  1. That was the THIRD thread like that. Tommy couldn't handle anyone having an opinion that wasn't shoved down your throat by him. Also @SegaSnatcherwas really a head of the game. It was like he knew and no one wanted to listen!!! Even I was going back and forth with SegaSnatcher who was the first to be banned and create his own thread as directed by Tommy who took issue with it 🤣. I at least didn't seem to have my head up Tommy's butt as many others did. SegaSnatcher would have to confirm that though lol. We are BAD ACTORS @SegaSnatcher!!!!!!! If we are bad actors for having opinions, what does that make those who lied, took millions of dollars under false promises, and those who attacked those of us who have been shown to be correct in our concerns. 🤡🤡 Geeze that was from February 2020. The same month they passed up getting parts sourced and setting up a manufacturing agreement. 🤣
  2. @SegaSnatcher was pretty early to question things. I don't remember if it was him, but I'm pretty sure someone asked how experience with bleeps and bloops made him qualified to know jack about hardware. DON'T UNDERESTIMATE HIM! There were a chunk of people who at the end of 2019 saw red flags and predicted a delay. I think most of us gave them too much credit for too long. The project was dead in 2019. Games came to a halt amd hardware wasn't finished as stated. Them going into a bigger office was because they were either dumb, or needed to bleed money. Even of the excuse was to attract a buyer, theove was dumb. They needed to drastically drop their spending a refocus. They didn't. I mean can anyone really say what any of the employees did? We saw little to no progress and beer drinking on the job. The Utah office looked as though it was only inhabited for that one tour. Not a lie you just can't seem to grasp a simple concept. Even if you like a celeb they aren't a dieity, nor better than you. They might be better than you in one aspect but that does not make them a better person. Is that really that hard to grasp? That or you really need to work on your self esteem if you think any remotely famous person no matter how big or small is better than you. Have a little more respect for yourself. Sheesh. That's how the wife ended up becoming my wife. Tricked her into signing her name on a document. Hey sign this, thanks hope you like the last name Beefy. Sucker!
  3. The comparison to Tommy comes from stupid little lies that really don't mean anything. Then on top to ask NSG to take videos down like NSG could be the reason the project to get canned isn't accurate and also the type of thing Tallarico would do. As well as trying to manipulate YTers to do what he wanted. Also not wanting someone like SegaSnatcher to not talk about it is kind of Tallarico-like too when I think about it. Let me help with an example. Here is what Tommy showed when talking about Amico for the first time. Here's him talking about it later. price_focus_groups_testing_sixth_seventh_game.mp4 Which funnily enough the price he said there isn't accurate either! 🤣 But hey no announcement of price right!? Which is basically the same as saying, "Hey I didn't announce we are making a console! BUT we are working on this FPGA console that would be like an Intv 3!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 If the intent was not to make an announcement then why was it recorded and broadcast to YT for anyone to see? There were some brags in there to about backroom knowledge of things going on. If this was to just share information with friends then setting up a camera for everyone to see was a terrible choice. As mentioned before plenty of things have announcements without any real work being done or money being asked for. That's sounds like a him problem not me, nor NSG etc problem. Then saying he's under an NDA now, yet somehow thought talking about it publicly like that was a great idea is pretty funny too. I've also been pretty generous in assuming he was given bad information. Which if he botched good information getting it wrong, that is an entirely different subject which still falls into a him problem. Lie is a lie pretty simple. To deny making an announcement when the point of the video was to share the projects is laughable. You missed the nuances of the Bugs gif obviously. Only one of us talked about punching people in the face, and I'm a stinker as Bugs would say. Beyond not making an announcement that he shouldn't have, he would have saved him a little grief to eat crow and not play the victim. I was thinking this would be forgotten within a week, but by all means keep acting like things weren't said. That will only give people something to hold onto, and continue to make fun of. Heck here I am giving more examples falling into the realm of how some of this was similar to Tallarico. When it could have been a one and done comment. 🤷‍♀️ I would also encourage him not to tell people to private their videos and stuff. No need to Streisand Effect it. I'd rather commiserate how what he said killed the Flashback like project but here we are. Guess I just have to hope that the announced-not-announced FPGA makes it. Which I don't know how I know about that since it totally wasn't announced. 🤪
  4. Perhaps SegaSnatcher was thinking that video settings and such are saved to the SD card? That's what I thought he was getting at and if you're able to successfully save your settings, you know the SD slot is operable. But I see no sign of a system settings file on my Mega Sg's SD card. Must be stored internally. Edit: What happens if you insert a blank FAT32 card into the system? I would think it would automatically generate some empty folders like the BIOS folder.
