I have a ton of games mostly old school classic Atari INTV & CV Carts. My favorite way to display your collection is CD DVD Media tower and book cases with adjustable shelves. I am continually buying and reselling extras so the probably have 2000-3000 games. Here is some of the racks. They can get rearranged a bunch depending on which system I might be enjoying the most.

Our friend Bill (Loguidice) posted this over facebook So I though I would post the informations here http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=35350896&cp=&parentPage=search Seriously, what you think about the look of the system/controllers ? Compared to what they did with the atari and intellivision, I think the look is not super well done Obviously, that will not prevent me to buy one

So a friend asked me to look over his ColecoVision cause it stopped working correctly. Thoughts on what I should trouble shoot here from the picture and the fact there is no sound? Carts have been cleaned and worked in another system so really not sure where to go with this now. Suggestions are surely welcome here. Thanks

Hey all... I have three bad roller controller buttons. I opened up the case and cleaned the crap out of them with deoxit to no effect (that stuff saved my regular controller buttons for sure). Anybody have experience in this area?

Attached below is my latest update (v2.08) to the CV&ADAM Collector's Rarity List that I have been maintaining. This is a rather large update with numerous additions and corrections and I have detailed some of these in the list below: Removed some wrongly listed Epyx titles that I thought were available in "For ColecoVision" style as well as "For CV & ADAM" The Foreign Releases section has been reorganized and grouped by manufacturer instead of just alphabetically. This change makes this section a lot easier to read through. Added known TeleGames creations/releases of unreleased/prototype cartridges Added clones and expansion units for other systems to the ColecoVision System section... some of which may never have actually been released. Updated to included all the latest Homebrew releases and numerous corrections made Numerous new Homebrew sections added I still have further additions to make such as Coleco litertaure, press kits, paraphenalia, etc, after which time the list will be as complete as I can get it and further updates won't be as frequent. Concerning Ikrananka's PDF and Excel versions of the list, he is extremely busy at this time and may not be able to supply these for the forseable future. As always, if anyone notices any errors or missing items, please post the info here so as to shre with everyone. ColecoVision & ADAM Cartridge Collector Rarity List v2.08 (2012) (NIAD).rtf

Hi everyone, I'm Grazi, from OpcodeGames. Recently I was asked to create some boxes for older prototype games from Opcode, and I was wondering if more people would have the same interest. In case you guys do, I could make something like the new Opcode prototypes packaging: a nice illustration, a cover, label and a plastic case with insert foam, so your exclusive games could look even better and protected in your shelf. Ed used to make 5 copies of each game and he did about a dozen different games, so if you are one of the luck poeple who grabed one of these copies (any game) and you have interest to have a nice packaging for you prototype please contact me. If you do not have a prototype but wanna a cool packaging for your game (whatever game) created exclusively for you you can also contact me I'm available for any graphic designer services. Here are some samples of my work in the retrogaming world:

I don't really expect a completely satisfying explanation, but I thought I'd ask anyway on the off-chance someone knows... I seem to have multiple cartridges labeled Wing War that each contain Moonsweeper circuit boards. One I would consider a fluke, but a few with identical replacement raises the question of whether there was production mix-up from back in the day with regard to this particular Imagic title. Anyone else run across this curiosity or know anything about the source of my confusion here? These are legitimate, production-run Imagic Wing War labeled cartridges from multiple, independent origins with no signs of label tampering or replacement. I never took time to notice the issue given the degree of wear to the labels, and so, my prior lack of interest in scrutinizing them.

Just curious. My own opinion is that although I think it might inspire a few original and intriguing homebrews or hacks of existing shooters or allow realistic ports of shooter arcade games, I believe there is exactly one light gun homebrew for the atari 2600/7800/8-bit line-up (Bobby Needs Food), so it would probably be futile. But, perhaps there is more interest than is perceived. So, I guess I am leaning slightly towards the 4th choice versus the 3rd choice.

It has been a while since we last posted any news here. Time for some progress updates: SGM 4th run: after some delays, we are almost ready to the start pre-orders for the 4th run of Super Game Module. Please check your emails this weekend as we will be sending a newsletter announcing when the pre-order is open. Packaging will be the same as the 3rd run, but this time around we will be offering a new case color option. In addition to the regular black case, you will also be able to select “clear black” when pre-ordering. Please stay tuned. UPDATE: Pre-order is now open!! https://atariage.com/store/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1066 Pac-Man DX and Donkey Kong: we have Pac-Man DX scheduled to release along the SGM 4th run, with Donkey Kong following later this year. As we shared last year, boxes have been already printed, so we are expecting a far shorter turnover this time around. Penguin Adventure: we are investigating the issue a few people are experiencing with the game. It seems the game will reset on a few ColecoVisions, and we have one of those problematic ColecoVisions coming our way. That will make troubleshooting the problem a lot easier, since we couldn’t reproduce the resets with any of our ColecoVisions. We will keep you posted. Project Prometheus: the design for the first Prometheus board is now complete, and next step is to actually build the prototype(s). However we are running short of money, as we must pay for both parts and the development team, and this phase of the project alone should run over $5,000. In order to finance continued development, we will be selling a few limited collector’s edition games during the next couple of months. First such game is Mouser, a port of a little known arcade game created by UPL in 1983. Mouser is a platform game similar to Donkey Kong in many ways, where you must rescue your cat girlfriend that has been kidnaped by pesky mice. The game has 3 different screens. Only 10 copies will be made available, each copy will be numbered and come in cartridge format with a nicely designed color label by Grazi. Please contact us if you would like to purchase a copy and help us (info@opcodegames.com).

