Since GOTY 2016 using the previous method mysteriously hasn't started yet, and a few people have been pestering me about it, time to try something different. While still not ideal (as determined by someone that does Survey Analysis for a living) using Survey Monkey will be an improvement over the built-in Poll feature of AtariAge. A custom written survey engine that leverages the internal member database would be the only way to properly do it, but who has time for creating that In the spirit of fun, let's try this method for surveying Game of the Year 2016: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QKVKRYV The Survey is now open, it will close no sooner than February 18th, 2017 and no later than February 28th, 2017, I will PM Albert the actual time I've picked to close the voting.

Hello and welcome, I always thought the idea of a real life Atari gaming event was awesome. This system has quick, energetic games that get the blood flowing which is perfect for a social gathering. It's a bummer that this event is only one weekend, in one state. (Cali) And I'm not able to attend those meetups. However, I thought It would be fun to host an Atari Party of my own every week on my Twich Channel: AtariParty I've got around 150 games in my collection, and a supercharger to load games from my pc, so there will be lots of options. Game will be played on an ACTUAL CONSOLE Voting for the next game would be fun, too. I was wondering if this sounds like a good idea to anybody. I will be starting TOMORROW, Tuesday night around 6PM Central Time, and hopefully stream every other Tuesday, too! Hope to see some of you over at twitch.tv/atariparty -blade

Hello guys (m/f) The NOMAM 2016 will be held from Friday April 1st at noon until Sunday the 3th around 15:00 o'clock. The meeting will be held at the same location as the last three years. You'll find all the information you need for this years NOMAM on my meetings page. (Scroll up when you're on the page for some pictures of previous editions) Due to the fact that the 1st of april is my Dad's birthday, I myself will not be attending this year. Sincerely Mathy PS You don't have to tell us "NOMAM" makes you think or "NO MA'AM". We've heard it before. Women are more than welcome. PPS the link won't work until later this evening.

Here's an xmas morning Jaguar release, featuring some French realtime 3D fun! It's a quick invitation to Sommarhack 2016 in Sweden 8-10 July. If you download the binary (4mb ROM), be aware best results will be had on hardware. It should be OK on PAL or NTSC machines and will run at 50 or 60fps accordingly, but emulation might lead to iffy audio syncing, which isn't ideal in such a prod. Here's the video for the lazy xmas lamahs :0) Merry xmas, Jaguar fans. wiggle.zip

Well since 2015 is 3 weeks away from being in the books and a thing of the past. What are your goals for collecting or purchasing in 2016? As for me I am actually pretty good game and console wise. As I have over 30 systems. And like to add a couple more systems in my collection that year and narrowing down my wish list this is the what I do not want and what I want to purchase. Here is a list of the consoles. Do not want: Magnavox Odyssey/Odyssey pong systems: Respect and admire the history of it and it is a pioneer in video games. Too primative and the price is pretty steep to find one. Also it is mostly board games to play on your television. As for the variety of pong systems for the 100, 200, 300, etc. Not interested. RCA Studio 2: Uhhhhhhhh the beeping noises are irritating and sounds like a chicken masturbating. Astrocade: Awesome units and an impressive system for it's time. Expensive and hard to find one and the reliability issues as it is prone to overheating. Arcadia 2001: Weak library and too short of a production run as most games are clones of other systems. Jaguar: Don't even get me started.... 3DO: Neat system. Cons are the intermittent disc read problems from the laser lens from what I have heard and most of the library looks weak. And the later releases were also released for the Playstation. PS4/XBox One: Too many software updates and don't like the library. Maybe I will reconsider if the price drops more and if the library looks good for my taste. Here are the systems that I am leaning on wanting to get. Channel F: Another great pioneer in the video game market and I was fascinated with the pilot grip controllers. Most of the games are very primative and a good chunk are two player titles. About 32 or so games were released for it. My setback is that these systems run for quite a good chunk of money, problematic pinpoints as they overheat as well and also the controllers will fall apart from what I heard. Vectrex: I always admired these systems and love the game library for it. The controller looks amazing and have heard numerous great things about them. The price for it is a little high but not insane. I've heard they run well and hardly fall apart but some screen abnormalities. What do you reccommend? Other than that what are your collecting goals and stuff you like to add in your game room?
