  1. Hello guys and girls After the bad news that the Fujiama 2020 can and will not take place this year, we just now got some very good news. Mr. V. has announced today that he's striving to make next years meeting, the Fujiama 2021, last a whole week again. A date hasn't been set yet. Location will probably be the same as ever, the Schützenhaus in 08485 Lengenfeld. Hope to see you all there next year. Mathy
  2. Hello Atari fans! I'm a poor indie game developer who is trying to complete an Amazing Atari 2600 PC style game and I'd really need some help from the community about the console limitations to keep my upcoming title as close to an original Atari 2600 game as possible! The game is called DEADFALL and here I've sent you a screenshoot of the game and the relative box art mockup! Thank you so much for your time!
  3. Hi guys. I am a new member here, but I wanted to give the AtariAge members first dibs on this Kiosk before I list it on eBay. I have looked through the forums, and it appears the last Kiosk sold in 2014, but I don't see what price it sold for, and one in 2013 for I am assuming $750. I don't think one has popped up since then. This kiosk does not have the built in brain board. I purchased this from an older couple who got it from a K-Mart in 1986. It has been sitting in their basement ever since, and does show some signs of wear, but nothing major. Most damage as you will see in the photos is along the front control panel laminate. There is some moisture damage on the underside at the base in the rear, but you can't even see it when up against a wall. Also, it appears to be missing two of the bottom shelves, but a piece of MDF would suffice in replacement, it is pretty basic. T-molding all looks pretty decent, plexi has some scuffs but not too bad. Around the control panel there is some staining from what looks like Pepsi or something, but not too bad. I tried to clean it the best I could but with a little extra work I'm sure it could be restored further. The controls work great. In fact, it makes playing 2600 enjoyable lol. The paddles might need a shot of electronics cleaner, but they both still function fairly well. It is currently stationed in my garage, up on pallets. The featured photo shows it all decked out with merchandise (and photoshopped into a nicer looking room rather than a garage, lol) - sorry, games not included. Please click the imgur album link to see more photos. Included is the kiosk itself, the gnarly Sony Trinitron, and the 2600 console. I am in the Springfield/Dayton area in Ohio, and I assume most of you would prefer to pickup so you could see it in person first - but if I can get close to my price I might consider doing a delivery, make a weekend out of it. It would be delivered disassembled of course (assembly is like 12 screws). Here is my eBay user account if you'd like to check my feedback/whatever; http://www.ebay.com/usr/poisongoomba Link to imgur album with more photos: http://imgur.com/a/auJBu Please feel free to ask me any questions about it. I don't have a lot of room to store it, and I would love it to go to a good home where it can be preserved. Thanks! EDIT: I currently have a standing offer for $1500, the buyer wants to meet me in September. So I will put a hold on until then.
  4. So, just a couple weeks ago I bought my first *real* Atari 2600 after spending years playing just Flashback models. It's a handsome black and grey American Atari Jr. model; 4 switches, small, can't fit Parker Bros. cartridges, cost $150 at my local Hock Shop. Came with a copy of Missile Command. The other day while playing Space Invaders, I spilt Chocolate Milk on the console, though it was off at the time. I let it dry and it seems to be working fine, except for one tiny detail --- the color is black and white! And it won't work no matter what I do; not changing the TV channel, not turning that little grey color switch left and right, not squeezing thr film capicators, nothing! Can someone help me?
  5. If anyone can answer any of the following questions concerning Atari and 3rd Party floppy drive hardware for our 8-bits, I would appreciate it. The information is needed for continued construction of my forthcoming hardware site. I don't own any of the following hardware, otherwise I'd tear is apart and find out the needed info. The Atari 8-bit FAQ has already been searched, as well as whatever information might be available on Atariage and other sites on the net. Atari 810 Manufactured in Sunnyvale? Micro Peripherals mech part #? Atari 1050 Western Storage Technology mech part #? Rana 1000 RAM size? Micro Peripherals mech part #? Percom AT-88 Tandon & Micro Peripherals mech part #'s? Amdek AMDC I/II RAM size? Drive mech?
