Accidentally or intentionally here, Kieran is correct. Empire Strikes Back WAS the third Star Wars game to be released. The conversion kit to turn a Star Wars machine into ESB (it was never released as a standalone cabinet) came out in 1984 after the Return of the Jedi arcade (1983).

The one and only part of that I will comment and note is that RG are very careful about images now, after a couple of misappropriated submissions landed them in trouble in the past. So part of the remit about any article now is that all images must be either taken by the author, or supplied with permission (noted in the article as to source). So George having a fake image would fall into that bracket, if the image was not granted to be used.

If it’s anything, and it’s only a small note in proceedings, Kieran isn’t the only one I’ve found guilty of repeating the same word in a sentence while proofing. So he’s not alone there. And it is one of those things I try to edit out or rephrase.

I know, it’s horribly painful. I know English as a second language friends write better than that.

Just want to step in here mate, as someone who has either written pieces for, proofed, or owned all of Sam’s books to date, the only Bitmap book Kieran has been involved with is the upcoming Atari book. None of the others, not even the Speccy book he reviewed there. Wanted to only fact correct.

First part, yeah, Sanxion was a decent launch for Thalamus (and I prefer it to the memory test that is Delta) but no comparison to Armalyte. As for Thalamus as a whole, they were adapting but as far as I've been told about their finances, the Amiga games were not selling any where near enough to keep the company afloat in the market with the C64 dying off.

The guy I used to work with who came from Hungary and had several years English learning as a child/teenager (prior to the Iron Curtain descending) wrote better English. I won't publicly quote my usual price per word rate but £1000 owed on the Thalamus book is taking the piss. I also wrote some stuff for the same Thalamus book iirc and did I get pissed it was put on hold? No. Then again I wasn't told what I'd written was shit either...
