That's my other auction
-
In one of the GOAT Store packages recently, we received a game called Novastorm. I have heard of this game for the 3DO, but never for the Sega CD and I was quite surprised to actually receive it. I've now been looking on eBay for about a month for more information on it, and there hasn't been a copy sold. Anybody know anything about this game?

Considering how I usually can fix these things without reading how to do it or whatever, I feel kind of goofy asking this but... Both of my machines seem to be having problems suddenly. I have a Bad Dudes cabinent that I got for $5.00. It actually isn't "suddenly" having problems, it is just that I'm finally getting around to fixing it up and now it has me baffled. When I got it, it was supposedly a 'dead' machine. The only thing dead about it was that someone had unhooked the power supply, which had fritzed. I replaced the power supply with another one that worked in the last machine I had it in, and I can now get everything to work with the exception of the monitor. I had the monitor working on my other game, although not perfectly. All the wiring appears to be perfect. Any ideas? My other game suddenly decided to have a strange problem too. It is Ajax, another JAMMA game. Upon powering up, the game acts as normally during attract. As soon as the actual gameplay starts, the game quickly flips through the first two seconds of the start of the first four levels and then resets. Any ideas? I'm out

I don't quite know which topic this would fit best under, so I ended up here in marketplace... While this hasn't been integrated into our Web site very well yet, we are working on making some mailing lists for both news and specials at the GOAT Store. If you're interested in signing up, we'll be offering up some great deals once we get everything working a little bit better. To sign up now, just click below... http://goatstore.com/mail_lists.htm

I think that the GOAT Store has excellent prices and are really nice guys to buy from You can also trade stuff to us if you're interest in that.

Honestly, I always find it really funny when I hear about everyone going to thrift stores. That isn't because of anything against them, but because the thrift stores in the Milwaukee area are so bad that I can't even imagine a thrift store with decent prices. The nearest thrift store here sells their games for the 2600 for $3.00 / apiece, and they've had the same 20 forever. NES games are $5.00 apiece for Super Mario Brothers / Duck Hunt, and $8.00 apiece for anything else. Et cetera down the line. The next closest thrift store I've never seen with 2600 games, but they had some common sports-related Sega CDs selling for $20 apiece last time that I was there.

Thanks for the offer, but I've already got the disk, so I'm just waiting for an area Funcoland to find an extra case for me, really. I've actually got a bunch of the rarist games cases and instructions this way already, so I'm amazed that they all have extra cases from Sega Bass Fishing 2, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, Buzz Lightyear and so on, but Crazy Taxi apparently never shows up...

No, just domestic. I have a few PAL games (Headhunter, Shenmue and Planet Ring) but I'm not really into the whole importing thing. I do want PAL versions of Rez, Shenmue II and Evil Twin. I really don't plan on getting any Japanese games... well, I have already got Ikaruga preordered 1. 18 Wheeler Pro Trucker 2. 4x4 Evolution 3. Aerowings 2: Airstrike 4. Army Men: Sarges Heroes *. Crazy Taxi (just the box and instructions) 5. Ducati World Racing Challenge 6. Dynamite Cop 7. ESPN Track and Field 8. Evolution 2 9. F1 World Grand Prix 10. Gigawing 11. Grinch 12. Hidden and Dangerous 13. King of Fighters Dream Match 99 14. Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 15. Monaco Grand Prix 16. NBA 2k2 17. NBA Hoopz 18. NHL 2K 19. Outrigger 20. Phantasy Star Online Ver. 2.0 21. Project Justice *. Psychic Force 2012 (box and instructions only) 22. Rippin Riders 23. San Francisco Rush 2049 24. Sega Bass Fishing 2 25. Silver 26. Soldier of Fortune 27. Sonic Adventure 2 28. I'm a little more calmed down now, and I found out that eBay *did* give me the auction fees back, however I find it totally stupid that something that I bought on eBay less than two years ago is suddenly "illegal" to own or possess, especially when the Saturn has the cartridge slot for a reason. Oh well.
-
All right, eBay has officially fell to new lows. I purchased all of my Sega Saturn stuff on eBay, including my two RAM carts. eBay decided to cancel one of my auctions just now because the RAM cart, according to them, infringes on Sega's copyrights. I lost $2.20 on that stupid auction, and the RAM cart isn't a non-legit item! ARGH! Anyone know any ways to get your money back if they screw you unneccesarly?
-
My most wanted games now are the 39 that I'm missing to 100% complete my Dreamcast collection...
-
In my opinion, rarity corresponds not to the value of a cartridge, but to the ability the average collector has of finding the game. Alien Vs. Predator is, as we all know, one of the Jaguar's most popular games. There were a lot of copies of this game made, but they are still in high demand. I think that even a 3 for the rarity of this game might be a little high. Remember, rarity guides are not price guides. In my opinion, White Men Can't Jump is a lot rarer than Alien Vs. Predator, but it won't sell for nearly the same amount of cash because it isn't a very good game.

What I am more worried about is eBay using PayPal to offer reduced overall final fees for their auctions, but then charging a premium to people who are not using eBay when using PayPal. The GOAT Store uses PayPal now to accept credit cards because it is the only credit card option that we could really afford. If their rates go up, we will either have to raise our prices on some items or stop using PayPal, either of which is a bad thing... Here's hoping eBay doesn't make PayPal worse...

