  1. Okay guys, I am leaving town again in a little bit. I won't be back till late Saturday night. So, I will do all the updating and posting of the new poll, either when I get back or on Sunday. We are having to go back and forth to Nashville (4 hours away) so we can move. John (my fiancee) has accepted a job there. So, it looks like I will be away off and on till we get moved. I hope y'all understand. Take care, and talk to you all again late this weekend.
  2. I swore I fixed that... sorry about that!
  3. Popeye Contest ends Friday, March 27, 2009 at 11:30 pm EDT. Play on factory default settings. This was released in the US in 1983 by Parker Brothers. Here is also a link to the instructions. 4. I am leaving town in the morning and won't be back till late Saturday afternoon/evening. I will post the new game then. In the meantime, feel free to play whichever one wins the poll. You just won't be able to post your scores till I get the table up.
  5. That's fine, am not hassling, like I say you're the boss!!! A lot of these are copies I have on multi-boot etc so not suitable for uploading to Atarimania I am just trying to be as fair as possible... and unfortunately I haven't had as much time to devote to doing the research lately as I would like. Hopefully, in the next few weeks, I can spend more time doing what needs to be done, so that all of the games can be played... or at least voted on.
  6. These sites are good for games if AtariMania is missing them: http://www.mushca.com/f/atari/index.php?idx=0 http://atari.fandal.cz/games.php http://atarionline.pl/v01/index.phtml?ct=katalog&sub=%23 Thanks for posting those links!! I didn't know about those websites. I already know about Homesoft, Fandal's site, and the Polish site. Some of the sites have "hacks" and we will not be playing those ROMs. For instance... Nibbler on the Homesoft site has you starting with 99 lives. I don't feel it is fair, and if I can't find the game on Atarimania, or check it out prior to game play, it will not be on the poll, until I can find an alternative. I am sorry if this seems harsh, but this is supposed to be for fun.
  7. Thanks for the info! I use a PS3 joystick with the emu. Might need to check one of these out for the 1200XL.
  8. FINALLY got beyond level 4, only to be killed on level 5! 58,000
  9. If at all possible please just post new ones instead of editing the ones you have... it alerts me, and I can keep up with it better. I don't want to cheat anyone.
  10. I only list games that I can find ROMs for. This is because it would be very difficult for us to have a challenge if only one or two had the game. So, that is why there are some games that have been suggested that more than likely will not be offered up on the poll. I try to make sure that everyone has a fair shot, and can do a little bit of research on the game, so they can know what they are in store for.
  11. ROM location: http://www.romnation.net/srv/roms/46485/mame/dkong3.html
  12. 2nd try...a little better... 12,600 This is actually kinda fun once you get the hang of it! 41,500
  13. I have never even seen this game... first try 2,100
  14. Poll ends noonish on Friday, March 13, 2009. Links to the game information: Pastfinder (Activision-USA-1984) Rainbow Walker (Synapse Software-USA-1983) Mr.TNT (HesWare-USA-1983) Drol (Broderbund Software-USA-1983) Popeye (Parker Brothers-USA-1983)
  15. My joystick is a little sensitive... I keep running into myself. Talk about having a bad day. 40,970
  16. Really neat pics... thanks for sharing!
  17. I couldn't figure out how to put my name! 43,910
  18. I think I will just give up now! hahaha
  19. Interesting game... never played it before. 11,530
  20. Thank you for submitting your score... but we only play Atari 8-bits in this HSC. I think there is an NES HSC, or at least used to be. Perhaps you can submit your scores there.
  21. Nibbler Contest ends Friday, March 13, 2009 at 11:30 pm EDT. Play on factory default settings. This was released in the US in 1983 by Datasoft and programmed by Mark A. White. 22. Absolutely... I will add them to the list. I need to finish the research on the games so I can get everything all posted. I am being lazy.
