udisi replied to homerwannabee's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Your probably right. I should of started this Auction early Saturday or Sunday. Not many people are going to take notice of this auction at first being I put it up late at night. Especially people in the east coast. So you are serious...Not an April Fools joke? We if you are serious, I'm gonna be the first to say...Good for you, The 16-bit era is the best of them all. -
Selling my entire NTSC Atari 2600 collection!

That's what I was thinking -
It's real , it's a guy from DP who also has a Silver Gravitar
-
Actually, this is the entire lot so my bad, hes taking castles of Illus and Dick tracy out. I should mention that especillay since that is the one you mentioned CASTles. so 16 games all extras and console and yes 105 shipped it was. well he just took the 2 most rare games out of it. Most sms games complete are $5 or less. (think of the sealed 7800 game craze). Doesn't mean they arn't good , but sms games are all mostly cheap. Eitherway, $100 isn't bad as the Boxed sms w/3d glasses is a tougher set to come by. You're probably paying around going rate.

SOLD! Tooth Protectors Instruction Book PLEASE REMOVE!
udisi replied to slosu's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Sold to the 2nd highest bidder? I thought DreamTR said $60 unless he was kidding. -
Nope, They've been sold out for a loooong time... They have one of the Gameboy games still, but the sega, Nintendo, and SNES stuff has been gone for years.

If I were you I'd retract my bid till I saw some new pictures.

he's back to buying jag stuff too http://cgi.ebay.com/Atari-Jaguar-Alien-Vs-...1QQcmdZViewItem -
Discount Games is one of, if not, THE biggest NES reseller. Hense they don't really have to worry about slow shipping and negatives cause they do soooo much buisness. Not saying you won't have good transactions with them, but they really don't have to try hard to make their money.

It's my wife's sister and that's just the way my wife's family is. They're all crazy, and if you show a sign of weakness you'll get eatten alive. Her mom is even crazier(maybe not as gross), but you have to watch them all, except her Dad who is kinda normal and you feel sorry for because he's stuck with this crazy wife and kids. Thus I had to respond bigger and better to the toe nails. Actually I had saved up a bunch of toe nails to get back at her first, the fart in a jar was just a " you don't know who you're messing with here" type statement.

Dont get too excited it is march 1st, maybe has to due with unpaid fees I hope you're all right, but I'm not overly excited yet -
I blame Wilington, DE for this...I get the same damn credit card offer from there atleast once a week. Not to count all the other garbage mail I get. All this garbage mail is clogging the system.

Totally agree with ya here, especially when you can atleast PLAY the game, and the cardboard just sits there. I think it's mostly more accepted because there's more collectors of cards. Coin and stamps are another good example. Get a 1 of 100 Coin or stamp, and you're talking millions, get a 1 of 100 game and you're talking hundreds and MAYBE a thousand or 2. btw, I also collected cards, but I would and have spent way more on a game.

IRS goes after Ebay, Wants info on sellers earnings
udisi replied to espire8's topic in Auction Central
This totally doesn't surprise me. The government losses a ton in misrepresented taxes from ebay sales. -
I was in the running for that loose one a few years back, and passed cause I got a shot at a NWC gold. This complete one is very sexy though. If I remeber correctly, this was NOS from the commavid sale which makes it as mint as they come. One question though, is the label on right on this one? I thought one of these had an upside down label. GL with the sale, as I just dropped a ton on cash on SNES stuff, otherwise I'd be thinking about this.

To answer one question, the original xbox wireless adapter DOES work on the 360 because that's what I use because I was too cheap to buy the new small white one. BTW you don't need to install the drivers like you did on the original xbox. It's pretty much plug and play.
-
I saw this the other day at gamestop, and I was happy not only to see another Pirates game, but it was also only $19.99 as opposed to the usual 39.99 a new PSP game costs. Also someone asked is the xbox version is truley 360 compatible, and I'd have to say yes cause I play mine on the 360.

Just chiming in with a +1 for Jason, He's a really nice guy, and his prices are very reasonable for retail, I wish their were more independant stores like his.
-
I can't believe this guy hasn't been thrown in jail yet, he is random, but has got himself in trouble everywhere I've seen him, hoestly I think the banning of him from buying and selling forums, will save a lot of headaches and arguments later.

It'll probably fail, but it's free and looks neat at the time. Free Game stores and such www.gamersmarket.net

now, I do resell spare copies of newer games to support my hobby, and I don't have a problem with most reprints. Suikoden III was actually pretty rare when it first came out on ps2, but konomi itself reprinted it pretty quickly to meet demand. I have no problem with this. The same thing happened with disgaea and atlus. The companies repressed a game that was still current to meet demand. Now I don't like what GQD did. They took games that hadn't been presses in several months or years, and which publishers had no intentions of repressing and repressed them. They did it for a couple PS1 games too, including rhapsody and Sayuki: Journey West, not just ps2 games. The reason I have a problem with their repressings is pretty much the same reason other people have. They tried to do this while presenting them as original pressings and selling them at rariety type prices. They didn't sell rez, gitaroo-man, or Marvel Vs Capcom at 40 or 50 bucks like they're original release price, they sold them at 70 to 100 dollars. I agree that they killed any current gen collecting for the most part cause if any titile passes 50-60, people just turn off it cause they anticipate a reprint. This is not nessassarily a bad thing. it controls the prices of current gen systems pretty well, and when the system life ends, the games that were gonna command a premium price will, you just get a longer time to acqure that game before you have to pay for it. I'm not too worried about reprints though, cause over time, a good game will always be a good game, and over time with cd based games, the demand will over come the supply.Look at FF7 or Synphony of the night, 2 years ago people were trying to give away GH copies of these, now they're commanding primium prices and both of these had Millions and Millions of copies pressed. CD's get abused, they become unplayable, they're not as resilant as cart based games. You'll still have modern gen rares, you just have to wait 10 years to see whats gonna stand up to the test of time in demand. As for those worried about atari or nes reprints...Don't...Alot of the companies they'd have to contact don't exisit anymore, plus the cost of reproducing a cartridge based game is much more than a CD based game. It's not viable buisness plan for GQD. Not to mention collector's are on the lookout for this type of practice now.

..is the video game collector magazine dead?
udisi replied to minorleagueguy's topic in Gaming Publications and Websites
I'll admit it's far from perfect, but I like the idea of vgc. There's not a whole lot of choices out there for classic gaming reviews and info, and besides the video game bible and the digital press price guides, there's really no published and updated price guides. The price guide may be lacking in on particular systems, but other systems are getting decent. You have to remember that vgc is pretty much run by a handful of people in there spare time. If you look through the mag, they have very little advrtising, and I doubt the circulation numbers are all that huge. Taking this into consideration, and how much it costs to produce a print publication nowadays, I think the mag looks good. It's full color, glossy pages, etc. I'm sure if they could get better cirulation and sell through, they could hire on more people, increase advertisement, and better the price guide. -
Doesn't exisit, unreleased, I believe "theredeye" screen name and believe web site had a proto of it. I believe it was far from completion.
