The publically-released version of Phaze Zero is a straight dump of the flash cart it was on, so there's a blank header on it. With an ALpine or flash cart it loads to $800000 and runs from $802000; I don't know if Project Tempest allows you to load things to cartspace, so this may or may not work for you. Works great on real hardware though Bear in mind it's a very technically-advanced game, so emulation isn't likely to be perfect even if you can get it to run. Stone

All carts work on all systems, but that's not necessarily what he was asking Jags come in at least 3 'regions': 1) American (NTSC/60Hz) 2) European (PAL/50Hz) 3) European v2 (same as above, but with no RF modulator) I believe the Japanese ones are identical to the American ones. As Tyrant said, a PAL Jaguar will work just fine on any decent TV if you use a video cable (not the RF output). Your TV will either squash the picture to fit your screen, or you'll lose the top and bottom edges of the screen. Likewise, an NTSC Jag used on a UK TV will either have the image stretched to fit, or will show it 'letterboxed' with black bars top and bottom. The image size and whether it's stretched or letterboxed is entirely down to whether the Jag's running at 50Hz or 60Hz, which is switchable via a motherboard jumper. If the TV doesn't support the colour encoding (PAL or NTSC) then it'll only display in black and white, if at all. I'd suggest you check your TV's manual (or look up on the Net) to see whether it does support a PAL video signal - many major manufacturers' sets will (for example my Sony). Hope that helped Stone

Nope, there's a couple of models of controller, as you found out The ones with black keypad buttons also have italic text for the numbers. The Dpad on these is more comfortable, in my opinion, but the keypad keys have a squishier action which I find irritating. The ones with grey keypad buttons are the other way around Some of the ones with black keypad buttons also hve a much thinner cable, which is easier to tangle into a horrible mess. Personally I'd recommend grabbing a Procontroller - the redesign makes the dpad much nicer overall, and the action buttons on the original controllers aren't a patch on the redesigned ones - they have a lovely texture and semi-solid action which I really love Stone

In that case I'd suggest you talk to Gordon of Sinister developments (sinigord on these forums, IIRC) - he's including a module on the rerelease of his game Painter which will allow you to swap the Painter disk for an unencrypted one and let it run. Given that Painter's going to be encrypted, all you'll have to do is load that up, then swap the CDs over No reason you couldn't use the exception vectors (it's certainly better than the production Jag's error-handling - 'on any error, crash' ), but I'm afraid I still don't see why you're so reluctant Incidentally, Symmetry of TNG (also a forum member) wrote a lovely little BJL app to boot unencrypted CDs - it's only about 4KB, so all you have to do is upload it with the CD in the drive and it'll boot.
