  1. I'm trying to clear out a little bit of space with the GOAT Store stuff, so if you're looking for some good 3DO games (all games are New in shrinkwrapped boxes): Burning Soldier - $2.00 (great for it's day, pretty good still space shooter) Fun 'N' Games - $1.00 (bunch of games for small children) Guardian War - $5.00 (A very interesting RPGish game. Hard to explain, but one of the best 3DO games I think) Wicked 18 - $3.00 (A decent golf game for it's age, set in Hell or something) Contact me ([email protected] or [email protected]) and I'll set everything up with you.
  2. I'm positive that it can be done because my friend Max for a while had a Geni 2 hooked up to a Sega CD 1 to play the Lunar series. It probably wasn't good for either system as it didn't look right (little cockeyed, really) but it did work.
  3. They are interchangable, however the Sega CD 1 looks stupid with a Geni 2. There is actually an extension to plop a Geni 1 on the Sega CD 2 (the GOAT Store just got one in) which makes that combo look better, although still not "good."
  4. The GOAT Store's eBay auctions are starting to close. Best remaining deal is a full copy of Where in Time is Carmen Sandeigo in the box with the encypodia currently at $1.00 and a bunch of 3DO games for a $1.00! If you are interested, get in your bids now! http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?...&sort=3&rows=25
  5. I'm selling this by need to and not want to, but I honestly think that this is the king of all 2D fighters, besting even the entire Dreamcast lineup: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1367955475 For some other imports, I would definitely try out Castlevania X. I loved it until I had to sell it recently (*weep*) For domestic (and cheaper) releases, I would give the following winners a whirl: Darius Gaiden (love this 2D shooter!) Galactic Attack (also love this 2D shooter!) Virtual On (best VO, besting the DC version in my opinion) Sega Rally (best rally racer yet!) World Series Baseball (the original is the best playing baseball game I've ever played) Tempest 2000 (if you don't have it for the Atari Jaguar, get it for the Saturn) If you are interested, we have most of the games that I mentioned at the GOAT Store because I ended up selling us most of my collection to pay for my new car...
  6. Heh, maybe I should tell him about the insanely good deals at the GOAT Store, and see if he'll buy every Atari 2600 game from us so that he can profit by reselling them on eBay for hundreds of dollars! Judging by his response, that would be a nice lesson for him, and a good source of income for us
  7. Hey everyone, I posted this in the Marketplace section, but since I figured that these were the real jewels of the auction I better post it here too. The GOAT Store, LLC is currently running auctions for four of the remaing ten Midwest Classic copies of Mr. Roboto. If you want to snag a copy of this awesome musical hack from Paul Slocum, you might want to do it now before it is too late! By the way, anyone who bought them recently have any opinions on the game?
  8. Hey! I just completed listing about 30 different auctions on eBay for the GOAT Store, LLC (we're trying to clear out a little bit of room!) Among the highlights are: Four of the last Midwest Classic Mr. Roboto copies! NES Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego in box w/ encyclopedia Lynx SFX Lynx PONX Lynx Lexis Jaguar Protector If you are interested, you can check out the auctions here: http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?...serid=goatstore
  9. Watch out or you just might end up in search of all 250ish Dreamcast games made like... um... some of us Here are some games that I think are awesome that you should definitely go out and get (or, for some of them pick them up at the GOAT Store for cheaper: ) Atari Anniversary Edition -- You've got 12 of the best Atari arcade games, and you've got tons of extras in the ways of interviews with Nolan Bushnell and other greats. A real winner! Sega Smash Pack V. 1 -- On this one, you've got 12 classic Sega games including Phantasy Star, Sonic, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage 2 and more. Excellent deal! Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 -- I don't think that I will ever get enough of this game. It is so absolutely astounding both graphically and gameplay wise that... wow. Mr. Driller -- What a fun little arcade game! A complete blast to play (relatively hard to find though) Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness -- I guess I'm into naming most of the updates that I like for this message. This is my favorite of them all. A great addition to the Pac-Man universe, although horribly easy. Gauntlet Legends -- Gauntlet is one of those ageless games, and it is a game that I get together with a bunch of friends and play. Another awesome, awesome game. That's about all that I can think of for now, at least when I'm in an arcady mood. I'll come back when I'm in a fighting or platformer mood later maybe and come up with 20 more
  10. Q*Bert was great on the 2600, great on the Colecovision, good on the NES, great on the SNES... Just as a warning though, Q*Bert for the Dreamcast is one of the Dreamcast's biggest stinkers. You can't see where you are going, and the game just isn't fun. I was hoping for so much more out of that game after having loved all of the other incarnations of it.