  6. UPDATE: The collection is already sold. I've put up for sale a full set of official Atari Lynx pins belonging to the French 'Defi Lynx' promotion from 1991. All 35 pins in one single eBay listing, shipping worlwide from Spain: https://www.ebay.com/itm/254718049316
  7. For Sale - Vintage Atari 800 in EXCELLENT cosmetic and physical condition. I am asking $245 $215 USD plus shipping (or local pickup). Keyboard and all keys are solid and working. All ports and both cartridge slots work. Nice uniform coloration on the outer case. No visible cracks in the plastic case. This is a collector quality unit. Sale includes Atari 800, BASIC cartridge and original Atari power supply. I opened the case, blew out the dust, saw no modifications, replaced one of the plungers for one of the special keys (OPTION I think). I have been using this unit a couple times a week for the past couple months with no issues. You will be hard pressed to find a better looking 800. Although everything is working for me, I make no guarantee or warranty that it will work for you because being about 40 years old, shipping can be rough on these. I have sold/shipped several of these over the years and know how to pack them for good protection. Local pickup is always welcome (in NC/SC). Otherwise shipping to the U.S. lower 48 usually costs about $35. Message me with questions. Payment via PayPal is preferred. We can discuss other items for purchase if you are interested. I also have good working 1050 drives, 1010 tape units, 400 computers. Many cartridges. Many books, manuals, brochures, some commercial software/games, etc.
  8. So while not the first coin-op commercially produced video game (Computer Space), Pong was Atari's first game and also was the first video game we know of for which a conversion kit was sold (by a third party). Not to be confused with the countless pong knockoffs that soon followed, JRW's Handicap was intended to upgrade/convert an existing Atari Pong cabinet. In the one in our collection, it actually consists of a daughter board that connects to and retains the original Pong pcb (along with an upgraded control panel)! Each player can independently set their own difficulty level (paddle size) and manually serve the balls... I thought I'd share since the JRW version isn't well known (even amongst the coin-op oriented KLOV members on my site) but its place in history as the first coin-op video game conversion and connection to Atari's first game seemed to warrant sharing here. Side note: This isn't the first arcade conversion. Arcade machine conversions have been popular since at least as far back as the late 1920s (1926 to 1929), and were quite common during World War II as new games weren't been made while factories were focused on supporting the war effort. 2 photos of control panels from machines in our collection: The first is from Pong serial #1 (ex-Curt Vendel, signed by Nolan Bushnell). The second is from our JRW conversion machine.

  10. Is the ball in these typically that yellowish color when new? After seeing images in some recent topics I decided to dig mine out of storage, forgot what great condition mine was in and about the only thing I have that also still has the clear plastic on the aluminum strip (MUST RESIST REMOVING ?) I really need to try this accessory more as it seems to be in excellent shape however, I noticed like many pictured the ball seems discolored yellowish, looking up images online it seems it WAS originally white? If it should be white might look into brightening or SHOULD I BOTHER? Is it more trouble than it is worth? I only lightly tested it upon receiving the 5200 / games etc in a lot years ago. I should do more testing and also maybe give it some maintenance if required. ANY GOOD TUTORIALS or videos on that? Also, I may have posted similar at one time but my memory is not getting any better ? Still, thanks in advance for any / all replies.....IF anyone or a mod notices I am repeating this post just merge it or point me in the direction of original post.
  11. Looking to buy or trade for a tested & working Atari 8-Bit Cassette Drive (any type that will work with an NTSC 800 or 800XL.) I've now purchased a total of 4 drives (2 each 1010 & 410,) serviced them all to the best of my ability and none of them work. 2 different computers and 3 different cables (with the 1010's.) My primary trade item, for someone who is up to doing better servicing than I, are the 3 remaining drives (sold one of the 1010's,) I have that are not working. I also have some other Atari parts, as well as general vintage parts. If interested, l can send a list. Thank you.

