I just wanted to start an owner and appreciation thread for Commodore and Amiga Computers, so go ahead and show off your commodores! Any kind of Commodore is welcome here, c64, 128, SX-64, CBM machines,VIC-20 PET 2001, etc. even though its technically not a computer, I'll accept pics of the Commodore 64GS and Amiga CD32 Game consoles as well! Ill Start : My rarest machine: SX 64! My VIC- 20 and My C64C and the 1541 Floppy Drive. And last, but not least, the Monitor! I also have a Datassette drive and 2 printers, Mp-802 and Mp-803 , but no pics yet Anyways, t there is my stuff, what about you?

I have one Commodore 1541 drive that I picked up a few months ago that I just don't have the space to store and not likely to get any use out of in the near future. (much to my chagrin, lol) They have all been tested for power and power on, but unfortunately I cannot test on a C64 that they actually will read/write disks- so caveat emptor there. I'm asking $20 shipped in the CUSA for each drive, or if you want all four $70- I will try my best to find a strong box and pack them as well as I can. Thanks in advance! Nathan updated: the one with the Alps mechanism is sold, two of the others are sold.

Hi Im trying to fix this Commodore 64 but so far no success. When I power it up I get a line on screen (look at picture), after about 3 minutes the chips are slowly getting worm except for the PLA,SID and Kernal they get hot but just enough so that they can still be touched, i probed with my scope pins 1 and 39 on cpu and the clock seems fine ,how do I proceed from here I am suspecting the PLA but dont have another Commodore to test it I heard that I could test the chips using a arduino but probably would need a code for that.

Hi folks, my first post on this venerable forum. My teenage self from ~3 decades ago would probably be dismayed by knowing I've joined something with "Atari" in its name - I was a die hard ZX Spectrum/Commodore fan - but hey, times, they're a-changin' Anyway, I was wondering if anybody else here has experience with using CRT TVs for emulated micros. I'm using mostly libretro versions of assorted emus (Retropie on RPi 3B+) and it's a bit puzzling getting the display right - I'm confined to composite (I also do have an RGB mod but no compatible TV at the moment), and also to add to the problem, it's a NTSC set. I'm not 100% sure what are correct resolutions to use in the configs. I'm aiming for 1:1 pixels and artifact-free display - so far using these... Atari 800 - 640x480- native libretro setting: this looks pretty good actually Amstrad: 768x544 - it works fairly well despite being bigger than RPi 720x480 output, the border is sacrificed C64: lr-vice same as Amstrad: 768x544. Seems ok. ZX Spectrum: 640x480: this resolution kicks in when I disable border (to get rid of heavy NTSC artifacting) While these look reasonably good, they do not really match the resolutions from real machines I read about, eg C64 displaying 402x292 (or 320x200 with no border) http://codebase64.org/doku.php?id=base:visible_area Could this be improved somehow? Or are these really real resolutions? Is there any sort of way to display these without problems on NTSC as well? Games are either too fast in NTSC or jerky in PAL, plus on some micros the colours are out of whack. Even though some of the emus have option for NTSC machines.

This fun hack of Fast Eddie was made possible by Hack-O-Matic 3. The Woolies are at it again stealing Bubsy's stuff and this time they stole EVERYTHING and stored it on the planet Kaboodle!!! Bubsy will need to JUMP OVER the Woolies to get it all back. In the game you'll see objects Bubsy needs to collect on based on items he collected in... Bubsy: Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind. Bubsy 2 Bubsy Fractured Furry Tales Bubsy 3D Bubsy 3D: Bubsy Visits the James Turrell Respective And even the newest which came out recently that I'm enjoying... Bubsy: Woolies Strike Back. I started working on a hack of this for the Vic 20. Extremely rough and the animations for that worked a bit differently than they did the 2600/5200/800 versions. Was discouraged with it for a bit, but then I read this from a Vic 20 gamer... From TheTick1: "I played Fast Eddie on my Vic20 back in the early 80's. I may have to mess with the builtin ML monitor on VICE and work on a similar Bubsy for my good 'ole Vic20. Would be awesome to see Bubsy running on my early 80's Vic20 hardware." Figured that was enough reason to get something going for people to try out. And as much as I love the Atari 2600 version of the hack I had to remember that I didn't have the colors changed on the early revision either. So there is some touching up to do, the colors, the order of the prizes, some of the character spirits. And if someone wants to take a crack at the color changes, drop me a PM and I'll tell you where I believe the color options are based on the other Fast Eddie's I've hacked. Here is the Video gameplay: And here is the rom: Bubsy-V20-R1.crt.zip
