Sorry if this is a stupid question (or been ask before), but I'm looking to make an Atari 5200 controller with arcade controls. I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but I don't actually have an Atari 5200, but I thought it might be something I could sell to help collectors and people who like the 5200 games, since the 5200 controllers tend to break. I want to have an arcade joystick, arcade buttons, and an arcade trackball. If possible, I would like to be able to have wiring and connectors to use with the 2600 and 7800. Also a way to add paddle like controls and 2600 keyboard controls for 2600 games would be nice. I don't see something like this in the AtariAge store. Again, I'm sorry if I'm just an idiot on this subject. Finally, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question, but I'm new to AtariAge. Edit: I just wanted to make it clear that I'm not trying to advertise, I just trying to be open. Also, I wanted to do this mainly because there doesn't seem to be many, if any, after market 5200 controllers. Finally, if it is possible I wanted to add 2600 and 7800 controls because then it would almost be an all in one Atari controller (I would still be missing light gun features).

I'm currently working up a design for Berzerk. So tell me, what game would you like to see made into the next Atari Pro joystick?

I just found some pretty cool stuff in my parents basement. It's the last of my collection that I didn't have any idea that existed. I don't know what to say about it. The last time I used any of it was many many years ago. I'm taking offers. There can't be worth that much. So if you're interested shoot me a PM and we can work something out. I have the following: NES fourscore Playstation Dual Shock 2600 driving controller 2600 paddle controller x2 RF switch Suncom Tac-3 Goldstar 3D0 controller Sold R-Type for the Sega Master system Gone. Like I said earlier I haven't used these in many years. The last time I used these, they worked fine. I don't have a way of testing any of them. So I'm selling them as they are. Edit-I'm also up if someone has a copy of Nights for the Saturn if anyone has one available.

Hi All, Hoping someone can help me. I am trying to get a wireless 8BITDO controller working with jzintv on RetroPie with World Championship Baseball. I can use the keyboard and I can switch to the controller by toggling F7 - but I can only use the directional keys which are mapped to the keypad - but not the disc. That is, I can activate or throw to a player but can't move the player with the joystick. I know that my keyboard hackfile is working - the reset and power mappings work. For some reason the disc mappings do not work on this game alone. My hackfile is below. Any ideas? Other games are working fine. Hi everyone. Yesterday i was configuring my control settings in Virtual Jaguar but accidentally delete the default setting and now i cant enter the controller setting because the emulator crash and closes inmediately. The question is: Its any way to reset the settings? I cant find the configuration file of Virtual Jaguar anywhere. Thanks in advance. -
Hello everybody:) I just downloaded to latest version of Stella onto my laptop and got the ROMS for it. I was wondering if anybody had any joystick advice for me. The USB sticks that look like Atari knockoffs on Amazon have pitiful ratings. I'm surprised that their isn't more of a selection for vintage gaming enthusiast. I wanted to get two joysticks so my Wife and I could play together. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Scott

Not mine. This is Dan Kramer's legendary custom 3-Fire Button Trak-Ball Controller built in Atari Inc's Consumer Engineering Division. This was used for playing the in-house "3-Base Missile Command" game for Atari 8-bit computers. Dan and others built several custom Trak-Balls there that weren't meant for the public. This one was unveiled at the 2015 Davis Atari Party. -
I have several iterations of Guitar Hero and Rock Band for the 360 and I used to have three guitars and the Rock Band drumset, but I lost sight of them a couple of moves ago. I was hoping to find a pair of the controllers in working condition that are compatible with Guitar Hero 2/3/World Tour and Rock Band 1/2. -
Hello there! Working on a home arcade controller that will have compatibility for 2600, 7800 and Colecovision. I've tried looking around but can't find a definitive answer -- how essential are those 620ohm resistors? I'm mostly wondering if they're likely to cause any interruption in function (or other problems) if they are left in the circuit for 2600 and Colecovision operation, or left out? Just want to simplify the number of switches I'm using... the fewer the better. Thanks.

Hello there. I've used the search on the forum and didn't really see anything about this. I've recently picked up a Driving Controller. On the label instead of the word "driving" it has the Atari logo. I looked it up on ebay and in one listing the seller claims that this particular variant is rare and has it listed for 200 bucks! Now, does this guy just not know what he's talking about and just trying to find a sucker? Or is there any truth that this variant is all that uncommon? I've never really seen any of this label on the sold listings of ebay. Really this is the first Driving Controller I've ever seen for sale where I live. Thanks!

Hello all, If anyone is looking for a flashback controller adapter for the Intellivision model 2609 or similar version, I have some for sale. They are a little more expensive to make than the other adapter so I'll be charging $15 for one and $25 for two. Those prices are including shipping in the US. These adapters do require you to open you machine for installation but it's only 6 screws and then it's plug and play after that. Here are some pictures.

I recently bought an 8bitdo Retro Receiver (NES version) which allows 4 types of cordless controllers to work on the NES console: The Dual Shock 3, the Dual Shock 4, the Wii Remote, and the Wii U ProController. I decided to connect the Retro Receiver to a few other adapters that were made in the 80s to my 2600 and was surprised by the results. Hey guys! I've been playing with my CV a lot lately and recently got the game Nova Blast off of eBay. I cleaned and repaired everything on the CV a while ago including the controllers but just now found out that the ASTERISK (*) button on one of them doesn't seem to work. Nova Blast needs this button pressed to start the game. My question is, everything else (as far as I can tell) works on the keypad (even the # key) except the * button. Is there something I can do to locate the cause of the malfunction? In other words, I am not sure how 12 buttons on the keypad are translated into 1 or 2 wires that feed into the CV but it seems to me if all the buttons except this one work the problem may be with the ribbon cable? If so, is this something that can be repaired easily? Thanks, Larry

I have an Arcade-X controller that I picked up way back to try to enjoy Mame a little more. Wondering if there is a way via an adapter or something to hook it up to a 7800 or 2600? I have done some googling and I see mentions of PS / NeoGeo adapter. But no real definitive solutions. So I am coming to the pro's here at AA. I already have a PS2 adapter for Arcade-X to use with the different arcade flashback discs that came out. Has anyone else pulled this off? Is it possible?