  14. My family didn't have an Atari until well into the crash, when they were on clearance tables with double-digit price tags. Before that, my time on the VCS / 2600 was mainly on the displays in the stores. There wasn't a Sears, Kmart, or Woolworth's within walking or biking distance for me--let alone any arcades--so I had to wait until the folks went to the store. And then, it was game on! Maybe. If there was a pile of bikes by the store entrance, then the store display was usually mobbed with kids all waiting for their short turns to play whatever cartridge was being featured. If there were any 13-15 year olds in the crowd, forget it. They'd hog the controls until the store closed, while the pre-teens like myself looked on helplessly. Any polite requests to play were met with stony silence. Sometimes we'd resort to watching the unplayable demonstration cartridge repeat itself over and over on the nearby Intellivision display. Another obstacle was grouchy sales clerks, usually old ladies with curly hair, horn-rimmed bifocals and perma-frowns. Couldn't get within ten feet of the display without being halted by a snappy "Don't touch that!" But other times it was wide open, and I got to spend some quality time with Asteroids, Berzerk, Pitfall, and Seaquest. Some of my best Atari play sessions were at the Air Force BX...there weren't usually many other kids there, my folks would shop for hours, and the sales clerks were young and friendly. Sometimes they'd even play a game or two with me. Got any memories like these? Please share! Larry
  15. Hello ,my 7800 sound is buzzy and fuzzy ,just static or nothing. I can adjust the 7800 and 2600 colour pots to perfect clarity ,the RF picture pot is also adjustable to perfect clarity ,however my ferrite sound potentiometer is jammed like a mutha !!!. I was thinking about a standard potentiometer like in a guitar for example as a replacement. Also I purchased an RCA mod kit. Would the mod kit bypass the ferrite pot?. Any ideas ???.
  16. This is a super nice condition Atari 8bit cartridge holder book thingy. I've seen a few of these but this one is in the best condition I've ever seen with no cracks and no major dimples in the plastic. It has room for your 6 most prized Atari 8bit cartridges along with a slot to hold the half-page sized instructions/manuals for the carts. I inserted a BASIC cart in one of the 6 cart slots just to show the size of the slots (BASIC cart is not included). Please see the pictures for condition. Please PM me with offers. I have a price in mind. If I don't get any offers in a week or so I will update this with a price. Thanks for looking!!! Cartridge not included.
  17. Please read and examine the pictures. Because I already have a copy of these manuals and because these are only in 'fair' condition I am asking only $10 plus the actual USPS Media Mail shipping cost (estimated to be $14) so $24 and it's yours. I detect no mold, mildew or water/moisture damage and no smoke. The only issue is many of the pages have been torn/ripped at the punch holes. I have a well used complete: 'De Rie Atari' set which really includes 4 separate manuals: De Rie Atari (one of the earliest and still one of the best guides to the 400/800), Operating System User's Manual (super in-depth information), Operating System Source Listing (the actual source code listing of the original 400/800 OS) and Hardware Manual (which includes 400 and 800 hardware schematics). and also a Atari 400/800 BASIC Reference Manual. I confirmed that all the pages are present and in the correct order (comparing it to another copy I have). However, many of the pages have been torn/ripped at the punch holes. As many as 10% or more of the pages. With some TLC, tape and ring protectors (if they still make them) you could fix them up. OR use them as-is. This material has likely been scanned by now however, if you are like me you like having the hard copy to work with. It will ship with the 3X 3-ring binders that I found them in.

  19. people opened this topic to find out if it is possible to compile the unocart for other stm? because the current one is 500 usd 10 pieces and disappeared from the market. and said it’s out of stock stm32g STM32H750 whit en.TrueSTUDIO_V9.3.exe is possible?
  20. I mostly play my Atari games on Stella with by Hyperkin Trooper, or on Harmony Cartridge on the 1981 console I've had for 40 years, but I have a modest physical collection that makes me happy to have. And this is how I organize my digital collection...
  21. I’ve had this absolute unit for about ten years now, believe it or not but I got everything pictured and more for 40$ from a dude with no arms and legs having a garage sale out of his mobile home in Clearwater, Florida. Damned good times!
  22. Hello to all, In a video on the YouTube channel of "8-bit show and tell" Glitch World In Commodore 64 Ninja - YouTube I discovered a floppy disk version of Ninja (Mastertronics) where the Atari and Commodore versions are on the same side of the disk. Floppy disks with Atari on one side and Commodore on the other side are very common. But I don't understand at all how to fit two versions for two very different computers on the same side of a floppy disk... Can someone explain to me how this is possible? I don't know anything about the Commodore floppy disk format, but I doubt that it is organized like the Atari one. Apart from the fact that they share the physical format 5"1/4 and 48 TPI, the rest must be very different, right? Or is it a common formatting that can be read on both? I'm really curious to know the answer. Thanks in advance,
  23. Just wondering if anyone has any big plans for Atari's 50th birthday coming up in a little over a year now.. Hopefully this pandemic will have died down by then and we can start having some kind of celebrations. I'm thinking parties, parades, all-day gaming, etc. Is anyone planning anything big on the west coast? Dan