  5. What games are you playing? I know the lag is there, but nothing gamebreaking. But I can also handle playing on my RPi. I haven't tried any fighting games which is where I would probably notice it the most. And almost every game they showed had lag. I think more games had lag than didn't. Remember when he promised on his dead sisters grave there was no lag? Weird play considering the videos they were showing were showing lag that was clearly visible. I think it's the expectation to price sliding scale. For the price the AtGames items I have met my expectations. Story on the street is they went to Microsoft and they laughed them out of the room when asked if they wanted to purchase them. I think someone else offered to give them not quite $2 million, but had no interest in hardware amd only the IPs. Each day @Tommy Tallarico ran his mouth was another day their value dropped. Hey @SegaSnatcher look at this gem! So how does it feel to be proven wrong time and time again you untalented jealous gatekeeping! Hey @Tommy Tallarico how about you release a console? That would be something for you to be able to prove SegaSnatcher wrong! Wouldn't that be something?
  6. I read that exchange back when I first saw the saved archive of the thread. Tommy's reaction to SegaSnatcher's posts were completely ridiculous. The fact that jaybird3rd actually banned SegaSnatcher from the thread because Tommy threw a tantrum was even more ridiculous. The way Tommy said, "...or I'll have you removed" indicates that he knew that certain moderator actions could be done at his request. Interesting...
  7. I'm wondering if another core somehow was at fault. For two days I was encountering strange things in OpenFPGA, but only after trying the Amiga core (I can't seem to get any games to load). I didn't try last night and was able to spend an hour without any glitches across various cores, before inserting a GBA cartridge and playing a physical game for a while. While I've been using RetroDriven's updater, I think what SegaSnatcher said is probably the course of action I need. Reformat and start from a fresh slate with the latest updater from RetroDriven (Since even if it is the Amiga core, it shouldn't be creating lingering issues for other cores afterwards). Then if it reoccurs again, I'll try a different card. I suspect the Pocket itself is fine (and I sure as heck hope it is).
  8. He knew they were effed. That's why he had to do the Switch is EVIL crap. He knew his console price was going to balloon up and be the same basic price as Switch. Astrosmash and Farkle are not the disrutors. He did that campaign to strike a chord with those people who have been scared to actually play modern games or consoles. I don't care if you think there are too many buttons on a modern controller. It is still less than the amount of buttons on an Intv controller. The people who ate it up don't know anything about gaming. There's a great website that has a big list of games that appear to be of Amico quality. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1TjnwNxL_y1BH4TxPOKbpNSIjde8F363nXZWBmIMRoUQ/htmlview#gid=0 https://amicogames.com/resources It isn't rocket science. At best Amico could have been a niche console, but they cut themselves off at the knees by going to $200+. At that point it wasn't a cheaper alternative for families. The people who said it was is the same group of people who will buyna cardboard box for a game at the price of $30 extra dollars. The $200+ is what caused my wife to encourage me to get a Switch instead. It was almost like I was the only one here at AA that cared about it as a family console and didn't care much about the Intellivision side. Going along with @SegaSnatcher's sentiment that is what caused @jaybird3rd to agree with a sock puppet, claiming that my wife's thoughts were made up to troll. Funny how it has been shown that Tommy was the biggest troll on AA. What did people see in Tommy? I mean in short bursts I could see not noticing the red flags, but he threw them up here and elsewhere for years. Deluded is more like it. Anyone who believed it are gullible and I have a bridge to sell them.
  9. We were led to believe it wasn't a unilateral decision from Jay, but a panel of moderators who agreed on what was to be done. Clearly they were afraid of chasing away the Amico Man, even as he exploited their good will. I think it would have been better for everyone if Tallarico and his ideas were forced to stand on their own, without help from an overly kind host. It's also clear that AtariAge doesn't seem to want to own their part in this. Maybe the SEC came along and advised them to stop doing marketing for a suspected scam? I know I got a little silly in the Atari VCS thread, because their pre-release marketing was hilariously inept, but I would have toned it down or taken it outside if I were ever asked to do so. @SegaSnatcher were you kicked out of the Tommy thread(s)?
  10. A lot of people were randomly banned from that thread. And I do mean randomly banned. Speaking of where is PLEASE LEAVE @godslabrat ? Who was banned in a similar waynas SegaSnatcher. I want to know how the ruse counter is going.
