  1. Xbox Live (or just online gaming in general) is great. It's fun, challenging and a great experience altogether. Of course people who use hacks, cheats and glitches screw it up for everyone, but when you get yourself a nice core of players, for example on your xbox live friends list, to play on a rather consistant basis you never really have to worry about that stuff :) Glad you're havin a good time!

  2. How's about Swagman? lol That game could definitely be done on the Jag. I've never played it, and it looks and sounds bad after reading about the game. But after seeing some screenshots I would say the Jag could definitely do that game.

  3. Scanner is being a pain in the ass. But I should be able to get it working soon. The page is really no big deal except for the one paragraph. The other side has some nice shots of early Jag games and canned stuff which I'll scan as well, as soon as I get this hewlet crappard to work :)

  4. @ Buddybuddies -- I forgot who it was that sent me a copy, but he sent it to me with those inserts. Looks custom made but nicely done from screenshots.

Well the auction is over and it netted me nearly what I originally wanted. 1925.00. I wanted to at least get 2000.00 but this is fine and i'm satisfied. plus it looks like the winner is going to enjoy the majority (if not all) of the entire collection.

And nothing personal to sweetstuff4u, but I'm glad you didn't win the auction. Your bunches of emails sent to me through eBay (all in caps no less) was rather annoying and your kinda sneaky attempt to get me to say my reserve price was what really bothered me. I stated in the auction that I would not release that info to anyone no matter what but you still tried to find out in some way. While your honesty about what you would do with the collection is fine and whatnot, i'm very happy that it'll get more use from the current winner. (which hopefully he/she won't back out!)

  5. Quick! before you sell it! :)

Found it! Going to hook up my scanner tomorrow/today and post it up then :)

@ Video - Yeah I was one to think also that most likely it couldn't handle it. I mean I like the way it displays pre-rendered graphix and Hover Strike for the CD looked pretty good with it's textured graphix. And when I look back on the first tomb raider the textures look bad enough to where I think the Jag could handle it and make it look a little worse ;) . Probably not all on one disk, maybe 2 and the loading would be something to probably get aggravated over ;). But I definitely think Swagman would've worked on the CD. I mean if you really think about it, usually all CD system based consoles have a "bad" first run of games. You have some good and some bad and it always takes some time to tap into a systems full potential. I think the Jag CD is really capable of displaying better FMV sequences and in game graphix. Unfortunately it didn't live long enough for us to see -

  6. Wow - up to a thousand bucks. Looks like you just might have made the right choice to not break it up.

I just methodically went through this auction to add up how much I think could be made if every item was sold individually. I know my Jag prices too because I have been scouring eBay Jag stuff for years now...I came up with $2,850!!!. I can safely say if it was broken up and sold individually, it would all fetch atleast $2,500 and possibly $3,000... :)

You're starting to make me have major second thoughts about selling it as a whole ;)

  7. I have this article (somewhere) I believe it was from a CES show that had listed some new games coming out/or planned for systems. In the article it mentioned how Swagman & Tomb Raider were planned for the Jaguar (CD) (as well as the PS1, Saturn, PC & 3DO) and the same goes for Swagman. While I think the chances of there even being a possible Beta out there of either of these games is impossible, is there a possibility? Or maybe it was junked? Does anyone think the JagCD could've handled Tomb Raider well enough compared to the Saturn & PSone? Or at least hold it's own against it?

When I find the article i'll scan and post it up :)

  8. Well I checked out the thread, thanx for the heads up everyone. While he does only have 2 negatives, and it is possible it could've been a misunderstanding, we'll never know. But definitely something i'd like to keep in mind. Regardless of whomever wins this auction, I planned to go about shipping the items with everything I can put on it. Delivery confirmation, signature confirmation, full blown insurance everything that I have to do to cover myself since I don't plan to screw anyone -

  9. its very hard to make all the money back from a collection that took years to get

if i sold my entire 3DO collection i wouldnt get anywhere near the $4000 i spent on it, but i know i have atleast 1 piece that could get close to $800 for, but as for the rest i would be lucky to get $1000 total

and right now i would love my $4000 back :(

good luck Jagmx i know how much you loved that collection

Tell me about it. That's why i'm aiming for a reasonable amount of what I had spent. Actually to tell you the truth I can't even remember what I paid for some of the expensive stuff! But I know certain things were a lot and the amount spent I definitely won't get back. But I'll see what happens ;)

  10. Hey guys, I don't mind any conversation about anything in this thread. The only thing I don't want is flaming and arguments ;) Besides, it's definitely going to happen where some things are going to be re-sold from whomever gets this if they aren't a re-seller.

