I'm working on a project called Bubsy Pilo Reanimated 2020 The main person on this project is Xinny The Caracal and many animators are working on this project. Including me. I'm working on 5 scenes: Scene 21,50,55,99 and 154. I'm close to finish all of them, except scene 99. If you wanna see the the finished scenes, go ahead. But we still need some more animators to join on this project, because we still have a lot of scenes to finish it. I just hope that more people joins in and help us finish our project. It will be revealed on Thanksgiving 2020.

So in the past we've talked about the Bubsy plush that the Accolade developers had as a promotional item during the development of Bubsy 1 and Bubsy II. And we talked about it in 2010, 2013, and this one and that one in 2019. At this time, ten known in the world to still exist. Earlier this year a Bubsy plush came up on ebay, which I went ahead and bought. A decade long dream come true. And today with all the #Stayhome things going on... ... I finally got around to the purpose I bought the Bubsy plush for in the first place: To study it and share my findings. Afterall, as the Dungeon Master once said in the D&D cartoon, "The man who knows and never tells is as good as the man who never knew." This morning I VERY roughly mapped a pattern for the Bubsy plush using frog tape. For those that don't know, frog tape is what you lay down to keep something from being painted. Just sticky enough to apply, but not so sticky that it can't be removed easily. Basically a post-it-note in tape form. And from that, I got the results that you see below. So if you wanted to try to assemble a Bubsy plush, well, this will point you in the right direction though I am no fashion designer. But this and the pictures of the plush I've included should give you a pretty good idea of what it looks like, and the scale of the plush. Cruizin' Discord - Bubsy Fan Comic Released! - November 2019
doctorclu posted a blog entry in Bubsy Bobcat Fan Blog
Xinny The Caracal Yesterday at 3:03 PM @everyone It is here! Welcome to the REAL 23rd Anniversary of Bubsy 3D! And also to the release of the fan made Bubsy comic, Bubsy: Cat-astrophic Capers! Featuring the works of Spongefox, Campa, GastroReid, woolietrash and myself, to name a few, it is a 16 page fun bit of work that took a few months before it's grand release! Just want to thank everyone who joined in on this. All of you are awesome, especially those who couldn't make it on time. It was a busy time of year, i will admit, especially since this was delayed from October 31st to now, but for the first community project of this Bubsy fan server, the fact we have 16 pages of comic is pretty good! We have one more comic that will be incoming as a bonus for this project by our Bubsy mascot and artist @Rusty-the-Bobcat , but that won't be for a while. For now though, we hope you all enjoy these short little comics, from one offs to strips to full pages, from many fans of the bobcat! Cruis'in Twitter - News before the announcement - March 2019
doctorclu posted a blog entry in Bubsy Bobcat Fan Blog
Interesting news for Bubsy on twitter... Here is one of the release of the new game and that it is coming out in May! (Gamestop had no info on this BTW when I had them check) BBS... the Bubsy Broadcasting System. I'm a fan of this since I have been calling BBSs Bulletin Board Systems) long before the internet. Since Bubsy is kinda stuck in the 90s this sorta fits.... And unrelated but still an interesting off topic... -

Cruis'in Twitter - 4 days left on the Kick Starter - March 2019
doctorclu posted a blog entry in Bubsy Bobcat Fan Blog
There are four days left on the Bubsy kickstarter to raise $25,000. So far the counter is at $16,204 Which is actually impressive when you do the math and realize Bubsy has 405 backers! To help with this Bubsy fan Rusty Everhart has doned the Bubsy costume for some promotional moments to advertise for the kickstarter: At the very least the kickstarter has shown that Bubsy does indeed have some dedicated followers. You can check out the kickstarter here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bubsy/bubsy-paws-on-fire-spicy-extras-

Good morning! So the news of the 6th Bubsy game "Paws on Fire" has stirred up some excitement on Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, and it is always fun to see the activity on Twitter. These are locations that Bubsy news sent out, Bubsy fans are talking, and "Bubsy" himself tends to show up from time to time. There are other places like Discord that I keep getting notifications from but I have no idea how to use. . There is the Bubsy Bobcat group on DeviantArt. There are also Bubsy conversations on the Steam Forums, And there are the conversations on the Playstation Network groups. We'll feature those to the bottom of this message thread. But first, here is the latest top ten on the Bubsy Woolies Strike Back Leaderboard: And, as a added bonus today, we have the latest Bubsy art from Bubsy Bobcat Fan Blog staffer, SpongeFox! Title of this picture is "Bubsy Supreme" So when on the Playstation Networks check out "Bubsy Bobcat" and "Bubsy Forever" ALSO, want to be a staffer of the Bubsy Bobcat Fan Blog? Bubsy fandom has grown since the release of Woolies Strikes Back last year and there is a lot to keep up with. Want to be a Bubsy reporter? Submit Bubsy Fan art? Even write articles and reviews about Bubsy? Or just want to give a heads up about a place to find more Bubsy? Just reply to this blog post or send me a PM. http://atariage.com/forums/blog/234/entry-15225-cruizin-psn-november-2018-fan-comments/ Here is some dialog from both.

