Maybe I need to dig out my camera and post a picture of mine. It may be an even rarer variation (though others would likely dismiss it as counterfeit, even though I ordered it direct from Mr. Dodson back in the day). BTW, to clarify the 2600/7800 issue, the cartridge is for the Atari 7800 only, but it may be used for either 2600 or 7800 development. I used mine to develop a kernel demo in 1994 that would later be used for Strat-O-Gems. you have the first version. If I recall Dobson sold the rights or what ever to video 61

I don't know a CC2 just sold on ebay for like $450.
-
Which ones? Most of the older CGE ones reproduction wise. things like Elevator Action, Combat Two, etc. They repros were bringing about $80 Also most initial limited releases. CGE Crazy Valet brought like $60, and pretty much any of the limited/numbered original releases.
-
well at that price you could have the real thing, cart only of course. btw , since we're talking about aftermarket carts, anyone else notice that a lot of the older homebrews are getting expensive? most of the bring from $50-$150.

So should I hold off on the next wave of items or what?
udisi replied to Crazy Climber's topic in Auction Central
I say hold off a week. If the strike does happen, your sales will be low, if not, all you do is waste a week. -
Just how much is Boulder Dash® worth to you?

I used them a few times with no problems

Who made that Tetris2600 cart, I've never seen that one before. I knew the game existed, but not that anyone besides Hozer made one...Unless you made that one for yourself.

Here's the list I have for Reproductions from CGE 2001---Combat Two, Elevator Action(200), Secret Agent. 2002---Bugs Bunny, Crack'ed, Holey Moely(think this was CGE and Philly Classic), Pick-Up, Real Sports Basketball(250), Save the Whales, Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs(250) 2003---Entity, Looping(250), Rush Hour, Stunt Cycle(Maybe was just philly Classic) 2004---Nada 2005---Nada 2006---Nada 2007---Lasercade(90 Normal/10 Red),Meltdown Also I believe the original Intellivision Productions releases of Sea Battle and Swordfight were released at CGE 2000, though it could have been a different show. I beleieve all the releases were limited in some effect, I've listed the print runs in (). I've been working on collection Homebrew, Hack, and Reproduction information for a while across all kinds of systems. I can tell you Atari2600 is by far the most challenging. The Hacks section is really a pain since sooo many people do little 20 or so limited run productions.

I not trying to debate how many Hozer carts were made and open that can of worms again. I'm more concern with finding Ed to see if maybe someone can get consent to reproduce the carts nowadays. From what I've found, I think High Voltage Software would be worth checking out.

All I could say is that the info in my article was given to me directly from Ed himself, not second hand. I've been trying to find an active contact email for Ed for like 3 years now with no luck. Asking him directly would surely put this to rest. I have no reason to think the info I was told was off as the person is\was a good friend of Ed's. I bought my copy of Edtris from this friend of Ed's back in 2002 and sense have lost contact with him also. He still had #17 at that time also as that was the only reason I was able to get my copy from him in the first place cause he had 2 of them from the batch of 50. Hell I can only hope my info is bad for the sake of the hundred or so folks that have bought the game past #50. Not like it would be that big of a deal it would just be nice to know for 100 percent sure is all. Bumping this up. Not sure if it's the same guy but an Ed Federmeyer is credited in NBA Hard Drive 2004 for Xbox, Leisure Suit Larry Magna Cum Laude, Deul Masters PS2. Apparently He worked for High Voltage Software, Inc in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. at least as Late as 2004. He may still be there. I would say there's a decent chance this is the same Ed since he was going to be a programmer and was at school in Chicago area. Edit: Was there at least through 2005 as he is also credited on Charlie and the Chocolate factory ps2

NEW Update: Tron Guy Picture Cart "See Last Post"
udisi replied to Atari Charles's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Well the checkout cart puts it at $105 ... take that how you will -
Actually quite a few NWC Golds have been bought on payments. Granted between collectors who knew each other, but still. It'll be neat to see what kind of offers you get.

looks like this lot still went for a steal. nice pickup

uh-oh...someone found the Quadrun Stash

*Yawn* these Atlantis II posts are getting old.

