      Nintendo literally doesn't even try at E3... its always just an appetizer for their own event in late June/early July.

       

      Personally, I love the announcements from the small-time companies that can't afford E3

      Subscription-based usage is what these companies have dreamed of for decades. It's only now that the infrastructure exists to make it practical, but we as consumers have been groomed to accept this since the 90s.

      Tons, considering I used to get people wanting a 10% discount if they bought a whopping TWO.

       

      I do think MS should have some sort of ultra-low-cost option, though. I'm needing a new copy of Win7, and I'm not entirely sure how to get it while being "mostly legit"

    I've always wondered why it is that almost every game I've ever played on the NES (aside from Kirby) is ridiculously difficult. I can't think of any other system where almost every well regarded game is crazy hard, but it certainly seems true for the NES.

      I do agree that finishing a game then was an achievement, and to day it's not. I miss that.

      It was a time when finishing a game at all was still a pretty new concept, so a lot of designers borrowed quarter-muncher mechanics from arcade games. This was not necessarily the best move.
