SICKINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I was reading on the AA trivia page and came accross this, brace yourself!! Atari buried 5 million unsold copies of E.T in the New Mexico desert. Honastly, it brought a tear to my eyes!!
Wonder how deep they are? GRAB YOUR SHOVLES BOYS, LETS GO DIGGIN'!!!!
-
My parents made my brother and I save our allowances to get our 2600. Pretty sure we got it in 82. I remember Defender was fairly new, and the guy behind the counter at the elecronics store wnated me to buy Berzerk (it had just released). We bought a 4 switch woody that day.
My best x-mas gift was probably the c-64 we got a few years later. Sadly it was also the day my 2600 started collecting dust.
SHAME ON YOU!! lol

Armor All
Do you really think Im that stupid? Honastly?
-
Alrighty. I'll check that ou tnext time in there.
-
Oh, I went on the AA How To thing here and it says to use rubbing alcohol and q-tips.
-
I want an Atari 10400!

LOL, what does it look like?
-
Well, I know you have to use rubbing alcohol, but at the CVS near me they had 70% Isopropyl and 91% Isopropyl. What one should I get?

-
Well I dont know if Im up to taking the label off. I may but I dont know if I will or not. Its not really that bad, but Im used to it.
-
Yeah, I try to play every day for about a half hour. But some times I just watch TV because I dont feel like pulling out the cable and screwing in that adapter thing that the Atari plugs into. *sigh*
-
Yeah, my birthday is coming up so I gave my Mom a call last night and gave her their phone number and a list of carts. So I think Im taken care of now! My collection (hopefully) will now be around 20-25. lol
Edit: OH BOY MY 100TH POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY! lol
-
Oh, didnt know they had a site. Well Im in MA so I wont be taking a ride out there anytime soon. Maybe my first road trip!!

-
I have it all over my Spider Fighter. Did anyone come up with a way t get rid of it? Here is a pic from AA, but mine looks identical to that one. http://www.atariage.com/common/glossary/gl...actiplaque.html

Seeing all I have are standard carts, I try to stick with them. But I do like the handle carts!

http://www.yellowpages.com/sp/moreinfo/ind...202&q=Atari Check that out. I dont know if its a real Atari repair place or just some place that wanted to use that name for the hell of it. Just thougth I would let you guys know, see what you all thought. -
I noticed on my Yars Revenge and Asteroids and a few others there are little letters and numbers stamped into the end label. What were these for?

-
Ok, listen to AJ, he knows a lot more then me!! AND NEVER EVER USE ARMOR ALL, thats just a joke we all have around here! lol
-
Mine looks like that and no trouble. Did you try giving it a good cleaning?
-
Soak them in Armor-All
LMFAO!!! No dont do this! Yeah, the Yankee Candle Car Jar things work good, pull them all the way out of that little sleve and them put them in a small somewhat seeled place and let them sit! Make sure you get a scent you like or you going to have to do it all over again!

-
Yeah sounds like a good idea, if I have the game I'll do it!!
-
Cool!! Thanks guys!! I will check that stuff out!! See you around!
-
Alright, thanks for the link. I've had my vader for about a month now.
-
I own one of these Vaderes. Its a 4 switch 2600. Its all black! Looks really cool!!! Google it under photos, Atari 2600 vader
-
I would like to know all the general things to know about the Atari 2600. I own a vader so maybe things about that would be cool, but the 2600 in general would be cool. I know this is odd but I want to really start getting into Atari and would like to know all the cool facts!! Thanks in advance for your help!!

Well I didnt know about it and I didnt know there was another post about it. So................. I guess I wont be using this anymore, it just struck me as kind of crazy. But yes , they did make more copies then systems, which was stupid in the first place, so I guess they had no other choice but to dispose of them somehow. Maybe they should have encased then in concrete and pushed them off the western coast.
