  1. ......and XBox 360 and a few games for it.
  2. *SOLD!!!!* Hi all, Trying to re-organize my game room, and I have no space left. At all. So it's time to start moving some stuff along that doesn't get as much use as they deserve. $250 $200 - Xbox One X 1TB, 2 wireless controllers, controller charge station, complete in box, great condition - has only had a few hours of play time in the few months i've had it. Based in the USA. Paypal friends/family/gift whatever it is. Buyer pays shipping. I'll be home in about 6 hours so I can post pics at that time. I'll be posting more stuff as I try to make room in my little game room, unless I kick the missus out and take over the entire house. SOLD - $200 - Amiga 600, includes Furia EC020 - no mouse, no PSU, no video cable. Bought after receiving a recap from the UK. More info on the Furia here - https://lotharek.pl/productdetail.php?id=105. I have my 1200 so this one needs to go to a good home. Great condition, no yellowing
  3. is my xbox controller supposed to light up when i plug it into my android OTG cable? because it's not. i tried USB/BT joystick Center, and it recognizes the controller, but the buttons don't do anything. my device is a samsung galaxy S2 with android 4.0.4. i checked with a compatibility app that my device is compatible with OTG. what do i do? i cant even move a cursor with my controller. can somebody help please?
  4. So I was reading an issue of Electronic Games and a reviewer was going on about how much he loved the port of the 1981 arcade game Space Dungeon on the Atari 5200. He only wished he could tie two controllers together so that he could play it better. And he couldn't understand why the arcade game wasn't more successful than it was. In my mind, the answer is that the arcade game is too damn tough. So here's what I'd recommend if you want to get into this game: Throw MAME for XBOX onto a modded original XBOX. The game is already mapped as: Left analog stick = move Right analog stick = fire Then map the coin-op settings to the d-pad and set the arcade machine Location Programming to: Ships per game = 6 Bonus Increment (000) to 1 I originally tried setting ships per game higher, but it seems to ignore anything past 6. So I instead opted to set it as a bonus ship for every 1000 points. The game's laid out on a 6x6 grid. It's a bit like playing Robotron on a huge map. There's continuity, so monsters will follow you from room to room. There's also a timer, so the longer you wait around, the more waves of monsters will appear. Similar to Gauntlet, there's a thief on level 2. So if you can't find any treasure, he's the reason why. Once you nab him, he'll drop all the treasure. You'll drop all your treasure in the room you were killed in. The flashing square on the map marks the last room that you died in. The light yellow square is the room you're currently in. On each level, you collect treasure (crosses and asterisks). Bring those to the room marked in dark yellow and drop them off in the box that reads, "Collect Bonus". That'll take you to level 2. Similar to Xenophobe, you don't have to collect all of the treasure to qualify for moving on to the next level of the dungeon. Enjoy! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Dungeon https://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=9648 https://www.giantbomb.com/space-dungeon/3030-19413/

  7. This week Microsoft announced a new subscription based program called Xbox All Access, which you can find the full details on here: https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2018/08/27/xbox-all-access/ The short version is that for $22 a month you get a brand new Xbox One S system, 24 months of Xbox Live Gold, and 24 months of their Game Pass service (which is much like Netflix for video games). Alternately, for $35 a month you can get an Xbox One X instead of a One S. The catch is that you're locked into a 24 month contract, but once the 24 months is up you own the system and get to keep it; similar to the way mobile phone companies sell phones these days. Personally I think it's a brilliant idea, as there's probably quite a few people who would like to play current generation video games but might not be able to plunk down hundreds of dollars up front for a system. The only hitch in the plan is that it's pretty common knowledge that Microsoft and Sony plan to roll out their next gen systems in a year or so, which makes being locked into a 2 year contract for an aging system a little less attractive. On the flip side, I know that if Nintendo offered the same kind of deal where you got a Switch with their own Game Pass type service that had 100+ current generation games to download for $22 a month I'd run out and sign up today. So I'm curious what you guys and gals think of this new service? Is it something you'd be interested in and could it be the future of console and game distribution?

