Honestly it doesn't HAVE to be working, as long as it's in fair cosmetic condition. Looking for the XMM801 locally as there is no way I'll ever be paying shipping, especially with how little money I have being a jobless college student at the moment. Hello everyone, One of my light sixers has been suffering from awful static and strange noises when I turn it on. The voltage regulator, channel select switch, and power switch have been repaired/replaced, yet it still doesn't work. I was thinking that it may be improper tuning on the rf modulator. Unfortunately, all of my allen wrenches cannot fit the hole in the modulator (either they are too small or too big). Is there any specific size or brand I should use? Maybe I should replace the entire rf modulator instead? Thank you for responding, Matt S.

Hi folks, I am new at AtariAge. Months ago, I've got an AV-modded european Atari 2600 Jr. (Rev. F board) in a great condition for cheap. However, here at my country (Brazil), PAL-B compatible TV sets are rare to find. The closest color system that is supported by most TVs is PAL-N (PAL variation used in Argentina and a few more countries in South America). I tried to replace the 4.433618 MHz XTAL with a 3.582056 MHz one, but that gave me no colors in any PAL-N compatible set. Also tried to replace the 3.546894 MHz one with a second 3.582056 MHz XTAL, but still gave me nothing but B&W picture. Is there something I can do to make this console output PAL-N? Both systems are 50 Hz and have the same resolution, so it should work somehow. Thanks a lot! -

Part of the last phase of development for the The Promised End MH project is to dial in the difficulty to be as accessible as possible for most players while still making it challenging for experts. To help with that we wanted to hear from other players to see how far they get and what keeps them from progressing deeper into the original game. 1. (When playing from level 1 forward) What's the highest level you usually get to using factory default settings? 2. How far do you get when warping to higher levels like level 13+ for example? 3. Please describe what obstacles/enemies give you the most trouble and what level this is on. Thanks in advance for any feedback you can provide.

Hello everyone, I thought I should show my small collection, since I am fairly new to this website. As of today, I have four Atari 2600's manufactured under Atari itself (no Sears products, except for the Tele-games game center), the original famicom and super famicom, the original SNES, an original NES, and four old computers (Macintosh SE, Commodore VIC-20, and an Apple IIE). It seems that I have more hardware than software, which is a shame.

I have an Atari 800, Commodore 64 and Atari 2600 all running through a 4 port Composite switch. The output of the 4 port switch connects to the back of the Commodore 1702 Chroma/Luma inputs. (I did not know it but these standard composite cables carry the Chroma / Luma signals just fine). Unfortunately the Atari 2600 suffers some slight interference though. I have the Atari 2600 s-video mod with an s-video to composite cable. When I plug that directly into the back of the 1702 the picture is perfect. When I run it through the switcher I get interference. I have tried many combinations but nothing seems to work unless the Atari is connected directly to the back of the 1702. Here is my idea. I am thinking that I need to get all signals s-video directly to the 1702 or find a better switch. The output would just be an s-video to composite that would go into the Chroma and Luma on the back of the Commodore 1702 monitor. Would this type of thing potentially eliminate the interference for the 2600? Thanks!

Afternoon all... so i recently found and decided to hook up my old supradrive to my atari st to look at some old files on there (i`m a working musician and used the ST extensively during the 80`s / 90`s... upon power up i heard a bit of a "crack" from within the casing !!!! ... so i opened her up and a couple of chips on what looks like the controller board were fried ... a quick look on the web meant that i could source the affected chips still and relatively cheaply (hurrah!) ...BUT..... one of the affected chips seems to be a custom programmed EPROM.. and i was wondering if anyone has or knows where to get the file i need to re-burn the new chip as my drive is useless without it .... alternatively can anyone suggest an alternate housing i could source so i can swap the actual HD over ... see piccy`s for the lowdown ... affected chips are 74HCT240N X 1 Easily available S7407N X 1 " " PAL16L8ANC X 1 " " CUSTOM EPROM.. Thanks for any advice / help offered.. steve

I was thinking of Modding my 2600 JR to output AV video. I did a mod to my JR around a year ago, and i ended up killing my board when i tried changing the jacks on it, and i can't find the original posting for the mod i Did. I saw this AV mod for the JR, and i was wondering how well it worked. https://atariage.com/howto/composite.html I think i remember some people saying the video quality wasn't the best, but I am just looking for something that is reasonably good enough to use. atari st Connecting Atari ST to modern TVs?

Hi! i've been interested in getting an Atari ST lately, and have seen ones on ebay that have Television ports in the back, but just have atari 520St Badges and not Atari STm badges. would these still work with cables like https://www.ebay.com/itm/ATARI-ST-QUALITY-GOLD-RCA-PHONO-TV-AUDIO-VIDEO-CABLE-OFC-2M/390232521592?epid=2263100432&hash=item5adbabbb78:g:FOAAAOSw2s1UuoH4 ? on that note, would normal atari st's without a television port work with that cable? (such as Atari STF's, or just ST's without television ports) I live in the U.S. Also: If they have the television port but not the STm badge, does this mean the operating system is off of a floppy disk?
