  1. 20,295 Level 14ish :x

I only see ATX version of this game floating around. Any ATR version or executable as my PC interface to Atari doesn't do ATX stuff. I can deal with ATRs as they are just sector dumps after you remove the header.

The .rom won't work? Let me see if I can find the .atr version. If I can, I will PM it to you.

  3. I do have one question... is there a "help" page for this new software? I clicked on public view for a poll (because I am not smart enough to know what that REALLY means)... and now, even with editing, can't undo it. Or at least I can't find where to undo it. I prefer the polls for the 8-bit HSC be anonymous. I don't want everyone knowing who voted for what.

There is a "Help" link at the top of the page under your username:

    http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=help

However, I'm not sure it's detailed enough to answer your question. Hmm, I tried editing the poll and I don't see any way to change it back to a "Private" poll. I'm sure I can manipulate the database directly to fix that, though. Okay, fixed. :)

    ..Al

    Thanks Al!! :)

I can avoid this with the next poll by not clicking that option...I just can't fix it now! :(

Oh, BTW... nice job... thanks for all of your hard work Al. It is greatly appreciated!!

  6. Wot happended to River Rat then it was 2nd place last time :?: :!: Maybe it'll make a come back next time :)

It has been on the list 5 times. That is what I am doing...putting all the ones that didn't get 5 chances back on the list. It wore out it's welcome! ;)

  7. Damn dude.. if your 'fro was a little bigger, you'd look just like David Hasselhoff...

YEah. You got a classic problem there.. The wife says "I sure wish you'd spend some time with me, instead of messing with those computers for hours on end." This is because women need constant attention in order to reaffirm the validity of a relationship in their mind.

And this problem is not gonna go away.. There are two ways to fix it (assuming you want to keep both the wife, and the programming hobby)

    1) Get her to develop a serious interest in atari programming, so she can help you, and that way it becomes something you both like to do together.. (heh. not damn likely.. but hey.. You never know.)

    2) Whenever you want to have a programming session on your atari, you must first take the wife in the bedroom for about an hour and give her a good "working over." I mean literally, shake the house with her... Drill her so hard and relentlessly that afterwards, she's worn out, can't walk right, and is seeing double.. This will ususally offset the problem in her mind long enough for you to get several hours of uninterrupted concentration on your coding.. The effect is only temporary though.. You'll probably find that you have to repeat this process several times during a long extended programming session (like if you wanna spend all weekend on your latest development project.)

Sorry.. I just had to laugh!!!

  8. Considering I have a classic game store and arcade in Nashville, I am very interested in where this is going to be...

I will be asking my Mom to go and see your arcade, in the HH Mall right?

    Your place looks great!

Yes, my store is in the Hickory Hollow Mall...the only true arcade left in the surrounding Nashville area...

I had originally asked where your place was too...but then I saw your sig and looked it up. Since you are only like 3 miles from my house, we might make it to the arcade too! :)

I'm surprised you haven't been here yet...nothing much else in Antioch!

We just moved here the first of April. We've only been to the mall once... and that was really only to Sears, as it was almost closing time.

I pretty much avoid malls as much as possible. But perhaps in the next few weeks we can make it over there. :)

  11. I will let the poll run till July 31st. If you are interested in playing please post a comment here in this thread. That way, I can keep a tally of who all wants to play. If we choose to have one it will run 4 weeks like last years... starting mid August to mid September. It is more of an "end of summer" bonus contest. In order to have one, we will need at least 6 people to play (3 teams of 2). I would prefer 9 or more (3 teams of 3) to make things a little bit more interesting. At any rate, again, if you want to be included, please vote yes, and post a comment in this thread with your interest and perhaps any ideas you might have. Thanks a bunch and happy gaming!
