  1. Sorry, unlike last year I was unable to finish this game on Christmas Eve, however I decided to use Snow Flakes to celebrate New Years Instead. For Fans of the Original Snow Flakes (2017) you'll be happy to know this version of the game is vastly superior in every way. The background isn't as empty and includes an Igloo The Paddle from before is now replaced with a Sled The Paddle controller is now supported (and recommended) Up to Two snow flakes at a time 5 Phases with each one becoming more difficult From Day to Night. The sky becomes darker the more phases you conquer Highscore is Saved Here's how to Play: Fire Button to Start Reset to go back to Menu Color Switch to Change Controls (Color = Joystick and B/W = Paddle) Left Difficulty Switch to change the size of your Sled Right Difficulty Switch to change how many flakes appear at a time Pro Tip: Phases change depending on time, not how many snow flakes you catch. 1st Phase is 30 seconds, and then the next one increases by another 30 seconds, so Phase 2 is 60 seconds, and the 3rd is 90 etc... Hope you enjoy, and of course have a great New Year Edit: I tried to upload this before 2019, however I was in such a rush I forgot to add the .bin file Snow_Flakes_2018.bas.bin

Right now this is probably the newest game I own.
  3. I just tried Tempest 4000 for the Xbox One, and I think the controls are awful, but only on "round" levels. Sometimes I press left to go right when stopped. Also I thought a more appropriate control is to use the analog stick as a radial control. Just roll the left stick to indicate the position along the orbit where you are, not left to go anticlockwise, right to go clockwise. You got analog controls. Why not use them? For the modern systems, why isn’t there a 2600-> PS4 and a 2600->X1. They obviously make them for PC. You need them for Paddles, Trackballs, Spinners, Indy 500 controller, and Keypad (maybe, but a USB numeric would work too). Since Nintendo makes Labo kits, why not Atari make a plastic Labo-like Joycon attachment. First Paddle games already work with Switch Wheel. If you keep both hands on the wheel, there is a natural limit to how far clockwise and anticlockwise you can rotate it. Second for Trackball games, a Joycon could be placed in a hamster ball for trackball games, and have radio controller manaul button pressers for the up to 6 buttons on the Single Joycon. Third, a similar setup, except with a cylinder for Major Havok. Fourth, a joycon could be put in a similar device with a wheel that you spin. Finally, for the light gun games, a visible light "camera gun" could be used to literally shoot the targets, instead of using a cursor that centers automatically. Do other people agree with me, that Atari controls on modern systems are not well thought out with the default controllers? The analog stick does like to center, and I think that hurts most Atari analog games, especially paddle games.

  7. Well, my garage sale partner has finally made the conscious decision to part with this wonderful piece of Atari history - the elusive CX-2000, otherwise known as "VAL". This unit not been cleaned, disassembled, and/or modified in any shape or form. Since its recovery, it's been stored securely in a temperature controlled environment. In fact, the only thing that has been done to it, was to test its functionality just yesterday. Low and behold, IT WORKS!!! As for asking price, he wanted to start with $18K OBO. Yes, I know it's not chump change (to most people anyways), but this is for a functioning piece of tech gaming history - 1 in maybe 10 worldwide to be in existence. And you can actually play with it!!! Due to the nature of this item, only serious buyers are welcome. The transaction will only be done in person at a bank - whether it be in cash, cashier's check or wire and full inspection of the unit, including functionality can be arranged prior to the official exchange. ********* Edit: Let's go with $11K OBO. I know it's not as reduced as some believe it's worth and that's fine. As mentioned in the thread below, ALL SERIOUS OFFERS ARE WELCOME. Looking to broker for my partner a win-win transaction that leaves everyone happy. I promise it will be an efficient, professional, and safe process for all parties involved. Here is the original post I made not even a month ago in order to discover more about it: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/285249-atari-cx-2000-val-prototype-information/

It's funny how the Atari 8-Bit is both the smallest and largest, how greedy.
