  1. Hi, I´ve made some more new pieces of my (mostly in germany) well-known expansions. If you´re interested, please find all informations below (end of this post)! 512 KB SRAM memory expansion for all Atari XL/XE and XEGS This small PCB (only 5 x 5 cm) enables your Atari XL/XE to watch the newest demos or play the actual homebrew games which requires often more than the 64 KB main memory of the machine. My solution don´t need the drill holes for switches, it´s software configured. After power on, the 512 KB "RAMBO" mode is active. This mode should fit all your needs in 99% of all use cases. For some rare programs you can switch to 256 KB Compy-Shop mode (with seperated ANTIC and CPU access) or switch the whole expansion off. These setting remains active until you power off the computer, a coldstart without power cycling won´t change the setting anyway. The ANTIC needs to desoldered, if it´s not already in a socket. Also the MMU. Just three wires must be soldered, a prepared cable for that is included. This SRAM based 512 KB memory expansion works in all Atari XL, XE and XEGS computers. Mini-Speedy 1050 for the Atari 1050 diskdrive This small PCB sizes only 5 x 5 cm and it´s installation is absolute solderfree. Just remove two chips, cut of four capacitors and plug in the Mini-Speedy 1050 PCB - that´s all! The Mini-Speedy 1050 offers the following features: 1. Highspeed SIO transfer up to approx 76000 bps 2. Real Double Density (180k each disk, 256 bytes per sector) 3. Flawless 8 KByte track buffer with highspeed write by default 4. Works with all known Highspeed SIO routines and any DOS 5. Built-in (just boot your 1050 with open disk lever!) Highspeed-Copy-Program or BiboDOS (needs seperate switch for changing Speedy O.S. selection). Turbo 1050 Replica for the Atari 1050 diskdrive The Turbo 1050, made by B. Engl, is one of the "freakiest" products I know. Just using an EPROM, a GAL (logic chip) and some parts around the Turbo 1050 is a very cool floppy enhancement for the Atari 1050 diskdrive. The power is in the software only! No track buffer, no additional RAM, no CPU with bigger address space. On the other hand, Turbo 1050 can copy more protected games like any Happy 1050! A short brief about the features: 1. Enables Double Density (180k per disk, 256 bytes per sector) 2. Enables Highspeed-SIO up to 70000 bps 3. Has built-in "BackUp Machine" for copying protected disks 4. Parallel port printer interface (not included in this replica) Due to the fact that the Turbo 1050 hasn´t any track buffer the Highspeed-SIO is always used, but really effective only when the disk to be used was formatted using the Turbo 1050. The Turbo 1050 formats disks with a special interleaving, so that these disks can be read at the same speed like all other floppy enhancements with track buffer. How to order You don´t need to show interest - these products are already developed and built, I have some at stock. Please load the following PDF file: http://www.van-radecke.de/STUFF/tfhh_HW_info.pdf If this link won´t work, try this one (same content): https://c.gmx.net/@334647219317637459/l5-Q6dQOQl-nheYIoit9ZQ This PDF file will be regulary updated! So you don´t need to ask "Is there any left?" - just download the file and look to page 2 This "catalogue" also includes my other solutions. Jurgen
  2. *Sorry if this is t allowed* I just was reading online that a lot of people are looking for these Tandy memory expansion cards. the card looks very clean Its on eBay
  3. BEWARE: I have not tested this but, it is so simple and I can see no reason for it not to work. If you have already installed this 32K console SRAM mod, then it won't take much more work to fully populate the RAM space at >8000 to >83FF. That would give you 1024 bytes instead of just 256. It seems to me that disconnecting the CS* from the 6810s and moving that signal over to pin 4 of U504 C2 (first remove the +5VDC from it) should be all that is necessary. I see two possibilities for doing this. I think this might be the easier of the two but, you may find other possibilities that I didn't consider. The signal could be removed from the 6810s by cutting the trace coming from pin 8 of U507. Run a jumper from pin 8 of U507 to pin 4 of U504 C2. Do not forget to remove the 5VDC from pin 4 prior to connecting this jumper, though. Cutting this trace at this point cuts off the connection to U606, pin 12. In all likelihood, you would want to reestablish the connection from U507, pin 8 to pin 12 of U606. This would be required, if you have the defeat switch installed, so the Scratch Pad memory would still be fast memory when the switch is in bypass mode. The 2nd solution I came up with was to pull or cut the CS* pin on BOTH 6810s. Then run a jumper from the hole that is left under pin 11 to U504 C2-4 (again, remove the 5VDC from it first). This doesn't break the connection to pin 12, U606, so nothing more should have to be done. Alternatively, you could remove both 6810s from the board since they will not be used anymore. I intend to leave them in, possibly to be used as a small buffer for another idea with which I have been toying. I made up schematics for what I call the Clulow-Guion 32K upgrade, and I am attaching them to this post. They are intended as an addendum to "Hardware Manual for the Texas Instruments 99/4A Home Computer" by Michael L. Bunyard. The largest difference between the CG32K and the BC32K is the CG32K can be switched back and forth between 0 wait states and the normal 4 wait states using a toggle switch. I don't think you can hot swap it, though I can't offer first hand test results. Even though I am going to use this as a basis for the 1st stage of my own design, I do not intend to use a toggle switch to bypass the zero wait state in mine, so chances are that I never will test a hot swap of this particular mod. I want to be able to hot swap mine via software, and perhaps a mechanical push button. Instructions for the three current Ballmann-based mods are found here: http://www.mainbyte.com/ti99/16bit32k/32kconsole.html Please let me know if you think I'm in error with the schematics or the modification I've suggested. If you try it and it works, please let me know. If it doesn't work... well, that's your fault for trusting me. Clulow-Guion_32K.upgrade.tar.gz
  4. since i've finnished with shipments of boards from previous run, i'm able to make another 100 boards preorder will be open for a month board wasn't altered so there is still a need of adding 2 resistors to RD4 and RD5 signal lines (please see spiflash.org, or previous preorder thread for details) as for now, boards are partially assemble to the point where semiconductors should be soldered in, this means shorter time for delivery realistically it will be 3 or 4 months starting from now (some parts have very long lead time, and aren't stocked) board cost is $50 or 40 euro (170pln), shipment is $7 for up to three boards preorder will be open for a month, and then i'll contact each of you individually with the details please put quantity and target machine type in this thread, it will shorten my paper work and prevent situations i'm having right now (few boards are still undelivered because of missing shipping address or machine type) Sebastian memo
  5. Hello, I was wondering, if the Atari 1064 Expansion memory for Atari 600XL, could be used in any Atari 800XL, improving the Atari 800XL RAM, or not work? Any comment, suggest, are welcome. Thanks! Regards.
