Looking for Odyssey 2 box and manual, as well as a 5200 controller holder. Also, would love to trade my TRS-80 CoCo 2 for your Sears Super Video Arcade. Please check my sales thread for trade options and info, as this is preferred, but will also pay actual money, too, if necessary! Thanks for looking.

Looking for a complete in box Demon Attack for Magnavox Odyssey2. It's the last game that I need to complete my CIB collection of US Odyssey2 games. One sold today on eBay for $102.50. The eBay app inexplicably failed to remind me about the auction towards the end like it always has in the past, so I missed out. Doh! If you have one available, please let me know via PM. Would be happy to purchase it from you at an agreed upon price. Thanks!

Hello everyone, I have quite a few 2nd gen consoles, and they all hook up fine with a coax to rf device, yet the Odyssey 2 has practically no picture. I can only tell it is hooked up, and not blank static. I do not possess the classic hook screw posts on my crt that old systems used to use switch boxes to attach to. I'm going crazy, and I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I've googled around for ages, and haven't found something that works. Please help!

This game is as simple as it gets in terms of controls. The joystick is used while the button is not. It would have been nice if the joystick allowed you to move left and right and adjust your shot up or down and to shoot you would use the fire button. Still this is a fun two player only game. Best part is the manual with those bright neon colors and futuristic design.

Hi, I recently picked up an Odyssey 2. When I turned it on, I could hear the sounds it made through my tv, but the screen was completely blank. I took it apart and cleaned the motherboard, which had some corrosion, and since then the screen now shows a strange flicker of lines whenever there is sound, but if there is no sound the screen stays blank. The pattern of the lines seems to be affected by the pitch of the sounds. I can tell the game is playing in the background, because the sounds match up to what should be happening in the game. One more issue that I have found is that the included power supply seems to be outputting 13.5 volts AC instead of 11.5. Could this be the source of the issue? I'm having some difficulty finding O2 power supplies compatible with my version online. I've also cleaned out the RF modulator and reseated the CPU and Video/audio chips, but nothing changed. I've attached a picture of one of the brief static flashes when there is sound.

I am selling this as a set for the time being - messages asking me to piece this out will be ignored - fair warning. This lot is being offered as a set only for now - All games are CIB and in protectors - The only thing missing is the Math Wizardry book from Nimble Numbers Ned I am asking $550 shipped in the US friends and family, or add enough to cover fees. I will cover $15 of the international shipping cost to help out the buyers outside the US. I will ship internationally but that shipping cost will suck and is all on the buyer. The box is 22 x 18 x 12 and weighs 21 lbs. Alien Invaders - Plus! Alpine Skiing! Armored Encounter! / Subchase! Atlantis Attack of the Timelord! Baseball! Blockout! / Breakdown! Bowling! / Basketball! Casino Slot Machine! Computer Golf! Computer Intro! Cosmic Conflict! Demon Attack Dynasty! Electronic Table Soccer! Football! Freedom Fighters! Hockey! / Soccer! Invaders from Hyperspace! I've Got Your Number! K.C. Munchkin! K.C.'s Krazy Chase! Keyboard Creations! Killer Bees! Las Vegas Blackjack! Matchmaker! / Buzzword! / Logix! Math-A-Magic! / Echo! This Magnavox Odyssey 2 games console has been completely refurbished, is in perfect working order, comes with 17 games (12 complete in box) and also comes with some rare spare items. Console refurbishment included: - All plastics thoroughly cleaned inside and out. - Joysticks thoroughly cleaned and tested (both work perfectly). - Motherboard and cartridge contacts thoroughly cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. - Motherboard graphics colour issue fixed by replacing the colour encoder chip (colours are now perfect). - ALL electrolytic capacitors replaced with new high quality ones. - Power supply and motherboard voltage regulation tested and verified to be providing correct voltages to all components. - Installation of a Type 1 composite video modification (using a PCB that I designed). Looks incredibly good on my LCD TV. Includes adjustable potentiometer to tweak to look the best on your TV/monitor. Game refurbishment included: - All game boxes cleaned and where necessary/practical repaired. - All game cartridges cleaned externally. - Electrical contacts of all game cartridges cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. - All games tested and working. Apart from the console, the following are also included: - Original power supply (working). Due to its age I do recommend that you consider replacing this with a new one to prevent possible future damage to the console. - Original RF modulation box and associated RF cable both of which were removed from the console to make way for the composite video mod that I installed. The RF box and cable can be reinstalled by you if you desire. - TWO SPARE ODYSSEY 2 MOTHERBOARDS. I bought these to provide spare parts in case anything goes wrong with the console. These are rare and difficult to get hold of, and in particular are invaluable as they provide spares for the proprietary chips used by Magnavox for this console. - An alternative (Type 2) composite video mod that again I designed the PCB for. On my TV this gave a slightly lower quality image than the one I kept in the console. I'm providing this as an alternative for you in case this actually gives a better picture on your TV. I've put in an enormous number of hours work refurbishing this console and the games. You'll be hard pushed to find an alternative in better working condition. Looking for US$225 + shipping but open to reasonable offers.

Does anyone have an Odyssey 2 multicart? I've seen some for sale online but the gentlemen who usually sells them seems overwhelmed so I was wondering if anyone here had one for sale. Please let me know. Anthony

Was there a Odyssey 2 with removable controlers ?
TheCoolDave posted a topic in Odyssey 2 / Videopac
Hi, I've head a rumor but, never saw one... I wanted to use a Odyssey 2 in my cabinet when get started but, the controller wire length is just too small and with them attached I cant keep the shelf clean. So was there such a unit that had removable controllers with extensions available (if it's a standard plug, it can be created)? If your wondering about the cabinet project I am doing, this was the starting and my thread for it. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/284807-connecting-many-classic-consoles-to-modern-tv-revisited/ -
Hi, folks! Found a working O2 locally. Thanks for anyone that responded. Steve

Greetings! I just acquired my first Odyssey 2 console this weekend while at the Retro Game Con in Syracuse. Unfortunately, my adventures with KC Munchkin are on hold while I figure out a video issue. When turned on the picture is black with or without a cartridge in it. I can hear the audio from the game when I press a number key so I know code is being executed and that the CPU is probably fine. I've reset both CPU and AV chips in their sockets a few times. I also re-flowed the socket pins. I also added a composite amp to remove the RF modulator from equation. I get audio through it but the video is still black through composite. The TV does see a composite video signal. Next I want to re-flow some more pins, check some continuity, signals (AV and Color chips), and maybe replace the electrolytic caps (the seem ok though). Before I do that I wanted to tap the knowledge base here. Does anyone have any recommendations on how I should go about debugging/fixing this? I do have an oscilloscope available. Composite amp schematics: http://solarfox.triluminary.net/hwh_o2avc_p2.php Odyssey 2 schematics I'm using: https://console5.com/wiki/Odyssey2 I found this thread, but it was a dead-end: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/170540-magnavox-odyssey-2-picture-problem/

These four consoles are by far the cheapest to buy and easiest to collect for. If you want to collect for Studio II, Astrocade, Channel F, Arcadia 2001 (Why are there so many of these?), APF-MP1000, Creativision, Adventure Vision, 5200(?), or vectrex (Sadly) you are a bit crazy perhaps. I'm looking at the Wikipedia page for second generation consoles... Why are there so many?!? No wonder the market crashed There were like... 18 different consoles worldwide... and that's just silly.-
