Vectrex Homebrew Permission and Programs wanted for the NEW "Ultimate Vectrex Multicart" ! HELP!!! Arcade Jason Kopp and Ralf Kornmann are working on a new multicart to replace the existing Super Vectrex Multicart (SVM) ! They are asking for your permission to permission to add your homebrew games and software to their new "Ultimate Vectrex Multicart" (UVM). For version programs are preferred. But if you would like to create a version only for distribution on the Ultimate Vectrex Multicart they would be welcome too. All types of home brew software is welcome. Games. Educational. Demos. Songs. Utilities. Diagnostic and Test. I am sure the team of Jason and Ralf will once again over-deliver and under-price their new "Ultimate Vectrex Multicart" (UVM)! Even if you have already given Jason and Ralf previous permission to include your Vectrex program into their current Super Vectrex Multicart, Jason would like to touch base with you again to renew the permission for the new "Ultimate Vectrex Multicart". Please submit your Vectrex programs and permissions to Jason Kopp's email address: koppjason83@yahoo.com, with the subject "Vectrex Program Permission Grant for Ultimate Vectrex Multicart" Gmail Message response: Here is email reponse link for use with Gmail koppjason83@yahoo.com, Subject: Vectrex Program Permission Grant for Ultimate Vectrex Multicart Alternatively, you can reach out to Jason Kopp via his Facebook account @jason.kopp.923 (https://www.facebook.com/jason.kopp.923), or Respond in the Vectrex Fans Unite Post thread about this same same topic. For Sale or Trade: I recently purchased a lot of four very rare Atari 8-bit game titles on floppy disks for preservation purposes. They are: Chicken Out Concentration Spy Catcher Underwater Cavern All four titles share the attributes of being Developed by General Masters Corporation and Published by ALA Software / ALA Enterprises, Inc. The programmers are unknown, except for Chicken Out which is by Bruce Adelstein. These titles are in plain sleeves, and all with original instructions, except for Underwater Cavern. Images and more info are in the thread at the end of this post. My disks and manuals were sent to Kay Savetz for preservation (and returned to me) for online archives, including a8preservation.com and atarimania.com; the latter of which ranks all these rarities as '9'. I am not a huge collector, and spent way more than I wanted to on these to share with everyone. It was completely worth it to me, but I am hoping to recoup some costs, be it in a sale, or in some fun with trades. Please PM me if interested. I have a wide trade spectrum I'd be open to, from Atari A8 parts/systems/upgrades to newer game controllers, arcade and game console related gear. Doesn't even have to be rare. I even have a handful of regular XL titles I'd consider trading for. If you are a collector of rarities and/or A8 games, let's have some fun.

Announcing the Fair Play edition of Deathmaze 5000. This is a fan revision of an escape room type game from 1980. Puzzle designs are improved to eliminate unfair elements such as pointless objects, moon logic, opaque causation, and inconsistent behaviors. I hope the beauty of the original can now shine in a more satisfying way. Play now at https://github.com/sean-gugler/DeathmazeFairPlay Full source code is there as well. Mind the spoilers!

Do You Have Some Questions About Atari 2600 Whether Buying Games Clone Consoles Or Original Consoles

Put together a short list of some XB golden oldies and converted them into AdvBASIC for the Geneve. Added AdvBASIC features to some of the programs, like 80 column or multi-color font, and others I just converted with little changes. Here are games: Awari barricade (was already a ABASIC program) chicken plus civil war (made 80 column) - note: the 80 column ones I converted I tried to make them look like they were being seen on an old monochrome monitor of some sort. millibornes othello star merchant star trek stocks (made 80 column) uno+ wumpus yathzee (added multi-color font) also included the latest AdvBASIC manual if you want to fiddle with the games some. enjoy ABASIC-conv-games.zip

I have a bunch of old games to sell. I have no idea what they're worth, so I'm going to base my price on the hassle of getting them to you. I have sorted them into three groups by size to make the shipping easier. I'm asking $50 for the games plus $10 for domestic shipping (which will surely be more than $10). International will be more, but we'll work it out. I haven't played these games in nearly 40 years. I have opened all of them, so they're not shrink-wrapped. I'll be posting more stuff in the next few hours.

