are right this makes it harder to program, but then again it is the 2600 so that could be cut out too? Wow the more I think of it Qix would really be butchered to end up on the 2600, much like Pac Man was originally or Zaxxon. Well the game play would be similar so it would still be Qix I guess. Wade The ball in this soccer game stops and changes direction on its own? What a peculiar soccer game it must be.
  13. I remember that movie he played the video game the Great Star Fire and then found out it was a test for him to learn to fly and battle in a real space ship against aliens or something. It was one of the first all CGI effects movies. Wade
  14. Alien Pined I will tell you even with Alien pinned this can give you headaches it is a very peculiar ROM. But this will help a lot, remember where it said minus the bottom line this means your sprite must have the bottom line cut off it must be blank, why I don't know that is just the way it is, if you do not you will get garbage in your sprites. Wade ALIEN_pined.zip
  15. Oh no I mean a button to minimize the compare screen (the little line button in the corner next to the boxes and x button usually), Minimize this way it drops it down I can check on the main screen and and change something or not then maximize the compare screen again to see the next address I want etc... Right now compare always stays on top meaning I need to keep opening and closing it to use back and forth where as is it have that ability to switch I could just press alt/tab to switch back and forth between the main bitmap window and the compare window. Wade Good catch, I've never tried that combination. I guess for now do all your flipping before viewing only bookmarks. I'll see if I can fix that in the next build. What do you mean by moving the compare to the task bar? You want a button on the bottom of the form to launch compare or would you be better off with a control key. With the compare window the name in the title shows the first file name and the 2nd file name. The values correspond to the files in that order. -Jeff
  16. Jeff the bookmarks feature with the flip feature, If I show the bookmarks then try flipping it crashes. If I flip it first then show the bookmarks it does not crash. The compare feature I really like, it would be better if you could knock it down to the task bar so I could go back and forth. check then change then check. Also which version is which, I think the original is on the left the compare version on the right is that correct? The only other thing I can think of is if the compare feature and the color chart where interactive so that if I click on the byte to change that one is highlighted in the compare or I could click on the color and it changes in the binary. But if I had to pick just one I would say the ability to click down the compare so I could go back and forth comparing and changing. Wade
  17. Here is Tomboy pined Sprites labeled Colors labeled and Sounds labeled! Remember Tomboy is originally a hack of Pitfall so this really turns into two ROMs pined. If anyone wants to make a Tomboy hack as good as or better than my greatest hack yet "Tarsan's Rescue" With my pined version you can! Wade TOMBOY_pined.zip
  18. Jeff, Hack-O_Matic III is totally awesome!!!!! You are awesome for making it too! I just pined Tomboy completely. That also means Pitfall, since Tomboy was really someones hack of Pitfall. So anyone that would like to do as good a job as I did on my greatest hack yet "Tarsan's Rescue" can now do just as good with my pined version. I need pin my other hacks now, including the hacks I am working on, Robot Tank needs pined bad!!! Man that is a tough hack! Wade Jeff, well done, again! Thanks for the fixes. I like all the additions to the hack-o-matic source. Is there any way to further optimize the code for 32k binary (i.e., Fatal Run) load times? I'm guessing not since it's MS NET (answered my own question?), but I'm used to hack-o-matic 2's lightning fast load times. The tradeoff for the slowdown are the great new add-on features. I've looked at the code and the problem seems to be the speed in which the .NET 2.0 datagridview control loads data. I'll take a 2nd look, but I think it's as tight as I am going to get it unless I dump the control and do something else - which would be more work than it's worth to me -Jeff
  19. I don't really know what these are but it sounds like a good idea, a lot of my Hacks if I wanted to hack again, I would need to find everything all over again. I could do that quickly with file compare, and testing but so much easier if I have a map like what you are talking about I guess? Wade
  20. Bad hair day! LOL That would be a night mare for Fonz, maybe Fonzie's nightmare! LOL
  21. I think the color of Fonzie's head looks fine? Maybe a little darker but that looks fine to me. Wade
  22. Thanks. I wrote it using Visual Studio.NET 2005 using the .NET 2.0 controls. Going backward to an earlier version of VS wouldn't be an option for me because 2005 is so much better and well it requires .NET 2.0. -Jeff some things i do not like, if I flip the bits and then change somethiung to save it I need to flip the bits back to save it, this can be a problem when you change something to see what this will do and you find most your change gets lost. some things that would be nice Find next, and rom compare side by side. Wade
  23. I used Winzip 9.0SR1. Earlier versions might not work with the newer max compression scheme. -Jeff I used 7 zip, that worked fine. No my comments! Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Maaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnn!!!!!!!!!!! I just tried HOM3 it blows Bit Hacker away! I love it, everything is clear easy to see and read no more squinting like bit hacker, it scrolls with the mouse it has the color chart binary and hex. This is IT!!!!!!!!! I love it! Wade
  24. Well I downloaded it, and from the text file it seems you have passed off, Bit Hacker! Wow great job, I can't yet try it, because I need to download that other net thingy? I noticed it didn't say it scrolled with the mouse wheel, if it does that would make this the perfect replacement for Bit Hacker. Even bit hacker's play field mode was never really what it seemed it could have been, so I could give that up and switch back to hack-o-matic easy especially if I can use the mouse to scroll. Wade PS even if it doesn't from what I have read so far you still blew Bit Hacker out of the water!
  25. I believe he will complete it, I would like to see it completed, the game has come along very well so far, and Fonz chasing after girls was a great idea! I would like to see the boxes changed into Curt and maybe Malachi? But I know it has a way to go, I mean Fonz's knees don't even move yet. This looks like it will be a very good game! Wade
