  1. Well you need a 5 pin cable, not an 8 pin.
  2. Only way to be sure, dump them and hex compare.
  3. In regards to that, Hubbard was asked by the programmer to compose his title track in that schema... so he mashed up a couple of CV tracks as the result, and how well it came out...
  4. Got some carts, presume you are in the US though?
  5. Actually more like you can't see the links unless you are logged in...
  6. I will also tag in the video I did a couple years ago
  7. The latest VecFever firmware update allows you to directly emulate Asteroids...

Making the bases wasn't cheap. I guess you're going to make a few as proof of concept, work on the project, gauge interest (there was certainly a lot!) and see how the initial batch sells before thinking of continuing. Except the two guys fell out before any were totally complete and ready to roll, so that nixed any sort of continuation on the project past what had already been produced. Can't say if the offer to buy them had been extended more widely they would have sold quicker, given the price, but seeing how many Radpads have sold to date, and they were not much cheaper to buy than the price I paid for the one you referenced, then maybe price isn't a factor here.

He may mean not being directly sold in the US, and thus having to pay a lot more for shipping. Sadly shipping's a bitch, and us in Europe suck it up re Packrat et al (which is no fault of his here, it's all on USPS and its rates).
  10. If you are using an iPhone for example, when you go into Photos app, if you are holding the device with the Home button at the bottom, the default thumbnail will demonstrate exactly how it will show in a web browser. You can actually rotate the photo in the Photos app to be correctly orientated in this stance, so it then looks okay when posting. Usually what I do before posting to FB from my phone to prevent photos being sideways.
  11. Browsers don't obey EXIF data in photos, including which way around is "up". If you are taking shots with an iPhone for example, "up" is when the Home button is at the bottom of the phone. I know this as I helped test our apps in my previous job for reading and processing it correctly when displaying images.
  12. Yeah, this is why I was asking, makes a lot more sense for non-US buyers who can put their own POKEY in it heh.
  13. Is the reason the POKEY version of Froggie is $10 more because of the different board needed? Also, do we have to supply the POKEY at order fulfilment because it is soldered to the board, not socketed, and thus why we can't it ourselves (or you could try) after the game is delivered?
  14. No, VecFlash is no longer being produced. I'm sure some of us (including me) can try out the build to have a look. Do they have a no buzz Vectrex btw?
  15. Yeah not sure one has really been constructed. Many of the games are roughly the same rarity. Notable differences are Dark Chambers, Mario Bros, Donkey Kong Jr, and Scrapyard Dog being harder to find than NTSC; conversely Alien Brigade, Mean 18, Planet Smashers, Ninja Golf, and Midnight Mutants are arguably easier to find.
  16. I was under the impression that the bare circuit board version of Magicard (which I used to own) was the first release of the product, sold with manual, overlays in a clear baggie, and the blue label shell version was next.
  17. Interesting question that first one... would be interesting to here. I did put a POKEY on my CC2 (back when they were easier to find!) so never had to worry...
  18. The earlier anthro PacMan artwork was used for the European release iirc.
  19. Nothing rare there but should fetch a decent price.

I stand corrected, I thought they didn't. Still would like them somehow heh...

The games do exist on standalone cartridges for a lucky few that were given them, albeit without the high score saving I believe, and a little cut down due to fitting into 32K size. However sadly plans for marketing them as titles was shelved, and the only real way to get them is to own a VecFever.
  22. Not going to help, all the boxes released in Europe are the US boxes. The only way to find out is to plug the cart in.
