Hello. Here’s a video I made about Ghosts ‘N Goblins put out by CollectorVision which I recently got in my experience club. It’s a fantastic port of a very cool game.

L'Abbaye des Morts 2019 Collectorvision for ColecoVision. A platformer that plays like Montezuma's Revenge. A lot of time needs to be put into this in order to learn where to go, when & where to jump, and what to do in general. Nice box art, cart, and manual. The game itself is enjoyable but a real challenge. ?

Here's a video I made of The Official Space Fury by Sega played on my CollectorVision Phoenix! I never saw this in the arcade but played a ton of this as a kid. It's an exclusive port to the system although there is a Vectrex homebrew called Space Frenzy. I would love to see CollectorVision, Opcode Games, or Team Pixelboy do an updated arcade port of this!

There's a space theme on Instagram this week and I shared The Official Space Fury by Sega from 1982 seen here with my CollectorVision Phoenix. Played this game a ton as a kid and it's still great today. It's similar to Asteroids only you're shooting at these geometric shapes that merge together to form one big object. You can also choose three different upgrades after the first few levels. This copy is sealed since I have a loose cartridge. Check out that before and after discount price on the tag!

Star Wars the Arcade Game for ColecoVision played on my CollectorVision Phoenix. And a Micro Machines Rancor. Excellent game for ColecoVision, in the arcade, and the Arcade 1Up machine. We need more games with vector graphics. May the 4th be with you, always.

Q*bert for ColecoVision played on a CollectorVision Phoenix in HD! I played this in arcades as a kid but never really had the patience for it. I appreciate it more as an adult although the game play can still leave you a bit disoriented. But it's still a really cool game and this is the best port of it.

First off I want to thank everyone who has helped back and spread the message about this project. When the initial goal was set, we didn't anticipate the larger number of higher reward level backers. After reviewing our finances and updating our projections based on the current backing from the kickstarter, we will be moving forward with Plan B. We are going to move to a standard Pre-order through the CollectorVision website. By doing the direct pre-order through the website, we will be able to maintain the original timelines for the project. This will also allow us to accept Paypal, which a lot of people have asked for and prevented them from backing the kickstarter. The original timelines from the kickstarter are the same with a March timeframe for Early Access and a June/July timeframe for the rest. The pre-order is available now at: https://collectorvision.com/shop/colecovision/collectorvision-phoenix/ https://collectorvisionphoenix.com should also take you there as well If you have any questions feel free to ask. Thanks, Brian

The kickstarter for the CollectorVision Phoenix is now live. This is a 3d printed prototype. Kickstarter versions would be injection molded. The CollectorVision Phoenix rises from the ashes and brings back the classic ColecoVision console for Modern TVs. Featuring 10 built in games, an exclusive game cart Sydney Hunter and the Caverns of Death, and SD cart slot, and more. Help support this project and spread the word by visiting https://www.kickstar...ecovision-conso This is an open source system so other cores will be possible in the future.

Considering the number of games marked as "discontinued" or "only a few left" on CollectorVision's web page...perhaps CollectorVision should consider selling roms of these games at a reasonable price so people who missed out on buying the cartridges can enjoy the games via emulation or on the AtariMax Ultimate SD Cart. I, for one, considering the vast number of ColecoVision games that are coming out these days, can't always afford to buy many of the cartridges when they are released. As such, are we to be forever excluded from obtaining or playing these games? It really makes no sense whatsoever to deny ColecoVision fans access to discontinued cartridge games.

Is it true that 20th Century-Fox Video Games had planned to release Spacemaster X7 for the ColecoVision in 1983-84, before the video game crash took hold? Whether or not that's true, I would love to see you program a ColecoVision version of this Atari 2600 game. Sample gameplay video: ~Ben

CollectorVision has acquired the trademarks and trade names for both Acclaim and Exidy. Why do this? We all grew up fans of both companies, and want an opportunity to revive the brands for future generations to continue to enjoy, like we did growing up. Sweet, does this mean that CollectorVision will be publishing both Acclaim and Exidy’s classic games, or releasing new sequels to these classic games? No, we don’t own the IP rights to the old games for either company, and only intend to use the names for select new games that we develop. But why not just use CollectorVision’s Games name? Why bother with reviving old trademarks that have been dead for so long? CollectorVision Games has been producing quality games since 2008 and we have built up a solid reputation in the gaming community. We still plan on releasing games under the CollectorVision Games name, and will only use Acclaim and Exidy’s names on select titles that we fill fit those brands. We want to make both brands proud. The quality of our games will speak for themselves no matter who the game is published under; Acclaim, Exidy or CollectorVision Games. We are simply reviving these brand names to pay homage to the company brands that we grew up having a great deal of respect for. Reviving old trademarks is nothing new and has been happening for decades. Game companies bring back other old gaming IP’s all the time from defuncted old game companies and revive those. In this case it’s no different, just CollectorVision is reviving a company name instead. If you guys have any questions, feel free to post here on AtariAge, and we’d be happy to answer them for you. Thanks, -The CollectorVision Games Team
