  1. Hey, So my friend wanted me to fix his atari 2600 Jr which has a broken reset switch. Is there a way to fix them/order a replacement part that would fix it? Thanks!
  2. Hello all, I'm a long time Atari fan. My parents bought an ATARI ST in the late 80s so I was thrilled when I saw the Atari Lynx and later Lynx 2- but of course I didn't get one... However, I always so much wanted a Lynx 2- so I was very much excited when I won an auction for a working unit a few days ago with a few games. I paid too much yes, but I really wanted one- so I was devastated when I switched it on to see this: Dots on Display So my question is... if it's fixable? They don't seem to be dead pixels as it depends on the viewing angle: Different viewing angle Also these marks can be seen when the unit is switched off: On switched off unit (opened it) I somehow expect the answer to be no , so is there any way to get an original screen? A mod with a Mcwill or Bennvenn is not an option to me, currently. I'm really sad about this issue as a lynx was my childhood dream. Yes, I talked to the seller and after some hassle I agreed for a small discount. Just not in the mood for arguing in these times. Thx for reading, Dan
  3. My Atari 800 computer started defective keyboard, some keys failed, to open the computer I realized that doubling the flat cable connected the keyboard to the motherboard, the keys that did not work before, returned to normal, the symptoms of flat cable was broken inside. http://www.gameplayerspecial.com/repairing-and-replacing-the-flat-cable-from-the-atari-800-computer-keyboard/ Thanks for visiting !
  4. Hey all! I'm new here and this is my first post - please be gentle! I bought an Atari 2600 Jr. from a bootsale for £15 (~$25) including some games, with the promise that it worked. I got it home, plugged it in, and it did... sort of. The image was what I expected from an old Atari, but it had blurred lines rolling up and down the screen intermittantly. However, once I tried to turn it on and play a couple of days later, nothing... No image at all. I know the concole itself is working (as the red LED light is shining), but no image is being sent to the TV itself. I have bought a new lead to connect to my TV, but still the same result. It is also worth noting that my console has no switch to change between channels 2-3 (I opened it up, but there looks like there was never space for the switch anyway), and so I have tried manually tuning the console to the TV, with the above results. So far, I have tried the following: 1) New coax lead 2) Opening and removing dust 3) Different TVs 4) Different games 5) Manual tuning Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! (I am fairly new to Atari fixing, so baby-language would be appreciated!) Frenzii
  5. Hello everybody, I recently bought a very nice pal (I'm from europe) atari 2600 woody six and all was well. But it has developed a slight problem,(after it got knocked off the table about 13 inch high)... the picture is in the wrong place on the tv screen...(and yes I know i'm an idiot :-) First i thought the rf tuner got knocked around but I've tried fine tunning and it doesn't get any better then this. My question is can i fix this or should i be looking out for a replacement console ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated ! Cheers
