First things first: I am not acquainted nor familiar with the ST series of computers but will do my best to answer any questions. "Working condition" means that I connected this system to a monitor (SC1224) and mouse and external floppy drive (to access sysinfo for screenshots), powered on the system and arrived at the desktop GUI. 1-Meg Atari 520ST, working REHOMED $145, plus shipping. (UPS or FedEX / Origin ZIP: 48857 / Weight: 14 lbs including packing materials) PayPal accepted, Friends & Family as I am not a business. Please review all included photos as to physical condition of the unit. Notes: The electrical tape was there when I adopted this a couple years ago. I assume the modder who upgraded the memory? Someone more familiar with this line of computers would know, I'm hoping.

"Working condition" means that I connected this system to a monitor (SC1224) and mouse, powered on the system and arrived at the desktop GUI. Atari 1040STf, working $175, plus shipping. Please review all included photos as to physical condition of the unit. Notes: The second photo below provides better demonstration that three caps have been replaced on the keyboard (lighter in color, so I am guessing replacements). Boots to TOS, no other tasks carried out with it, sorry. Also, left panel has yellowing discoloration.

First things first: I am not acquainted nor familiar with the ST series of computers but will do my best to answer any questions. "Working condition" means that I connected this system to a monitor (SC1224) and mouse, powered on the system and arrived at the desktop GUI. German Atari 1040STfm, working $175, plus shipping. (UPS or FedEX / Origin ZIP: 48857 / Weight: 16 lbs including packing materials) PayPal accepted, Friends & Family as I am not a business. Please review all included photos as to physical condition of the unit. Notes: This case arrived damaged due to poor packing from previous owner, as evidenced in included photos. I can't be certain now because it's been a couple years since I adopted this unit-- but I'm pretty sure I swapped out the 240V power supply with a 120V version. Case could use some cleaning, too.

First things first: I am not acquainted nor familiar with the ST series of computers but will do my best to answer any questions. "non-working condition" means that I connected this system to a monitor (SC1224) and mouse, powered on the system and arrived at the desktop GUI with a garbled display (see included screenshot). Atari 520ST, non-working $75, plus shipping. (UPS or FedEX / Origin ZIP: 48857 / Weight: 14 lbs including packing materials) PayPal accepted, Friends & Family as I am not a business. Please review all included photos as to physical condition of the unit. Notes: Beyond seeing the garbled display, I didn't check anything else on this unit. There is damage at the front right corner, however, evidenced in the last two pictures.

Hey all, I have had a few threads here on my retro consoles that I am trying to setup. I was about to stick with US standard of S-video with everything possible but, as I am leaning towards a Framemeister for my setup, this opens the door to RGB and can upscale/line double up to 480p over HDMI, this is claimed to be one of the best pictures you can get from Retro consoles. This thread is not for comparing the Framemeister vs. the OSSC. I still will have some consoles that have S-video and will leave them like that for reasons. The OSSC cant do S-video with out a converter of some type, that I don't want to deal with. So the Framemeister looks like my winner here. This brings up another issue. SCART switching. It's been a long quest for a lot of people. For 8 or more, you only have a few options and the price seems to sky rocket from there. If I am going this route, I need to go all in, as much as possible within affordable range (not going tp spend $400+ for switching). My setup is going to contain 20 retro consoles from the Wii back. HDMI devices will be treated differently (and thinking about starting a YouTube channel on this subject). This could have more than 8 RGB type consoles. Also if S-video and Composite is treated natively with SCART (as I have read) with no conversion, running the switch into a SCART port on the switch could simplify things a little. What I would like is Auto switching but, would love and PREFER a IR override with it. IR gives me what I really want is to force control the change in a automated setup via remote. Something I really want and pretty much need. So looking for options... and see what others are using. This is the larger ones I have found... gRetrostuf - gscartsw 8:2 about $220.. http://www.gretrostuff.com/store/gscartsw/ Over all good quality from reviews. No IR control but, auto should do. Can be daisy chained but, to get 15, it's going to cost $440+ shipping. Big cost. Lotharek - Hydra series. https://lotharek.pl/products.php?id=35 A selection of sizes... 8 to 16 (OMG !) switchers.. Kind of eyeing the W-Hydra 2. It's 16:2 that does everything. INCLUDING IR control (something that seems hard to find). Price is not too crazy compared to other options 999.00 PLN or about $264.43 US. A little pricey but, for what it offers, I don't know of anything else that could fill the bill. I don't know much about this W-Hydra 2, anyone use their series of switches ? Any good or bad on them ? What are others using ? Anyone using MORE than 8 devices that can do SCART ? This is the type of thing I am losing sleep over so I wanted to start a MODERN discussion on options or MODERN switchers..