Selling some Atari ST games I don't have attachment to: Manhunter New York Forgotten Worlds Action Fighter Stationfall SOLD Starcross SOLD Suspended SOLD Karateka SOLD Looking for $50 each for the Infocom games and Manhunter New York, $20 for Karateka, plus shipping. Forgotten Worlds and Action Fighter are $10 together, plus shipping. I'm happy to consider offers and will discount if purchasing multiple items. Stationfall, Starcross, Suspended, Manhunter NY and Karateka are all in excellent condition. I'm the original owner on them and boxes and materials are in great shape, almost like new. Includes full sets of extras including the patch in Stationfall. The only issues are the cardboard map in Suspended is slightly bent in one section and the disk label on Karateka is damaged (I don't remember what happened 35+ years ago). The Manhunter NY disk labels have glue discoloration which is normal for disks of that age and label type. Starcross and Suspended include hint books but I don't know if the invisible text is readable. Some of the hints have been hi-lighted but have faded over time. Forgotten Worlds and Action Fighter are secondhand and in at best fair condition. Forgotten Worlds seems to be missing its second disk and doesn't have any paperwork. Action Fighter has its disk and registration card but no manual. All disks except Starcross boot. Starcross gives TOS Error #35 so I'm thinking it may have gone bad. Tested loading on a 1040STE with 4MB memory. Everything gets packed with bubble wrap and/or packing paper for safe delivery. I generally use USPS for shipping. Feel free to make a reasonable offer for the whole bundle or a subset. I can take PayPal or Venmo. Lastly, I sell on eBay under forbidden-planet if you want to see past sales of toys and other items. Since I haven't gotten much response here the past couple of weeks, I've listed these items there. Cheers!

*** Tomy Tutor/Pyuuta/PyuutaJr: Games & Homebrews MegaPack for MiSTer and MAME - by TMOP *** Due to the recent release of the beta core for Tomy Tutor for MiSTer FPGA (see MiSTer Tomy Tutor Core) I decided to prepare a MegaPack to have in one .zip all the released games and homebrews. I've also included a Excel file in which, for each game/homebrew, there are the tests results and some additional information. If you have some carts/homebrews not in this pack, but in the list, please share them, so can be included in the next update! Have fun! ? I already posted this question on FB but didn't really get any response: I've been working on a new game that's getting to be pretty big - too big to fit it all in expanded memory. I've worked around this by having the program broken up into sections with each program calling the next one. For instance: Start->intro->instructions->level1->level2->etc. So this seems to work fine when the programs are all on a specific disk. But how would this work for a cartridge? What would need to be changed to get this working for cartridge if this is even possible? For disk, it's just a matter of calling: RUN "DSK1.LEVEL1" or whatever is the next program in the sequence. Thanks

Hi folks -- first time poster. Didn't even know forums like this existed for the CoCo till just now. Was hoping someone can help. I remember getting a set of games for the CoCo back in the 80s. IIRC, they were (maybe?) non-commercial games that were bundled together for some reason. I don't even remember if I bought them or if they were giveaways. Anyway, one of the games was a 2D maze game. All I really remember was that it was on a white background and it involved navigating a pretty extensive maze -- it was much larger than a single screen view, so the maze scrolled as you moved around. I don't even remember the object of the game... all I remember was that there was some weird enemy (maybe just a line or something?) that would fly through the maze every now and then and zap you, forcing you to start over. Does this ring a bell for anyone? I don't really have any reason for asking other than for nostalgia purposes, but I'd love to see if that game still exists somewhere. Obviously I don't remember the name... the game just popped into my head recently and I thought I'd try to track it down. Can't find anything on Google. Thanks!