  11. That it extremely odd. On top of that, I don't really understand how this guy's information is going to help you out that much anyway? Since when did you need two parts for the connector to work and if you go and spend $6.24 on parts, you are still really only saving 0.76 cents, according to his own $7.00 apiece price quote.
  12. I didn't respond because all of the games that you were looking for were either games that I didn't have, nor could get for get for a decent deal. As far as I know, there are no good RPGs like what you are looking for. Skies is supposed to be one of the best. As for Dreamcast games that I have to trade, if you want to check the GOAT Store's Dreamcast section... that's pretty much it
  13. What types of things are you looking for?
  14. When I sell stuff online as the GOAT Store, I try to make it a point to respond to every feedback that we get. I usually wait to leave feedback just in case the buyer has something goofy that they leave negative feedback about so I can leave them neutral or negative feedback myself. Also, because we tend to have a lot of like auctions selling at the same time, if the buyer does not tell me what his eBay name was, I usually won't sit around trying to figure out just who it was that I'm supposed to be leaving feedback for. Just my two cents...
  15. Hey Gunstar, Want to trade me 4x4 Evo? Pretty please?
  16. Hey, We've got Super Mario Kart at the GOAT Store. I'd be open to trades. If you are interested, email me at [email protected] and we can work something out :-)
  17. How about Planet Ring? I'm positive that wasn't released in the US. I've got a copy of it too :-)
  18. The first Lynx releases, if I recall correctly were Chip's Challenge, Gates of Zendocon, California Games and one other thing that escapes me right now. All of them were made by Epyx, as Epyx made the Lynx hardware. The last real game to be released in my opinion would be the batch of Telegames ones -- Fat Bobby, Raiden and ... ??
  19. Cybermorph was the pack-in, so technically you could call it first. I would count Battlesphere as the last Jaguar game, as Battlesphere was signed for by Atari when Atari was still alive. dan
  20. I don't know why, but apparently everyone is doing this. On an average day for the GOAT Store, I get at least two payments. Often times, it'll be a check or a money order in an envelope with no name, or a parent's name that doesn't match the child that ordered it or whatever. Then, people wonder why it takes a couple days to match them up -- you've got to wait to see just who's is who's. I feel your pain!
  21. Unfortunately, they aren't fair or equal when it comes to forbidden things. My licensed third-party RAM cart was taken down because it worked with import games, however the countless Dreamcast "back-up" disks for all of the 2K2 series of games is just fine... eBay has the problem of any giant corporation -- you don't want to use their services because they aren't a quality operation, but if you don't use their services, you won't get as many people looking at your items or as many items to bid on.
  22. The 32X systems are slowly rising in value. It used to be that you could get a system and five games for $25.00. Now, you're looking at about $35.00. You ended up with most of the common games for the system. The only slightly sought-after titles are After Burner, Knuckles Chaotix and Zaxxon's Motherbase. Having said that, those titles will fetch at most $10.00 apiece. If you'd like to trade for some stuff at the GOAT Store, I'd be willing to work something out with you
  23. Shipping can definitely be a touchy subject. Gary developed a special form that goes to the UPS Web site and we base shipping on the approximate weight of the actual items we will be sending. Since we are sending a lot of packages, we really prefer to go with Priority Mail. The Post Office is nice enough to send us boxes whenever we want them, and then we cover the inside packing materials. If someone wishes for us to send them a package via Parcel Post, we do charge extra because we have to go find a new box, find different tape, etc. Not just is it more expensive for us, but it is more time consuming. If sellers are honest with their rates, I don't have any problem with it. Even if it only costs $1.00 but I was told that it would take $4.00 to ship, I'm okay with that.
  24. My whole issue with the game is that I can't find it other than for the 3DO, which people have been paying between $6 and $15 ish for. I'm guessing the Sega CD version would be just as rare if not rarer (since no one really wants 3DO games) but... ??? Hmmm.
  25. eBay recently changed their policy so that you cannot link to any outside Web sites unless they were for information on the item you were selling. A legal link would be "Click here for more information on Ford" when selling a Ford car. A non-legal link would be "Click here for more information on me!" leading to your Web site. Of course, eBay has to take this idea to the extreme too. I used to link to the GOAT Store's order agreement so that people could read about us, and all of a sudden eBay cancelled all of our auctions because they linked to what they called "unrelated Web sites."