The one year anniversary of "Bubsy:The Woolies Strike Back"
doctorclu posted a blog entry in Bubsy Bobcat Fan Blog
I wrote this to "Bubsy" on Twitter: So above all, not bad. A year later Bubsy is still $19.99 for a used copy, and $29.99 for a new copy at Game Stop. The leaderboards on Steam and Playstation are still active. Woolies Strike Back may be a relatively easy game to get through, most can get through in a little more than an hour; however, moving up in the leaderboards requires skills and tricks that take much longer. As any (good) game. Easy to learn, difficult to master. I think Woolies Strikes Back made for a game that learned from what people complained about. The shield shirt giving one hit is a great system around just giving Bubsy multiple hits (like in Bubsy 2). The Bubsy on Twitter has chimed in from time to time on National Smile Day, Mother's Day, and during the Olympics. Mostly ads, but there was one time where someone asked if the voice work in Bubsy games could be better and "Bubsy" took slight offense asking basically "Would an artist change a master piece?" (Agreed Bubsy, though we try not to look at George Lucas and "Star Wars: A New Hope.) Thought it was hilarious. A year ago I bought a Playstation 4 just for Bubsy, and competing on the leaderboards has had me jumping in every other day to squeeze out a few more points. Been fun. Bought Tempest 4000 on the PS4 and that game is quite amazing. Found that Golden Axe is in the Sega Genesis collection, and the Atari retro collection has a lot of fun games too. Not so sure about Raiden 5 looks too cartoony. But overall Bubsy sold me on the PS4 and I think it is, dare I say to my Atari 2600, Intellivision, and Jaguar... the PS4 is becoming my favorite system. I feel so dirty as a retro gamer. And where Fractured Furry Tales on the Jaguar was my favorite Bubsy game, Woolies Strikes Back has pulled ahead. Someone finally beat me in the Fractured Furry Tales speedrun this year (after ten years) and I almost don't care. Been hacking 2600 games, one of which being the Bubsy hack of "Fast Eddie",helping with the Bubsy Bobcat fan Wiki and yes, Woolies Strikes Back. That among the usual laundry list of life's challenges which praise God have been progressive and positive. So to BillionSoft/Accolade/Black Forest Games... thanks again for the latest installment of Bubsy. Made for a fun 2018 year! (And looking forward to the next Bubsy game!) - Doctor Clu http://atariage.com/forums/blog/234/entry-15170-the-one-year-anniversary-of-bubsythe-woolies-strike-back/-

This picture alone raises so many questions in the Bubsy story and wanted to other fan theories. The picture looks old, obviously a newspaper clipping. Was this an uncle of Bubsy or father? My guess is the father. In the Purrfect Edition Bubsy has the Indiana Jones look on the postcard. The Sean Connery looking bobcat in the picture would be his father if we go with the Indiana Jones theme. Any theories on this?

I was browsing on google a few weeks back, and I managed to snag a few gems. I'm not sure who uploaded the images, but I do know that Ken Macklin was the one who came up with these sketches. I'm sure that the BB fan blog will love these. I believe that this was one of the first sketches that Ken Macklin drew up. Bubsy seemed to be considered to be a dog at one point. This one is a little more well known, actually being published in a GamePro Magazine. It's a bit more simplistic, wearing hover shoes. Now this one is the most unique out of the three. He was also considered to be a girl at one point, according to this sketch. Fun Fact: This drawing actually inspired the character Oblivia, according to a source I've read. I'll post the link later... Now this last picture isn't a sketch, but a Bubsy 2 ad, according to the url. I'm not certain where or when this was uploaded, but the colors are pretty to look at... Keep in mind that I am not profiting nor claiming these images as my own. All material shown here belongs to their respectful owner(s).

Yeah. This was my first time ever drawing the bobcat. Can't remember if I used a reference or not... Looking back at it, at least for me, it's kinda hard to look at, because after two years of practice, and a couple of design changes, I can finally draw without using a reference. But seeing how I drew this while I was at least 14, and it was a first attempt, that's a little impressive. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, which means I will redo completely finished drawings if I'm not satisfied. I'll post my more recent drawings later...