I normally sell my sealed games and trade them for opened ones. I honestly don't see the point of sealed stuff, but that's just me. This reserve on this X-Man is pretty high. I bid $750, and it's not even met, so keep this in mind when bidding. I will completely remove the reserve. I was just worried that there wouldn't be much interest with Pepsi Invaders, Crazy Climber and Quadrun all on Ebay at the same time. Shame that is looks like the Quadrun and Crazy Climber came out of the ET landfill

pretty good prices on the SNES stuff...they shouldn't last long.
-
It's totally in ebay's best interest to do this...then again you have to remember ebay is a buisness, and if it weren't for ebay the majority of people wouldn't have a market for selling. They know this and People know this....thus people will try and scam ebay, and ebay will in turn do what they want to keep making a profit...it's simple.

Pepsi Invaders/Coke Wins Auctions in the Past Year or So..
udisi replied to DreamTR's topic in Auction Central
well, I'd say 5k sounds a bit steep, but then again coke wins is also a title with a lot of allure. I'd say there's only a hand full of atari carts that will break 2k. When you go above 2k, you're dealing with a select group of people and depending on who's buying , who's selling , and at what time you're selling, things can get crazy. It's even hard to put a solid price on these carts. Video life may sell for 5k, then 7k, then someone might get a deal at 4k. It's mostly about timing and circumstances when you talk about the big stuff. Anyway the following are the cart I think may have staying power above 2k. Video Life Coke Wins Atlantis II and maybe Air Raid other than that I doubt many of the other carts would break 2k. All these carts above have one or more thing working for them to command that price. I'd like to see what a complete Music Machine would bring. not sure if it'd reach 2k, but that one I haven't seen in a while. As for which one of these will bring the most, I'd say Video Life and Coke Wins have the best potential. Video life has already set the bar at 5k, and Coke wins has a great story behind it and has broke the 2k barrier already. I'd say that Atlantis II is probably just as expensive as coke wins atm, but Atlantis II looks just like any other Atlantis cart and many big collectors don't care that much for the cart itself. I'd say the copies with the paper work and a little more of the story behind this cart could bring a ton, but the cart only copies have probably peaked. Air Raid....see the many thread to see Air Raid argument ...Love it or Hate it. Legitimate or Hack, this cart will command close to 2k and if the allure surrounding it continues, I could see this break upwards too... This title also has the ability to break down too, if more people join the hack side of things. Also some possible corrections Kizuna Encounter English for the Neo Geo AES is the most expensive cart. It sold for 12.5 or 13k...Not sure if it was NTSC strickley or if it was PAL. It was a Euro release , but Euro releases were playable of US NTSC consoles. Oh and on the 2 recent NWC Gold sales, one went for 8.5 K and the other went for OVER 9k (I know who this sold to, but haven't talked to him lately) I think it may have broke 10k. -
As a business owner I can tell you why. It costs the company to be able to accept those cards. So they're carrying the two most popular cards only in order to save costs. Ebay wouldn't lose anything (directly anyway) by carrying Google Checkout. I understand - I have set up merchant accounts myself. AmEx also tends to take higher percentages of sales from transactions (though this is decreasing), so a lot of small businesses avoid using them. However, eBay loses money directly by carrying Google Checkout, since they profit every time money goes through their PayPal subsidiary. The one difference betwen this and a regular buisness though is you're not paying ebay when you buy something...you're paying the seller. I would think it should be the person getting paid who gets to decide which forms of payment they accept. Is it ebay that gets screwed by paybacks? no...it's the seller. Is it ebay that gets screwed by a scammer...no it's the buyer. Now if ebay was escrowing these auctions , then sure, they should be able to decide under which terms they will escrow, but as it stands, all ebay does is provide a market for people to sell their goods, and they're already compensated for that through fees. The fact is, it is their company, and they can run it however they want. It would be a truly bonehead move if they allowed Google Checkout right now. It would help Google Checkout greatly and really put it "on the map," so to speak. And since Google Checkout is PayPal's direct competitor, that would be a worse business decision than hiring Micheal Vick to sell Alpo. This very much the truth and I'd probably due the same thing if I were ebay, but it does walk a fine line along anti0competition law, and I wouldn't doub t at some point someone tries a civil lawsuit or challenges it as a monopoly at some point.