  11. Yeah making bleeps and bloops does not make one qualified to make hardware. Nor does burning mp3s to a CD. Man he sure got mad when @SegaSnatcher called him a music guy. Poor little guy just wanted to be a big boy. Tommy loved Willy Wonka but never realized he was the equivalent to Grandpa Joe in that movie. They were going to go the KS route to ask people to pay to make and ship their consoles. Then it was RetroBro who told them that would be a bad idea. So they went with StartEngine and showed all of us through those SEC docs how they lied about the status of how they were. So RetroBro gave them some bad advice and they tool it. That led them to exposing those SEC docs that they wouldn't have had to for KS. Hence why they needed a secret meeting to tell everyone how to spin the bad financial news! Speaking of those SEC docs... for a company that "Hasn't started marketing yet," where do you think that $200,000+ dollars in marketing was spent? Maybe Tommy charged the company by the post on AtariAge here? That would break down to roughly $27.50 per post. It is probably more likely that money went to the company astroturfers that were here at AA and elsewhere on the internet. Yet another lie from the company to add to the list. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1yoy8wozJm8_j6_6sXpcf5HLoXe3jNWceKlQyaQ918Io/htmlview#gid=0
  12. Speaking of logical. Look who thinks they threw out logic about Amico! 4 or 5...hmmmm.... those 5 people seem hard at work. 🤣🤣🤣 Hey @SegaSnatcher you so stupid! Did you ever get that duct tape off your mouth? This was an alright video.
  13. Early on Tommy did say it would come with all the retro games included. Guido didn't provide any facts. It is wishful thinking. Their actions don't match their words which has been a continual issue for the company. They can say it isn't a retro console, but that is how they marketed it and even mentioned marketing it to retro in their pitch deck. Also it isn't a mischaracterization of you. I asked you point blank if you approve of people/your friends exploiting my child's pictures. You didn't say no. So you approve of it. You get upset at people making fun of a console but approve of exploiting pictures of kids to get people to not make fun of a console. That means you approve of child exploitation. Simple as that. Your inability to say you disapprove of children's pictures being used against someone is why you have been labeled that. That's your own fault. I would still like to see it come out, but it's very unlikely. Without it coming out you will now have people saying how it would have beat the Switch, Xbox, etc if only not for Covid or some other excuse. They will ignore that other products came out, and will ignore that it wasn't a good enough idea to be saved by an investor. Now we will see, "Amico would have outsold the Switch if it had released" threads. That guy made it about himself. He said he knew better than everyone. He was right when he said he should have hired @SegaSnatcher. The only thing he proved he knew how to do was run his mouth as much as he ran his product into the dirt.
  14. It’s hard to tell if he was just trying to be funny, but the guy would type FIRST! in the comments of all their promo videos, hours before they were made public. I think I might have been FIRST! along with @SegaSnatcher in receiving forum moderator smack down for disrespecting that “veritable industry icon.” 🤢🤮
  15. This earlier statement of mine agrees with SegaSnatcher. And a lot of people treasure these consoles and it would be like a knife to the heart for many of us to hear of an Intellivision being tossed in the trash. Glad you will do something else with it now.
  16. why? RetroTink-5x already has an Svideo input at the back, would you like a second one? The adapter is for a second composite input via the RGB connector, Scart added SVideo support in the late 80s and I doubt many sets were compatible, at any rate as @SegaSnatcher found out the Svideo Y signal (luma) is connected to component and the C (chroma) according to wikipedia pinout should be on the Blue (or is it Red? I get confused between up and down https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SCART for pass-thru), hence if you only use Y you get BW signal (given Y is literally composite without chroma). Given the other composite is shared with YPbPr it kind of make sense to have one available on the Scart side. I am sure Mike could extend support to SVideo on that side from that adapter if he wanted to (already the choice between RGB and Comp-over-RGB is via menu, no fancy detection so adding SVideo could be relatively straightforward).
  17. I know that. I mean that I wouldn't take a jailbreak from a non-credible source. I've jailbroken a handful of machines and seen various jailbreaks. I only speak for myself (as stated) but I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my hobbies, more than most who claim they are. I have to have things pristine. To me, if something in my hobby is not pristine, it's garbage. That may seem unfair but as I've stated, that's just to me. I do not say that as a public label. While some aspects of Mister were good, others did not impress me (personally). I'm not going to get into the specifics as it ends up being a pointless back/forth like when you get some Pi fan who insists that his Pi has 0 lag, is a 1:1 recreation, reference quality, etc. After a certain point, you know they're just rationalizing and not worth continuing the conversation. I do not mean any disrespect. I own a bunch of original carts and accessories, so it only makes sense. But I get what you're saying. Yes I do. And we can agree to disagree. This is pretty much exactly what I was telling SegaSnatcher. Reminds me of the Super NT vs Mister debate on Twitter. You have a handful of people saying Mister is shit and a handful saying Super NT is shit. We all have our opinions on the matter and preferences.
