Oh no, no! I just thought it was a programming exercise, so you were leavint it that way. Sure I would like to have it in a complete form, with lots of music, different backgrounds and mazes, more animated sprites... I can't wait for a good compilation of classics' remakes (Lars? where's your ballgame?) Keep up the good job, guys! Ciao!

Gimmie some good advice Jagheads....(Jagophiles??)....
Paolo replied to Pooyan's topic in Atari Jaguar
Hey, pooyan! Don't listen to those bad guys here!!! There is only one "must keep" in your collection and it is Checkered Flag. They all want it This is a high rollers item. Fight! <serious ON> Did you pay that .99 or it is just the sticker and you paid more? Ciao! -
Mmmh... I wouldn't trust a PC MIDI clock Hurry, transfer those midifiles from that your PC, before they get contaminated Ciao!
-
First, be sure to save in a standard Midifile format (type 0 or 1) Second, find and format a 720Kb floppy disc (you know your ST won't read 1.44Mb discs) on your PC (ST formatting won't be recognised by those stupid PCs, while PC format will be directly understood by your ST) third copy your Midifiles. Then use the program you like (and there is a HUGE quantity of them out there, not the couple of programs available on PC platforms) to edit and play your Midifiles. Ciao!

MIDI? You are kidding, arent ya? MIDI was BORN on ST! That's the place where all the modern MIDI things you know happened for the first time. Before that, MIDI was just a protocol to let your DX7 communicate with a TASCAM recorder, or for transferring data patches between two keyboards. I would direct you to Tim's Atari MIDI world for more infos (and programs) http://tamw.atari-users.net Then if you mean playing MIDI tunes with those horrible SoundBlaster audio cards, well, maybe you should think in buiyng at least a low performance SoundCanvas audio module and connect it to your ST! Oh, about Word Processing: You can use ANY printer you like (bubble, jet, laser, faxdriver, ...) You just need a more recent wordprocessor. I would suggest Papyrus, even an old version will blow M$word miles away (just try it on your PC) Enjoy your ST, enjoy it! Ciao

Hey, Gunstar! You should submit your picture at MYATARI.NET, for the tip of the day section.

IIRC James Garvin made those modifications (sound on + money off), but then we didn't hear from him. I recall that somebody actually had a look at his work, stating that it was a good improvement, and the development went far enough with serious mods at the main engine. I wander where is James now... BTW, about DL2:time warp, I do own this game on DVD, but I don't like it very much. But there is this interesting feature where you can watch the whole movie, and also a few WIP, with drafts and b/w segments.

Looks like you converted it in a SECAM jaguar! Test the SCART connector: once it happened that I used a Y/C-to-scart and got the same thing. Bye.

Yesterday my wife found the pile of jag-related boxes I stored in a closet. She couldn't understand why should I keep them. "They're just boxes! Once you take the content out, their goal is acomplished." It took me ten minutes to explain, but I think I didn't succeed. Anyway, I'll keep the boxes (permission granted). I don't really know why, but I like to keep them. And I am not planning to sell anything, just keep the boxes BTW, I still have the box of my TI-59 calculator (go figure!) with thermal paper printer and Solid State Software cartridges (along with the working calculator and printer, of course). But she didn't find it

I knew I was stepping into troubles Oh, my! I always thought that it was a toast like 'cin-cin', 'salute', 'prosit' and such! Bye! (May I use 'bye'? Or there is something between 'bye' and 'regards' that suits the friendly messages we send each other here at AA?)

Aaaargh! Please don't do this to me! I consider you my correct-pure-english-writing-inspiration! OK, I'm calm, now. Let's see if I did my homeworks actually THAT's what you ... ...birthday is ON the 14th... ...weekend,... and last: wouldn't it be bettere using 'consecutio temporum' to write: ...that there was nothing they could do ... OK, now BASH ME, I'm ready Cheers!

Yet I miss the wonderful music and the GREAT table in OBSESSION for the STE. Aaaah! I have the demo (1 table only) and saw the full (4 tables?) at a friend's place. Terrific! I should try the FAlcon Obsession demo. It was by a swedish company (unique development think) that also made a doom-style game (nice sound effects). But I'm going off-topic now. Bye!
-
How strange! I just like PF waaay more than ruiner: I think the tables are more colourful and the scrolling is smoother, and the resolution is higher. BTW, I own both of them, and I'll keep'em both:-) It's up to you: try them, and find what matches your own taste. Bye

I think there is no point in resuming gameplay, since the game is played in fixed-time rounds. And I don't think it would help to save the game between round 1 and round 2. What I miss is the save feature for the score table. When I got the game I played for 3-4 hours, using different teams and settings. Then the next time I turned it on, I realised I lost everything . Aaah! It reminds me that this is the exact same thing I did it with Braindead13. But that sucker had the 'save' option in the menu, so it has been worst ...need to play again with Fritz...

Yes, and it is MINE! Now, if you put yourself in the waiting list -recently- it means we are TWO Ciao Tony.

I bought Dragon's Lair 2 on DVD, and, i'll tell ya, I am not that happy with it:-( But there is the funny thing that you can watch the whole movie:-) And there is that WIP movie that is nice, too.

check the pin connection scheme on your user's guide: it is probable that one of the pins in your monitor port is the composite out. IIRC only some versions left out the composite signal to allow a genlock signal (STE). Of course it is better if you use the RGB signals, arranged in a SCART connector.

Great job, guys! Now, Where's the website? (I get lost browsing the huge thread) What about the sponsorship? Paolo

RCA audio out mod on standard ST/STFM's
Paolo replied to Gunstar's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
You know, I've had an ST for a long time, then I bought an STE. I was so used to the 'standard' sound of my ST that I didn't bother to use the STEREO RCA plugs on the back of my ste. Then I found a demo showing the stereo capabilities of my ste, so I HAD to connect it via the RCA plugs. WHAM! a whole new world (not mentioning the stereo feature). Since then I used extensively those RCA plugs. But I never thought of creating an RCA out for my 1040. Good job, Gunstar! Paolo -
Try asking the guys at the little green desktop. they use ST fonts & colors widely, I don't know if the bitmapped everything, but it looks a good place to start with. http://www.atari.st/

Nice reviews and pics at jagu-dome www.jaguar.holyoak.com Good starting point

Lots of people at JI2 came here as soon as the AtariAge guys told us about the jag section. I think that if you check the nicknames here and at JI2 you'll find almost everybody here. Yes. Serious moderation needed at JI2
-
NO! Don't tell me you don't know anything about the 'ags'. Very very bad of you This has been discussed for ages at JI2, and even here (IIRC) there has been a discussion. To make it short, it is a very strange way to call 'money'. I am pretty sure T'bird know the full story, and Stone wrote a whitepaper about converting ags to $ and Euros and £
-
Now you hit a nerve here in the Eurozone We have different plugs in each country: Italy, three in line pins, the middle being ground, in two falvours, large (more spaced pins) and small GB, HUGE plug, three rectangular shaped pins, arranged in triangle position, it's the bigger plug un Europe I think Germany, Shucko plug, rounded, two round section pins, ground is on the side of the plug, used almost everywhere now for ovens, washing machines, and such. the list goes on and on.