While I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic or not, I wholeheartedly agree with you on this! The Atari Jaguar has Raiden, which I can't ever get enough of. It has Protector and Protector SE, which are both awesome 2D shooter games. It has Defender 2000, which I love if only for the original Defender mode in it. It has Native if you get Jagfree CD support (included with Protector SE). It really, has some of the best 2D shooters ever, IMHO. Sega Saturn with Darius Gaiden and Radient Silvergun, amongst others would be another good system from that period. While I'll agree with you about the selection, when it comes to 2D shooters (assuming that is what you meant by shooters), the Dreamcast is really the only system with much of anything. The Dreamcast has Bangai-O, GigaWing, GigaWing 2, Gunbird 2, Mars Matrix and the afforementioed Ikaragu (if I spelt it right). Not many other modern systems have that much in the way of 2D shooters. If you are thinking first person shooter, I would have to suggest either the GameCube for the upcoming Metriod Prime or the XBox for Halo. Honestly though, the current batch of systems don't have too many FPS yet, so it may be in your best interest to wait a few months and see what has come out before you get one if that is what you are after.
-
I doubt that there are that many Aircars that actually ended up being released. It came out at the same time as the Telegames releases, but was never carried by any stores because it never had a box. I can't imagine the number of actual cartridges sold to be over 250. Another thing Aircars had working against it is the fact that Mr. Harker decided to $*%# all the CatBox people shortly after the game came out...

Just wanted to alert anyone that is interested to this. I posted a copy of Protector SE on eBay. The reserve is set at $65.00, and Buy It Now is set at $85.00 (I threw in a Jagfest 2K1 t-shirt, so that is why it is more than the Songbird price of the game for BIN). If you are interested, the link is at the bottom. Thanks for looking http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1363984956

Mr. Roboto is Awesome.. The music is flawless.
goatdan replied to Joel D. Park's topic in Atari 2600
It's very, very enjoyable! I used to never play Mr. Robo... er.. Berzerk for the 2600, and now I find myself playing it for long peroids at a time. If anyone else wants a copy, we've got just a few more left -- get them while you can! http://www.goatstore.com/ -
A GameStop would take the system, they probably won't give you too good of a deal on most of the games, unless you have games like Maniac Mansion, the Mega Man series, the Dragon Warrior series and final fantasy, they tend to pay $1.00 or less. While you might want to take the system there, I would suggest selling the games to either another dealer or a collector who pays more. There is a place in Milwaukee that pays $2.00 for any NES games they need. If you don't have any other offers, contact me and I'll see what the GOAT Store can work out for you

Hey everyone, Tuesday night, my Ford Escort was broadsided by some SUV that appartently decided not to stop at at a median. My car was completely destroyed, and I have spent almost the entire time since leaving the hospital on the phone with the insurance company, doctors and other such people. The car has already been declared totalled (not a big surprise, as literally every metal panel had been bent in some way) and I have been ordered to stay off my right knee until July 19 -- IE I can't work until then. Somehow, I need to figure out how I can scrounge together some cash to buy myself a decent car. Unfortunately, I might start looking toward my video game collection. I have not yet decided to part with anything that I am listing, but if you would like to email me offers, I will take them into consideration. I'm only listing the more major parts of my collection for time being... Here goes: Atari Lynx: Championship Rally (with case + instructions, like new) SFX (the original version, not the newer version) Lexis PONX Atari Jaguar: Catbox (like new in box) Alien Vs. Predator pre-release prototype (different graphics, different weapons, more lives, different scores, etc.) Atari Jaguar Test Cartridge (big honking cartridge used by Atari to test Jaguar systems with a computer) Atari Jaguar CD Test CD (a CD that Atari somehow used to test the CD players... I don't know how though) Atari Launches Jaguar CD (musical introduction to the Jaguar CD Promotional "eyes" disk (disk with Jaguar 'eyes' logo for showing off at trade shows, etc.) NES: Top loader w/ two dogbone controllers SNES: Version 2 with box SNES hard-shell case Chrono Trigger Final Fantasy II N64: Bust-A-Move 64 Sega Saturn: ST Key + 4MB RAM (to play import CDs) Marvel Vs. Street Fighter (case and instructions) Castlevania X (case and instructions) House of the Dead (no case or instructions, disk a little rough but I could professionally resurface it) Sega Dreamcast Shenmue (European Version) 3DO: FZ-10 System Lost Eden The Incredible Machine Atari Portfolio Computer: A couple 64 Kilobyte info cards Card drive for an IBM compatible computer Other gaming-related items: Resident Evil Code: Veronica X Music soundtrack Heavy Metal 2000 soundtrack If anything really catches your eye, shoot me an email at [email protected] and I'll get back to you. Again, I have not yet decided to sell any of this, but if you make me an offer now I will consider it first when I find out a little bit more about what I'm in need of for this whole mess. :-/

Ikaruga (Radiant Silvergun 2) Release Date
goatdan replied to Varan's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I don't know... If I had a game that was just about completed, and I was a smaller development house, I would probably still go ahead and complete the game for the system, even if it was a "dead" system, so to speak. There is obviously still some money left there or even the beloved Treasure wouldn't be making a game for it. All that I know is that I've already got my copy preordered, and I can't wait! -
Basically, just as the title says. We have three copies of Mr. Roboto and one of our remaining 3 copies of Warring Worms Wargear up on eBay right now. If you are interested in snagging one of these games, now is the time to! http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?...&sort=3&rows=25

Mr. Roboto question - yes, the hack, not the Styx album
goatdan replied to tiggerthehun's topic in Atari 2600
For those of you interested, I just put up three copies of Mr Roboto including pictures on eBay. The supply is starting to dwindle! http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?...&sort=3&rows=25 Remember -- you can also buy them directly from our Web site at this time... but not for long. If you want a Warring Worms Wargear, one of our last three is currenly up for auction too...