But hey if it doesn't sell the 1st or 2nd time around at the price I want for it and I magically get a new job within 2 weeks, i'll definitely split it up and sell it all separately. :D

  11. Hey guys. Yeah I would really love for this to go to a Jag fan. Even if it was to fill a bunch of holes and then they'd sell off whatever they replaced and didn't need. I already saw some bidders who are just sellers and resellers. Hey I can't do anything about that ;), but I'm just hoping it goes to someone who gets some kinda use out of it.

And yeah, I could've went and sold everything separate, but aside from having to deal with all that splitting up I think this is easier. I deal with one person rather than 100 and worry about deadbeats and pains-in-the-asses. Packing it all up and making 6 dozen trips to the Post office. And while it is possible I could make more separately, I think it would make either the same amount, slightly more or slightly less if I split it all up, with ebay's fees and competing against other's cheaper prices.

Chances are tho, if I can't make what I would like to get for this and would have to relist it more than once, I might go the route of splitting it up giving others a chance to get what they'd like, but I'm undecided on that still :)

and as for that Flightstick, It wasn't all I thought it would be when I had first gotten it. The controls with it can be frustrating at times ;)

  12. Hey everyone - Being that I haven't been to this site in a long time and I stopped posting probably over a year ago I'm hear to announce that my large collection of Jaguar items is officially being sold. I originally wanted to sell off stuff one by one - To give collectors a chance to fill up holes and such but I could really use the full cash from the entire collection to help my recent financial problems. Plus I want someone to be able to enjoy my collection right away like I have. So basically this is for anyone looking to grab a huge collection in one shot. I'll be posting this in the Auction section as well. But I figured it's also wise to let the Jag fans know about it here as well.

So anyone interested please check out this auction and spread the word if you can. I'd appreciate it. I know how this community was in the past with a select few random people flaming people and such. Please refrain from doing so here if you feel the need to. It's really not necessary :)

  14. i just watched it again - dude, really great job - the music, the graphix - awesome! the patience in putting this game together is really paying off! awesome job man! I can't wait till the final product! - screw this im keeping my jag collection! thanx man! :)

  15. HAving recently sold a bit of my Jag collection, Id say that after Battlesphere, Catbox and JagCD prices fall off pretty far.  2K would be a stretch.  Ebay might get you there but for the comman Jag Carts most folks arent looking to pay alot.

    Just my $0.02 -

And thanks for selling some of that collection to me. :) Still enjoying iWar. :D

Well, having sold things in the past all I can say is, I've sold some things off. Like when I sold my first Mac PowerMac to be able to buy a Atari TT030. Then I later sold the TT030 which made it possible for me to buy Battlesphere.

Later on I sold my VGA card for my Newton MessagePad and bought Battlesphere Gold.

Money was used to fix up an Atari Portfolio and then later I sold that and bought something else. :)

But have to admit, of the things I have sold, I did later get basically the same things back.

I eventually bought another VGA card for the Newton for a little less than what I sold my last one for.

I missed the fun of having a TT030, and spent like three years (with the help of a friend) getting a junker TT030 up and running. Looking back, my current TT030 is no where as nice as the TT030 I sold.

And I have missed having a Portfolio, though haven't bought one.

From time to time I feel tempted to sell my TT030, but I know if I do I'll miss it again. So I keep it around. :) I keep one of about everything around.

@ Gooch - Yeah 2k could be a stretch, but hey, anything is possible ;)

@ Doc - That's the one thing that's goin through my mind about unloadin my collection, the fact that donw the road, I could get my chances to reclaim and rebuild my Jag Collection - Perhaps a little better - but then again what if ican't and what if i'd have to pay more? - it's a tough decision :)

  16. Personally, I wouldn't do it unless there was absolutely no other way to get money. I have sold Jaguar units in the past, and I kick myself in the ass these days because I'm having to start all over again! Hell, I would,'t even have a CD unit, except that I was able to trade for it. If you do decide to sell the stuff on e-bay, perhaps you should let some of the guys here get the first crack at the stuff. Put a price on the stuff, then if nobody goes for it, post it on e-bay. Just what I would do.

I just might do that - but still pondering the ultimate decision ;)

  17. Id say the best way to do it is sell the rare items individually like the Jag cd and the rare games etc and then bundle the base Jag with the some common games and throw in a couple good ones like T2K and DOOM.  But even some of the common good games will get a decent amount of $.  Also, try to whore your auctions as much as possible on forums.  Let EVERYONE know...lol  That way more interest will be sparked and more bidding wars.

i was thinkin about something like that if i did (separating them) but didnt even cross my mind to whore it around lol - man i need more sleep