I had just done a McWill update and everything was working great. It ran fine for a few hours and a few on/off cycles, then I couldn't turn the Lynx on. I assumed the MOSFET has failed, ordered a couple, put it in and then POP, TP18 blew up real good! Perhaps I didn't purchase the right MOSFET, or just a coincidence? This is the MOSFET I ordered from Digikey: NDT2955CT-ND NDT2955 MOSFET P-CH 60V 2.5A SOT-223-4 Assuming nothing else blew and I have the right part, I've heard there was a zener diode I should be replacing as well, but I don't know which one or it's value. I, of course, need to replace TP18 -- what part is that? Thanks in advance to you all.

I have a 2600 jr motherboard that i broke while trying to update a AV mod i did to it. it still outputs a video signal, although in black and white, and it seems to not want to sync with the TV. also there is no sound, due to a broken Capactor. I live in canada, so US shipping is probably going to be a little more (like 12 bucks us for international) I want $10 for the board. You can make an offer if you want to, although i'm trying to make up for having to buy another one. Also if there is any good AV mods for the JR that are not to complex let me know.

Hi everybody. I've got an Atari 400 with a keyboard that doesn't register 2,W,S,X, and Shift. I already swapped the 4051 and POKEY chip with known working ones so that isn't the issue. I did plug in a fully working keyboard from another unit and it worked fine in it. I was looking through old threads and found recommendations for myatari.com. It looks like the site is down for maintenance though. I'm not sure how long that has been offline. Does anybody here know if these are available anywhere else? Thanks guys. You've been a great help to me.

Hello all! I'm looking for an Atari STE: either a 520, 1040, or Mega. I'd need it in excellent working condition, except for the floppy drive (and, in the case of the Mega, the hard drive), which I can replace using parts from other systems that I have. (Physical condition isn't as important to me, so we can talk about that ) I'd prefer a U.S. system, but I might also consider a U.K. system. I'll also consider other regions, if I can easily swap in a U.S. or U.K. TOS. (In the case of the Mega, a corresponding keyboard would be a bonus, but is not required.) Must be willing to ship to the U.S. (specifically, zip code 65721), since that's where I'm at If anyone's interested, feel free to post in here, or send me a PM. Thanks!

So here we are in the final! It was an action-packed semi-final where we saw two great bouts. The finalists are: Enduro (Activision) vs Super Football (Atari) Both finalists had to deal with some tough opposition, especially in the later rounds. Enduro had to deal with a preliminary round and there was quite the discontent that such an illustrious title had to even qualify for this tournament. Going against one of its predecessors, Night Driver, proved to be a good warm-up for Enduro. It went into that bout confidently, but overly so. Next it faced a favourite of this announcer, Realsports Soccer and it really never stood much of a change when all aspect were considered. In the round of 16, it had to face its first heavyweight challenger, Winter Games. Although WG put up a great battle, Enduro prevailed yet again. In the quarter-final it faced a title contender that some would have expected to win the tournament, but eventually California Games was defeated as well. In the semi-final we saw a great battle against My Golf which arguably was the surprise package of the tournament. In the other bracket, Super Football may have had an easier path which was also loaded with great competition. In the first round, it went up with one of its fellow football games, Super Challenge Football. A good bout, but Super Football proved to be superior very quickly. The round of sixteen it faced a solid opponent in Summer Games which was a great spectacle. The quarter-final saw an all-Atari battle against Track&Field which was beat surprising some people. The semi-final gave us a preview as to how it may fare against racing opposition by facing another Atari title with Pole Position. This was a great bout which proved that perhaps Pole Position may have over-extended itself. So let's start with our final bout for the best sports game on the Atari 2600: Enduro (Activision) vs Super Football (Atari) !!! Enduro starts on the offensive right away. This is a game that any casual player can pick up quickly and get the basics right away. Good control, turning left and right, and a nice linear acceleration with the firebutton. Super Football takes a bit longer to pick; this is certainly a game targeted to the hardcore football fan or someone interested. Reading the manual is a must, as the various plays are listed. The graphics in Enduro are clean and simple, while Super Football brings in that unique POV that you won't see in any other game. Enduro works well within the limitations of the Atari VCS, while Super Football takes advantage of the later generation offerings with a large game with more detailed graphics and a lot of the tricks that render flickering minimal with so many objects on the screen. Sound-wise neither game is stellar, as simple sound effects with the exception of the crowd roar when a touchdown is scored being significant. Enduro's availability spanned pretty much the main lifetime of the 2600, while Super Football as 1989 offering found a home in a lot fewer households. Ultimately, the question is again, which one is more fun. In this case Enduro excels in its playability and pummels Super Football. Our champion by a 3rd round KO: ENDURO!!!! So the best sports game on the Atari 2600 is Enduro! Not many will be shocked as it indeed one of the finest games on the console and pretty much a mainstay on everyone's top 10 list. It would be interesting to see how Enduro would have fared against other titles. Could another title like Pole Position, Decathlon, Realsports Tennis, Realsports Volleyball or Track&Field provide a different challenge that would have beat Enduro? Perhaps one day we'll try a different tournament with different pairings.
