I think I may be the only homebrew author with a game that's NOT findable by a search on AtariAge.

Just a short announcement that I have decided to withdraw my game 'Qb' from the marketplace. I have asked AtariAge and Hozer to cease manufacture and sales of the cartridge. Thanks to everyone who has supported the game over the years, through purchases, recommendations and reviews. It's been a fun ride. CHeers A
  5. I bought two copies of QB Special Edition from Andrew and I'm going to part with one. This is the set with the fancy wooden box, and it also comes with a replacement ROM board. Let me know if you are interested.

  7. http://cgi.ebay.com/Qb-Special-Edition-Rar...1QQcmdZViewItem Not my auction and I already have my copy.Pretty cool collectors item with the replacement chip and literature.
  8. i'm sending out the money order in the morning so i should have the game in a week or so! Hope its as fun as i think its gonna be. This will be my first homebrew so i cant wait!
  9. Okay, although Qb SEEMS like it should be a really simple game, it's NOT. And even though I have the deluxe "special edition," it didn't come with a manual, and I can't find instructions for it anywhere. Can someone please explain to me how to play this game? As far as I can tell, you have to match the pattern in the small box in the upper righthand corner. But then it starts blinking, and the pattern changes. It's so freakin' hard to complete the pattern before it changes! Is there some trick I'm missing out on? Does the button do anything? What's the deal with jumping around? Aaaigh!
  10. http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...p;rd=1&rd=1 and more when you click "seller's other auctions". maybe you find something interesting - shipping to the US is no problem and not expensive.
  11. Ive been of the net/boards for a while because of an argument with my ISP and just got back on-line. Ive checked the QB status page and there doesnt seem to have been an update/shipment since 1st March. The last I heard before I fell out with my ISP was that there was a recall because of a bug in the program and new boards were being ordered. Whats the status of the outstanding orders? When will shipping resume? Adam

  16. Bit of an odd request. Does anyone have the special edition Qb CD who could post me a copy of the source code from that CD? or, if anyone can find the source to version 215...? I have it archived somewhere, but after a move I can't find anything, and its' been several generations of computers since I had it handy. Thanks...?
  17. Sorry for the duplicate post - I also put it into the Homebrew forum but thought more might read it here. Is there anyplace to obtain a copy of the homebrew game "Qb"??? The link to the programers website only listed Atariage as a source of the cartridges and the store does not show any? Thanks, Steve
  18. I don't know what the value of Atari homebrews is these days, so I can't honestly put a price on it. If Intellivision homebrew prices are any indicator, then this game is worth approximately $1.3 billion. 8*) Seriously tho', I have an original PhillyClassic edition of Qb, cart number 4. I was an organizer of PhillyClassic back in the day, alongside David Newman, Jeff Folejewski, and Marc Pallante, so I managed to get a low number of the production run. It's not mint, but it's in really nice shape. The homebrew labels back in the day weren't the high quality reproductions they are today. There is a small crease in the bottom of the label from where it folded up at one point in time. I'm going back to college in the fall of 2011 and I'm selling some stuff from my collections to raise funds to pay for miscellaneous expenses. My camera battery's dead so I've attached a crappy cell phone photo of the cart. Entertaining offers, just shoot me a message here or e-mail me at [email protected] Thanks!
  19. Following in the footsteps of last year's 2003 Holiday GreetingCart, we are proud to announce the 2004 Holiday Qb Cart, a collaboration between AtariAge, Andrew Davie, and Dave Exton. This new version of Qb includes updated graphics sporting a holiday theme, a new label designed by Dave Exton (who also created the Qb label gracing older copies of the game, as well as last year's Holiday GreetingCart label), and a Qb Holiday Cart manual. Each cartridge is individually numbered, and there are only two ways of obtaining one. The first is to place an order of $50 or more in the AtariAge Store. The second is to win one of ten cartridges we're giving away in the Holiday Qb Cart Contest. Since Qb is no longer being sold in cartridge form, the 2004 Holiday Qb Cart may be your last opportunity to own a new copy of this game! You can learn more about entering the contest here, and obtaining one through the AtariAge Store here. January 20, 2005 - Winners Selected! Read for Complete Details!

  25. /features/Qb/index.htmlAtariAge is proud to announce a label contest for Andrew Davie's upcoming Qb Special Edition. Originally written for the Atari 800 back in 1984, Andrew ported Qb to the Atari 2600 in 2001, selling a small batch of 50 games at the 2001 PhillyClassic. The winner of this label contest will receive a Qb Special Edition, of which only 100 will be made. The Special Edition will be encased in a wooden box with rare Tasmanian wood squares, a CD including the source code, a comprehensive manual detailing the history of the game, and a serialized Qb cartridge adorned with the winning label. For more details about the Qb Special Edition, as well as all the information needed in order to enter the contest, please visit the Qb Label Contest Page.