  18. This is probably how I see this "hybrid/ataristeam machine". I have some feelings about this: - As a computer/tech enthusiast, this thing seems a bit underwhelming. Hardware looks like 2017-2018 more or less and the price tag is somewhat high for what can give. - As "brand collector/enthusiast" is a pretty and collectable thing. Aesthetically is beautiful ("wooden grain" or nothing for me). Also, if you like to mod things, or the old-school computer world (like the "Spectrum vs Amstrad" era), this is quite similar: home microcomputers for enthusiast easy enough to use and mod. In a certain way and saving some distances, it reminds me a bit of the ZX Spectrum Next: a device for playing, programming for hobby, modding, expanding etc...just like in the old days, but with modern hardware and a similar idiosyncrasy/ideas behind it. Not something for everybody, but for a "cult following". I can understand it existence, but unfortunately, it took too much to get finally released. Maybe if they had done it without delays, hardware would have been better, or at least something more coherent to their conception time. If VCS was conceived and made on 2019/2020 would have got better specs. I think that being conceived in 2017 and the delays made this hardware not exactly obsolete, but behind other offerings. As SegaSnatcher said, as an emulation machine can be quite nice, specially if Dolphin runs ok, albeit even my 2011 Elitebook i7 emulates GC fairly well at 60fps most games. AFAIK, emulating PS2 is quite hard yet, even harder than Saturn (correct me if I'm wrong, but Emotion Engine seems to be problematic to emulate yet because it's a Superscalar RISC core, and needs 2 cycles instead of 1, needing a quite powerful machine). If anyone can test PS2 emulation in the VCS would be nice. A pity that they don't sell the external case, I would use it for my deeds
  19. Hey SegaSnatcher, In my books, the MiSTer Neo Geo core looks accurate to me. Although I haven't tried it myself. But friends and YouTubers that I follow say it has it's quirks to it. But overall it's worth it. Anthony..
  20. OK guys - you disagree at some level... SegaSnatcher wanted more - fine - his opinion ("wish it had more - hope the project is funded" - my words) TPR points out what the system is ( "don't complain about what is 'missing' - lets get this funded" - again my words) Either way - this is a FIRST step and mistakes may happen. I give high praises to CollectorVision (and all involved) in making this effort to keep this system alive. I've backed the project - I thank SegaSnatcher for pointing out what he thinks are flaws - I thank TPR for giving an 'opposing' view. Lets move forward and get this thing done. Jeff31
  21. Does anyone have experience with this s-video adapter? https://www.antoniovillena.es/store/product/vga-composite-s-video-adapter/ The only CRT I have has composite and s-video, so I was curious if this works well enough to bother buying. @SegaSnatcher you're usually on top of these things.
  22. SegaSnatcher, You've made some great points, but really, until this actually comes out, we've only got their marketing to go on. We won't really know until some independent reviewers have a whack at this thing. And IMO, you're not trolling here, I think you're really enthusiastic about the Pocket and your posts have been fine to read by me!
  23. @SegaSnatcher I got a new Sandisk SD card today, and it didn't change anything. I ran the update script, tried to configure a controller, and it still doesn't work. Actually, now it's worse since my PS4 controller now no longer works. Still having problems with audio, as well.
  24. Has anyone ever fired up Desert Strike for the Sega Master System on their Mega Sg? I'm having an issue with multiple roms of it with the latest jailbreak software. When I hit the start/pause button to bring up my status screen and map, the game locks up and makes an unpleasant static noise. If I press it almost immediately after lifting off the destroyer's helicopter deck it will work and bring me to that screen. But if more than 4 or 5 seconds have passed, it doesn't work. I don't have the European cartridge to check with, but I have tried changing the region to Europe, loading up various PAL bios files, and forcing 3 button mode with no success. And you were right about my Colecovision Choplifter issue, SegaSnatcher. An alternate rom is working just fine for me now (I was under the impression these annual 'No Intro' sets had the bad dumps weeded out of them, but apparently some still exist). So thanks for the help there.
  25. @segasnatcher: Games with special mappers (like MSX to Master System korean conversions) are known not to work. VDP Game(s) dont work either. There may be other corner cases of carts with special components in them. These will not work from the SD using the JB. Other than that, good dumps (thats accounted for in the github reports: people report the file name, checksum, etc) HAVE to work same as real carts do. There is no logical reason its not like that. Or well, explain me the reason. Anyway, Bubble Bobble and Rastan are good dumps. And you will see they are fixed in the end, according to latest Kevtris comments.
