    Here is my attempt to draw a missile cat. The first is one line resolution. The second is two line resolution. When animated they would go frame 1,2,3,2,1,2,. . . The head should probably be a little behind the body in the first frame, even in the second, and in front in the third. They look nothing like cats, but I thought I'd share them anyway.

    This is what the cats will look like, ok at least it will play like Mappy, I understand with the limitations of the Atari just look at Kangaroo and some earlier games. I can live with these cats I guess. :)

    I have a touch of that, it used to be very bad years ago, oh well cool then I'll just call it Tarsan then.

     

    Any way I want to let you know I changed the money bag into a girl sitting down waiting, it looks good, I think I can change the rest of the prizes into people too.

     

    City folk crashed a plane in the jungle they are lost Tarsan rescues them all. That is my game story I guess.

     

    This way I can give them cloths instead of all wearing animal shins, that is too hard to make look like many people when they all look very much the same.

     

    Next update and I believe again final when I get all prizes changed.

    I had seriously this thought on my mind, Tarzan wasn't a material being he would have no need for money or gold or even a lost ancient golden scepter!

     

    So I have been thinking of re-hacking my Tarzan hack changing all the prizes into people to be rescued, like Jungle Jill and his boy I can't remember the name of his boy was it Tony?

     

    Maybe his monkey Coco?

     

    I don't know but it would be more interesting and more of a challenge for me to hack so I am seriously considering taking up Tarzan again, even though I just said it is done! :ponder:

     

    So that is in my plans yet.

    Also if this gets to copyright issues I'll change the name to Tarsan. :grin:

    I try to add pictures this wants URLs, the pictures are on my hard drive not some web page, Then when I finely thought I figured a way to do it, I get sorry Dynamic pages are not allowed in Image files, what on earth does that mean? Anyway I can't add pictures sorry, this is looking very good, you'll have to take my word on that. you should see my Cobra that is so cool but everything is looking good.

    Newest update and pretty much done! :D

     

    I fixed the baby croc to look more like a baby croc, also changed to green.

    I changed the gold diamond to a gold scepter!

    There are now a gold bar and a silver bar to find.

    Plus the bag of money.

     

    I may......... change all the prizes to look like some ancient lost treasure like I did for that cool looking scepter! :cool:

    I loved Blue Max but it would be impossible to scroll diagonally, so it would need to scroll sideways I guess? I would not like to see it end up like Zaxxon if it is attempted.

     

    Zaxxon another game I want to see as a side scroller on the VCS someday! :D

    Ok I am going to slowly go through bit hacker changing every 33 into a 2 until I change that top part of the wall, I thought it should be in the same location as the rest but that does not seem the case. It will not be hard I think I'll use the text file I made with showgfx to locate every 33, using the search function in my text editor.

     

    It will be perfect when I am done with it. ;)

    YEAH YEAH YEAH I found it!!!!!!!!! Using my text editor and search it was the very first one it went to, 04C9 is the color of the top line in the wall! :thumbsup: :grin:

     

    By the way it was 34 not 33 I had to search for and change to 2.

    Fixed the trees I had messed up, Next I need to fix climbing Tarzan I really messed that up he now climbs green like Pitfall Harry where I messed that up I don't know, it may take some time to find what I did! :ponder:

    Fixed color glitch I made climbing Tarzan.

    Fixed falling through the holes in the wrong location glitch I also made.

    Changed Jump sound to sound fuller and better.

    Changed Dog into a baby croc down in the tunnels, still looking for color for that.

    Changed Tarzan a little, improved the graphics.

    Changed the colors as well.

     

    I think I may change the swans to be more something wild from the jungle like a bear or baboon?

    Also the same for the cat I may change that too, I like the octopus like it crawled up out of one of those swamps!

     

    Also still looking for the pitch of the sound I think it is playing a triangle and pitfall it a square sound.

    Changed Tarzan yell, to sound like a Tarzan Yell.

    Added underground walls

    Changed Swans into Wild Boars

    Changed Cats into Cobras

    Changed Octopuses into ComonoDragons

    Made the square holes bigger harder to jump over.

    Changed the gold to look like a gold bar

     

    Things to do find out what on earth is making the top line of my walls red and change it to gray! :mad:

    All these games seem like they have already been done, and in color yet.

     

    Amazing Maze > Maze Crazy

    Datsun 280 ZZZZap > Night Driver

    Tornado Baseball > Real Sports Baseball, M-network Baseball

    Checkmate > Surround (but the three enemies might be interesting?)

    Desert Gun > that seems it was not done in any form for VCS

    Dog Patch > Again that seems it was not made I can't think of any

    Guided Missile > also seems not to have been done

    Laguna Racer > Enduro Racer, at lest it looks like enduro from that picture

    M-4 > looks like to me the M-network tank game.

     

    So there are some but I would rather see color games, even though I was born in 66 all my first games were color, owwwww wait no I played pong and Space Invaders but other black and white games I don't remember, except for Death Race and Bezerk, almost forgot a game with a periscope it was pretty much like target fun, I remember those.

     

    But most were color games I played.

    Newest Update I changed the colors of the trees, the sky the ground, the swans, I added Crocodiles, I changed the yell swinging on the vine.

    I fixed the swans the graphics were a little off on the bodies of the swans.

    I need to find how to lower the pitch of the yell to sound more like Pitfall yell.

     

    I hope you like it, it is looking more and more like a jungle, oh I also fixed a glitch in the Octopus sprite.

    Yes I loved Frantic Freddie, but have to wonder if it could be hacked from Fast Eddie, the ladders would need be changed of course and the sprites. That music would probably need that Pitfall II sound chip? I do remember it was very fun and very fast. also the ladders were like walls so that made it very challenging, a very fun and unique game really! :cool:

    Couldn't Qix be done something like Surround, yes the graphics would be much thicker for the lines but the fun should still be there?

    PS another idea instead of that line changing thing that could be a square that changes colors.

    I have the witchboard

    JPG along with some other talking board pics, you just chose preview mode and full screen then use the mouse pointer, it works fine. Remember to relax and ask only from the light let my answers come.

     

    No need to make a VCS game out of that unless you really want one?

    Since Tom Boy is supposed to be a little girl character, she's now a transsexual. :lol:

    In the game it looks like she has a crew cut and is only wearing a pair of shorts, maybe that was suppose to be a skirt? :lol:

     

    Oh well now it is a guy with long hair Tarzan.

     

    It seems the more I work with it, it was a hack of Pitfall to begin with?

     

    Why the hacker removed the crocodiles if this was Pitfall is a mystery, I want them back in the game.

     

    I have a lot of ideas yet for this.

     

    But I may even just scrap the whole thing and turn Pitfall into Tarzan.

    I believe you haven't seen a lot of homebrews to say that, I am just a graphics hacker, I hack graphics and colors in games, like my Et's Candy Bars game or my newest hack Tarzan, that is fun and fine but when I see what these guys that really know the Atari can do!!! I am amazed at their stuff it takes quite a lot more understanding to make a homebrew game from nothing. Have you seen Lady bug? Conquest of Mars? Stratogems Deluxe? Thrust? Go Fish? SeaWolf? As only a hacker talking and not even a seasoned hacker the guys that made these games deserve a lot of respect for their games.