  10. Microsoft is showing the X360 a lot of love...but the original XBOX still has a bunch of great titles that I would love to see added to their XBOX ONE compatibility list. Here are 18 I'd like added! WISH LIST: Test Drive Eve of Destruction Phantom Dust Otogi 1 & 2 Stubbs the Zombie 007 Everything or Nothing Call of Cthulhu Burnout 3 X-men Legends 1 & 2 Timesplitters 2 Timesplitters Future Perfect The Suffering The Suffering Ties that Bind Outrun 2 Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast Mechassault Mechassault 2: Lone Wolf Phantom Dust What OG XBOX games would you like to see Microsoft add to XBOX ONE backwards compatibility?
  11. Found all of this through Facebook a few days ago, all for $35 (the Wii wasn't mentioned in the ad, but it was in the bag). The PS2 (model number 79001) didn't have any cables, so I tested it with my own. Disk didn't spin at first, but that was because a piece of plastic broke off the lid, so it wasn't hitting the trigger. Fixed that and it works great. Haven't tried the Wii yet, but inside is an official 2 gb SD card. I'm going to clean them both up and remove the stickers. I'm probably going to sell them cheap, since they are duplicates. It's nice to find some Atari 2600 games, even common ones like these. I've always wanted Lost Luggage, heard it was fun!
  12. Connect your old Xbox to the HDMI port on your television without the use of any adapters or power supplies, just plug and play. Important to know that it doesn't upscale, but simply converts the component signal to HDMI. I test it with a bunch of games including some that run at 480P, 480i, 720P and 1080i. This is my review with gameplay footage.
  13. Used Xbox One console (black), 500GB, great condition Comes with box, system, one controller, AV cable, power brick, (original) Destiny game on disc Asking $130 shipped (for US shipments.. outside of US would be more). Paypal or trade (looking for more ColecoVision homebrews) listed here: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/279778-colecovision-homebrews/ I also have a few backwards-compatible 360 games on disc I can add in cheaply: - COD: Black Ops II - Gears of War 3 - Bioshock Infinite - Borderlands 2 - Mass Effect 3 - Left 4 Dead 2 (also have 360 games: Rock Band 3, Dead Rising 2, and Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, but these are not on the backwards compatibility list) 6/23 edit: games list
  14. Hey, me again. Among some other finds secured from Habitat for Humanity was 3 Xbox 360 units in various conditions. Two are Xenons while one is a Jasper. I am disinclined to try and even test the Xenons because what's the point? I did scavenge the heat sinks from them and will hang onto them for spare parts should the need arise. The Jasper actually turns on and shows the NXE, but after a short amount of time, the display turns off, the fan speeds up, and it flashes two red lights on the left side(I believe it's 1 and 3) of the ring of light. I have since cleaned out the Xbox, removed the heatsinks and cleaned/applied fresh thermal compound, and tried running the system again. Still turns off after a short time and flashes the error code. So I installed two copper heatsinks from the two Xenon motherboards since I have read they are a bit better for heat dissipation than the aluminum blocks that came with the Jasper. Same behavior. So I even went so far as to solder a wire on the underside of the board to pull additional power to run the fan at full speed all the time(single wire 12 v fan mod). This time the system ran for a few minutes this time before eventually doing the same thing. I'm pretty much at my wits end as far as thinking of possible solutions. It does look like this system was previously tinkered with, possibly even recapped, and so who knows what might have happened to it for it to end up being sold to me for $3 as a parts machine. Short of trying to rig up some kind of water cooling system - which I have no experience doing and would quite probably be overkill for an xbox I would like to RGH - I don't know what else could be done to keep the processor cool or identify what the deeper problem is. *edit: There is one other thing I could try, but I don't know if it would actually help, and would probably push me past the point of no return. One of the Xenons had a bunch of washers and bolts in lieu of the x-clamps, so I assume it was an RROD x-clamp fix/mod to apply more pressure from the heat sink to the chip. I kept the washers/bolts so it's something I could do, but I don't know if it would have an appreciable effect as far as providing a more secure connection from the heatsink to the chip, thus preventing overheating, or if it would simply damage the BGA.
  15. I keep all my ripped movies on an external hard drive and even though I have a dedicated media player for movie watching, I recently started using my Xbox One more and mote (not just for games, but YouTube, radio and other things.) So what's the best media player for the console? I tried the stock app, but it's not very good and I was wondering what other people are using for watching movies on their Xbox One consoles. I want something that supports a lot of files, like MKV, AVI, MP4 and so on and something that's easy to use/setup. Really looking forward to your recommendations! Thanks in advance.

While it won't boot PSX discs the PS1 emulator works very well. $200 (clear or custom case mods w/250GB - more if larger drive is desired) UPDATE: added TSOP option where you can have XBMC as a hi-def 720p Dashboard. All content is high def capable already but using XBMC as a dashboard really makes it look nice. Shooting for my mods to work like this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KumB340gtUo Coinops 8 R8 combined with a 720p XBMC front end looks amazing With the emulators that are pre-installed you can play everything from the Atari 2600 era all the way up to N64 / PSX era gaming which is quite amazing.
