That's awesome, Jay! Did anyone else notice that the screenshot's a digitally-manipulated pic from one of the Genesis Streets of Rage games? Stone

There's a core that emulates 'Paula' by one of the German coders...the name escapes me now though It's really good though Stone
-
Take a look first...they aren't that small Stone
-
Some people are working on it being possible with a BJL kit only, but I don't think it's been done just yet... Keep your eyes peeled for updates when they do Stone
-
A region-switch might indeed solve your problem. More details here. [/plug] Stone

It is original. I've seen in in one of the stupid amounts of catalogues I have Stone
-
Whoops, it speeds up a lot if you play it in NTSC Still no sound though... Stone
-
I didn't get any sound at all when I tried it... It also ran excrutiatingly slowly (sub 5fps). Other than that there were quite a few graphical changes and things I'd not seen in the final game. None of the enemies could attack you and your shots did nothing to them. You could strafe and change weapon on the HUD, but not the displayed weapon or change its effect. All things considered I think I prefer mine Stone

Mine's got a manual. You've been shafted. Stone

What he said There's a lot of flexibility built into the system. For convenience I'd recommend the Sinister MOD player (allows 4-channel MOD, mixed with sound fx) but if you prefer MIDI and have all the kit, FULSYN is probably better. For FULSYN you should really have an Alpine/MIDI interface board though. HTH. Stone

There's also a bug in the controller code for the first warp stage which makes you gradually oscillate out of control. Fortunately the 2nd controller can do everything, including adjusting the sound volume when the game's paused Stone
-
Good man Mendon I've been ill at home a few weeks without my JagCD (or my Painter CD, as it happens), so I haven't been able to make more 'profitable' use of my time... I should really get started again when I pick up my hardware Stone
-
Hey Junosix...how many others d'ya reckon I can convert? Stone
-
I thought it was 32-bit with a 16-bit bus, thus both? Stone

So, Dragonforce, are you leaving or not? Stone

No UK Hockey teams? Don't feel bad, it took me forever to figure out hockey too. Icing is especially hard to understand and can really slow the game down. If you think Ice Hockey is bad, try understanding all the rules to American Football... Tempest There are UK hockey teams (ice hockey teams too! ) but neither is a majority sport here - the average person on the street would likely only know the rules if they'd played it, imo. American Football...you mean the one where you don't use your feet? Poor man's version of rugby Stone

It's supposed to be, but I can't make Space Ace or BD13 work in PAL mode either. YMMV, natch TBH I don't see any reason to play them either Stone
-
Just what I was thinking; Atari didn't make a 4-chip board for 4MB games BHH is a funny game...the commentary cracks me up every time Shame I'm not coordinated enough to control it and don't understand the rules of ice hockey Stone
-
That's the NTSC thing. Readysoft don't know how to write region-compatible code, is all Stone
-
They're the ones I have. You can't use them with BJL as they need to run from cartspace, so you must have an Alpine. V002a is the mockup version, the rest are physics demos. Stone

I realised that...I just can't beat the evil triangles Need...more...caffeine... Stone
-
I'm pretty certain the camera is fixed for each of the game modes - the first-person one is a seperate mode which works differently. I can't be sure, because I can't complete the first level Stone
-
Look at the back of the JagCD box. @CHR_AeON: Which demo is it? I have some physics demos and the design proto demo (which shows the basic game mechanics; quite cool, but as Atari_Owl said, you always have the same result - any shot will get you onto the green, and then any shot will make a perfect putt Nice intros though. Stone
-
1) There's no difference between JagCDs sold in PAL and NTSC territories. 2) Any official Jag supply will run any Jag or any JagCD. 3) 'About a dozen' means he has about 12. Stone

I haven't checked, (I imagine others have!) but does rev23 have the dummy encryption track on it? If it does (so there's an entry in the TOC) I think it could in theory be encrypted...that'd be even cooler Stone