I have decided no longer pursue this. I have more important things to do than waste my time disputing a name. At this point I have the support that matters, and that is the support from this community, I am not a company, I don't have or look for global domination, I am just a fucking homebrewer for a very niche community. I started doing this because I love what I do and thought others would appreciate too, not to fight legal battles. Let them have their name. We have our community, I have the community support and I will keep doing my games. As for them, I hope they find their public too. Thanks, Eduardo

I've been working on the Tron Light Cycles game basically because Toby at Collectorvision asked me if I was willing to work on it. This is a game I've always wanted to make and now that I've gotten the hard part out of the way, it's safe to say it is going to happen. I've been working on this project for under a week at this point and I've run into some issues that I need answered by the Colecovision community. You see, the arcade version's screen seems to have had a larger vertical play area than what the CV seems to have. I want to make the game look as close to the original as I can, but I don't want to sacrifice making the board too small. Here are some examples of what I'm talking about. Here are 3 layouts I've created. Layout 1 (Most similar to the way the Arcade looks) Layout 2 (More room and 2 lines of text at the top) Layout 3 (Most possible room and 1 line of text at the top) Understand, I can make an ARCADE mode and a Coleco or Advanced mode that will be larger and could have more areas to choose from than just the 1 from the Arcade. Regardless of the choices, I'm still planning to have an Advanced mode that will have more obstacles, areas, and perhaps powerups of some kind. Please let me know how you guys want me to go about this. Choices: A. Arcade mode use Layout 1, Advanced mode use Layout 2. B. Arcade mode use Layout 1, Advanced mode use Layout 3. C. Arcade and Advanced mode use Layout 2. D. Arcade and Advanced mode use Layout 3. E. Other ideas. This game will have the option to play 1P vs 2P or 1P vs CPU.

so i have been thinking about this and was looking as one does, and i came across this on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AC-DC-5V-1A-1000mA-Power-Supply-Buck-Converter-Step-Down-Module-Small-Size-/191879043673?hash=item2cace1da59:g:tpUAAOSweW5VeVqx I did try and do something similar with a hefty heatsink and a load of voltage regulators and capacitors once but I got some image distortion during my tests so abandoned that idea, what I want to know if anyone can help is would this deliver power clean enough to run a Colecovision without any image distortion it maybe worth getting one just to try at that price but wanted to see what others thought first

Is it true that 20th Century-Fox Video Games had planned to release Spacemaster X7 for the ColecoVision in 1983-84, before the video game crash took hold? Whether or not that's true, I would love to see you program a ColecoVision version of this Atari 2600 game. Sample gameplay video: ~Ben

Hello, Looking to trade my Atari 5200 copy of Super Pac-Man for another homebrew. I'm specifically interested in Coleco homebrews but will consider interesting Atari homebrews as well. Things like Moon Patrol, Scramble, Space Duel, Beef Drop, or Jr. Pac-Man is what I'm eyeing. Thanks

Here's a glitch I happened to exploit while playing Mr. Do! on ColecoVision (ColEm emulator): I was on scene 4, and the last Alphamonster I needed to go after was the "E" one to spell out "EXTRA" for getting an extra life. But just as I was about to power ball him, a blue Muncher suddenly dropped an apple down my path, crushing not only the Alphamonster, but also me and a Badguy. However, instead of going to the green Extra Life award screen, I instead lost my present life, and after game play resumed, all the letters in the word "EXTRA" became red! This means no Alphamonsters and thus no further opportunities for getting extra lives unless you reset your game! A screenshot of my experience is seen below for you. Have any of you tried this glitch at least once? ~Ben

MINI-ARCADES: Ok. We get it. Atari Age users are the gurus at Hardware and Emulation. Everyone is asking for the Minis. We do need your help. Our goal is to create a Mini that is similar in size and quality as the mini's from the 80s. The goal here would be to have each mini focus on one featured game (for EXAMPLE only: Say its Ms. Pac Man on one unit, Donkey Kong on another etc.), then each unit may have a few other games on the system as well, but they would not be featured on the side stickers, and only mentioned on the box art. Please feel free to give your opinion on the technical specification of the Mini's that you would suggest. Screen type and size, emulators, hardware, platform or any other specs that you think we should consider. The more specific the better. LET'S do this as a team!... Keep in mind that we would like to keep the quality of the plastic high as well as having a mid range quality on the guts of the machine. BUT, at the same time, we would need to be able to have a retail price point that consumers would be interested in. (And while we are at it, you may as well give us an idea of what you would expect to pay for a mini). Any other advice would be appreciated. This is out first thread, and we are hoping to keep up with responses the best that we can! You can also give your opinion on the same topic on our facebook page.

I'm getting a Colecovision soon, without a power supply. These things are a nightmare, as you know - they have an obsolete plug and also supply the unit with +5, +12 and -5v dc. My question is this - Can the Colecovision be modded to a common 2.1mm barrel plug to take a 12vdc supply - powering a 7905 -5v reg and a 7805 +5v reg? Thus, giving the machine it's 12v, 5v and -5v supplies? I would also use some big custom heat sinks or Traco switching voltage regulators to keep the heat down inside the machine.

Dear expert and knowledgeable members of this forum, I request your for assistance in diagnosis of the illness my colecovision is suffering from. I hope it can be rescued from going into the recycle bin,. The logic of my system seems to working fine but the picture is scrambled. Reading games, etc. However, please see pictures attached as description of the problem, I am getting characters and odd colors..... I will be grateful about any guidance on the root cause of this problem and its potential solutions. I have already cleaned the power button. I do think that is the problem. Also power supply is working fine, tested. Thank you very much in advance for your assistance.