I have a few items i will be selling including DIGIPLAY items & random games. All games are boxed and complete. These games are Very hard to find by collectors. They dont come up very often. All games, manuals, and most overlays are printed in Brazilian Portuguese text. I want to sell on AA to another collector. That is my goal. Good new classic gamers ! I am designing a graphic accelarator cart that will work will all models of the Color Computer . This will allow WiFi ,Multiplayer, Animated Sprites, Tilemaps, Backgrounds, Mp3's , Parallex scrolling , raytracing and more on this open source software to run on your standard coco . Step 1 , load your tilemaps, sprites, sound files and backgrounds on a sd card. Step 2 Play advanced games on your coco or design your own games / applications even from Basic ! Enjoy real world images (.bmp ) files , mp3 music , all from your coco's native monitor/tv set. I am using the funds from my kickstarter game to develope this bleeding edge technology that will allow games like my Space pirate Kimiko game to run on real hardware and still enjoy actual soundtracks and fast graphics. No special programs are needed to use this pre loaded cart. Just as simple as .. POKE 49440,3 will play song 3 from your sd card. So please support this project ! Thanks, MrDave6309

I've been analyzing some disk images found on the web. None of them have iron-clad provenance, but I believe they show circumstantial evidence of at least 4 revisions during their 1985 production runs. Briefly, it looks like: first release fix shop sell-back award to match advertised price; tweak pub keywords and dialogue with Presto numerous text fixes; move Shamino away from Ankh; prevent X-it from a flying balloon dungeon fixes; Lord British dialogue fixes Have a look at my in-depth report, with justifications for why I believe these were retail updates and not after-market hobbyist patches: https://github.com/sean-gugler/u4remasteredA2/wiki/Identifying-Editions I welcome supplemental or contrary evidence! Especially any disk images that can be solidly traced back to a confirmed retail pressing, untampered by crackers or modders.

I'm putting together a set of .HD files for the Geneve with lots & lots of tested software & docs. One thing I'm doing in those set is TI99 GAMES, about 60+ all ready to go & tested. Here's a partial list of the cartridge games (no order) all working on the Geneve: 4Aflyer, ambulance, frogger, pacman, pole position, driving demon, protector II, adventure (& all disk games), all Infocom (except LGOP), anteater, blasto, burgertime, car-wars, card sharp, chisom trail, donkey kong, henpecked, jungle hunt, micro surgeon, moon mine, munchman 2, othello, parsec, popeye, princess & frog, return to pirate isle, roto raider, schnozola, the attack, ti invaders, tunnels of doom (& disks), tombstone city, topper, video chess, hunt the wumpus, buck rogers, centipede, congo bongo, dig dug, hopper, ms pacman, qbert, milton bradly 4 game+demo cart & the Tomy Tutor games. WHAT I haven't got to work but I have found are: munch mobile, defender, video games 1, star trek & moon patrol. for one reason or another they all blow up on the Geneve (and work on the TI99 COD). And the notable cart games that I haven't that haven't found a Geneve version are: munchman, alpiner, bigfoot, fathom, hen house, hustle, MASH, miner 2049er, moon sweeper, picnic paranoia, rabbit trail, robotron, treasure isle & tutankhan. NOTE: I found that MYGPL can run a lot of the PC99 .GRM files. So if you have the PC99 .grm cart versions they might work. SO if you know how to get the not-working list to work or have one of the games on the not-found list that be great. just add it to this post. I run all the working games using MYGPL or in XB in MYGPL from a batch file. With the action games I usually have to do a F4 in MYGPL to slow to 1 or the games are too fast. Sure would be nice to have a command line switch in MYGPL to do the F4=1 in the batch so would not have to start the batch, shft+shft+ctrl to the MYGPL menu, do a F4=1, then back to the game. Have the same problem with EXEC. it runs the games way too & but it has no way to slow them therefore, not useful for TI99 games.

Which do you consider to be the most overlook game for Atari 8-bit computers? From my humble point of view, one of them is "The Infiltrator" (Mindscape, 1986). It doesn't show up in Atarimania's top listings. - Y -

