If you had been Jaguar collecting in 1997, you could get just about anything for insanely cheap compared to today's prices. I have most of my collection from those days. Here is some of the stuff that I got when they were great deals: Catbox - $80 new Defender 2000 - $15 new Jaguar CD - $40 new

Interesting R3K was the name of the game that Team 13 began for Dark Kight Games. After the two companies parted on bad terms in early 1999, the R3K project was dropped. The only pieces of the game that still exist is a computer version that was done in Visual Basic so that the development team could learn what it wanted to do before putting it into a smaller console. I know all this since the GOAT Store is made up of the previous Team 13 members There is no true "prototype" for R3K, although if people are interested perhaps we could put the game on the GOAT Store for people to check out.

I want to once again bring up the issue of the two Jaguar games that are ranked 9 that I don't believe should be ranked as such. The first is Speedster II and the second is Skycoptor. Since these games were never produced and released where a person could purchase them over a counter, I feel that they should be ranked as prototype games, if anything. To draw a comparison, would a N64 collection be complete without a Cruisn' USA game board. The game states that it is running on the Ultra 64 chipset... Anyone agree? Disagree?

Hey everyone, Earlier today, the GOAT Store put up table prices for people attending the event, in case you want to show anything off. There are a limited amount of these tables (there will be smaller plots available on the event day for free!), but if you want to show off anything cool, you might want to get a table right away! They are only $16.00, and include admission to the event (which is $8.00). There are also dealer tables now available. The link for tables is here. Over the next week, we're hoping to have a bunch of news about some of the great things that you can see and do while you're at the event. All that is confirmed so far is that there will be lots of pinball, classic computers and classic video game things to do!

Uhhhh... Well, I've got a guess. I used to play Theme Park all of the time, but ever since Roller Coaster Tycoon came around, I just haven't been as fascinated by Theme Park. If I remember, if you do not have enough security forces, thugs can get into your park and beat up the help. They randomly appear, and you need to make a larger security force to deal with the rowdy kids.

What is even odder is that they raised their prices since yesterday. I decided to sleep on wether I would pick up Q*Bert and Wetrix for a $15 and $10 respectively, and now the games are $22 and $15. Guess I don't need to think about it any more.

It's great! I listen to it once in a while when I'm driving on my hour-long commute to work. I have to admit though that the Defender 2000 soundtrack has it beat in every way

I have to go with Defender 2000, followed very closely by Battlesphere. While I love Tempest 2000, I find myself popping in the soundtrack to Defender 2000 a lot more while driving or doing whatever. Same with Battlesphere.

ROB's aren't horribly rare, but they aren't horribly common either. Basically, the whole issue is that they don't do anything much. They do move around, but not anything exciting. Personally, I have two of them. One of mine has the whole Gyromite setup in functional condition, but I have no clue if ROB himself works (I didn't even know I was getting him in the auction!) I won him in the infancy days of eBay for about $12.00. My other one I picked up when the Nintendo was dieing for $15.00 and he works perfectly, as far as I can tell. Never tried him with a game, even though I have both of them. The coolest feature about ROB is that he looks darn neat. I had my two with me at Jagfest 2K1 last year in the GOAT Store's display, and people always commented about how they were watching them. One person noted that it looked like the "evil empire was taking over... with really cute robots."