Here is the Uno+ TI-99/4a Extended BASIC version of the Atari Microsoft BASIC Uno+ that was an updated Uno that had been ported from the original TI-99/4a in that had been created using the KXBII Extended BASIC programing package. Got that. Anyway, here is the game and a fun one it is. It has color, it has sound, it has speech, it plays a fairly fast game and includes several of the variations of Uno. You can also save your games parameters to disk so that you wont have to type them in each time. To Play: the bottom 4 lines are the letters for your cards marked by color; red, yellow, green and blue. last line is Spl which is the change color cards with C (change color) or F(play draw 4 change color). the types of cards beside the colors are 0-9 D=draw 2, S=skip and R=reverse. under Spl are C=change color and F=draw 4. when the human plays you choose SORT, PLAY and TAKE. SORT just sorts your cards. TAKE will take a card from the pile. PLAY will play 1 of your cards. in Play you type the card you want to play by following the prompts. the game plays a standard game of Uno except; Uno call is automatic and has 1 in 12 chance of 'forgetting to call a Uno penalty which is also automatic. The original version was the simple standard rules of the game. But the real fun of Uno is the various versions of the game that one can play. So I went back to program and added several of the additional game versions to spice up the game, and a little sound and speech too. There are six new versions of game play: 2S as pick 2? - this version has the 2 card as aTAKE 2 for ALL players. Play a 2 and all the other players will have to take 2 cards. 7S swap cards? - Play a 7 and you can swap your cards with any other player. Take till play? - when you have to take a card you must KEEP taking cards until you get to one that is playable. DRAW4 only? - you can't play a DRAW4 until it's the only card playable. Good Take must play? - When you TAKE a card, if that card is playable, you must play it. NOTE: If TAKE card is playable you get a beep then the game rolls you back to the SORT, PLAY, TAKE screen. The other 3 computer players play a very good game. I programed in that sometimes they will mess up, but not often. I found I win about 1 in 4 or 5 games, which is a good average. The game disk auto-boots a loader program which in turn boots the Uno+ game. Anyway, enjoy the game. unoplus.zip

A while back I wrote an Uno card game in Atari Microsoft BASIC (see here) . Here are the original blog game instructions. More instructions are in the short Uno manual in the .ZIP. To Play: the bottom 4 lines are the letters for your cards segregated by color; red, yellow, green and blue. last line is Spl which is the change color cards. the types of cards beside the colors are 0-9 D=draw 2, S=skip and R=reverse. under Spl are C=change color and F=draw 4. when the human plays you choose SORT, PLAY and TAKE. SORT just sorts your cards. TAKE will take a card from the pile. PLAY will play 1 of your cards. in Play you type the card you want to play by following the prompts. the game plays a standard game of Uno except; Uno call is automatic and has 1 in 12 chance of 'forgetting to call a Uno' penalty which is also automatic. The original version was the simple standard rules of the game. But the real fun of Uno is the various versions of the game that one can play. So I went back to program and added several of the additional game versions to spice up the game, and a little sound too. This is the opening menu choices for the versions. Note that you can load and save your profile choices to disk or just play a default game. I added six new versions of game play: 2S as pick 2? I want to also mention that Atari MS BASIC was such an under-rated BASIC. I gotten to really like. It's greatest strength is it's similarity to other 8-bit BASICs of the time. The game disk auto-boots the Atari MS BASIC which in turn auto-boots the Uno+ game. Anyway, enjoy the game. HLO UnoPlus.zip

Hi guys! I am new to the forums and have recently been getting back into collecting for my Atari 2600 jr. I have the classics such as Asteroids, Space Invaders, & Defender, but have recently purchased Solaris and it has quickly become one of my all time favorites. What are your favorite 2600 games? And do you have any recommendations for games similar to Solaris? Thank you!

I'm retired and needed something to keep my brain working so I decided to port a video game. One of the first Atari 800 games I bought was Apple Panic. I decided it would be a nice place to start. Never having written in Atari 7800Basic, it's a learning experience. I've received help from others who have posted on this forum and I probably will ask for help from time to time. The last game I wrote was back in 1981 - I wrote a volleyball game on the Atari 400 for Softside magazine. It probably was the first they published that used player/missile graphics entirely in basic. This is as far as I have gone with my Apple Panic game written in 7800Basic.

Thanks to some advice from this Great community I have revised my Atari 7800 bundle. I have 29 7800 games up for grabs. Some of them are less common than others. What I did was I went to pricecharting.com looked at the price of every game “loose” and rounded down. Total came to $478 (after rounding down) I am selling the lot for $300. Hopefully you can either round out your collection or snag these up and make a few bucks. -Asking price $300 + Shipping. I work for FedEx and get a discount on shipping. So once we strike a deal, ill box them up, and get a price quote. Again, thanks for all the advice everyone.
