Okay so I've been having problems with Steam with installing and updating games like Left 4 Dead and Garry's Mod so I ask Steam support for help what do they tell me they tell me on how to fix the problem like three or four times and I did still doesn't work so I ask them again they say the same thing over and over again still not working anyone have this kind of problem besides me? I know I'm supposed to be asking for help from Steam but they're not much help so if anyone up here can tell me how to fix the problem I'd appreciate it and all. If anyone needs more info on what my problem is with the installing/ updating then here it is. Everytime I try updating Garry's Mod it keeps saying Queued and I try different servires and etc. but that doesn't help one bit any ideas how I can fix it? Thanks

I know they're not exceptional, but I have a couple of Atari 2600 game lots on eBay. Mostly acquired from buying other lots or just extras that came with my Atari. I'm flexible, and seeing as they're not all in perfect condition, looking to sell them to someone who would enjoy playing them as much as I have. Don't be afraid to make offers / combinations; I've had a lot of good people deal with me lately, so I'm hoping to return the favor. Edit: Found some more games and posted them as one lot: http://www.ebay.com/itm/221896443524?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 I also have a few Colecovision games, some old PC games, and a couple Vic-20 games, but you can find those in my other items if need be.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQ4-YuTeEzM&feature=youtu.be Hey there! I wanted to show off my collection, small as it may be. I am constant searching flew markets, goodwills..you name it on the chance that they might have anything to do with Atari. I yammer on for a bit, but I say each game title that I currently own, and show off a couple extras that I've got. No one around me seems to be as gung-ho about Atari or will play any of these with me, haha so that's why I wanted to share it with all of you who share the Atari love. let me know what you think! (I also realize that I said 7200, instead of 7800 >.< ) Thanks!

There are many video games that have me laughing for their animations or sfx (sound effects). Paperboy (on NES) has some pretty funny animations in the game: a woman who chases you when you go by, a boy break-dancing on the sidewalk, a utility worker jack-hammering the sidewalk, etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vy0MLORukzA In DuckTales (NES), when you kill an enemy or pogo-stomp them, the sound effect is hilarious. What are some games that have certain animations or sounds in them that have you laughing? Discuss and post examples

I think we need a thread like the development thread for just the software we make. I have found it a 'hit or miss' when trying to keep up with the various games, apps, virtual-cartridges people are coming up with on this board. We could put the beta and completed versions on the thread. Be glad to monitor it. Just a thought.

So I was watching this video and I got to thinking two things: Would it be possible to retrofit an achievement engine to an A8 emulator; What achievements could we all think of to fit around classic A8 games? So for the first point, my immediate thought was that an optional achievement "overlay" if you will, could run on top of Altirra, watching RAM for certain in-game occurrences based on what was happening. An example would be watching the screen display for certain text displayed on certain conditions, such as Great American Road Race if you get stopped by the cops, or Pole Position qualifying in first place. But more fun than that, what would we name these achievements, from a comedy perspective like in the vid above? See if you can come up with fiveish for your favourite games! I'm no stand up comic, but here are my efforts: Great American Road Race: Long long way to go - Run out of gas just after passing a pump Pole Position: Road to nowhere - Fail to qualify so that you carry on driving after passing the finish line Dropzone: Refugees schmefugees - Kill all the scientists in a level Blue Max: Bugging out - Bomb your own hangar Henry's House: My name isn't Willy - Get squashed by a boot on the first level I'm sure you guys can come up with better ones!

Hi. I went ahead at full speed for IntyBASIC v0.9 with new powerful features to ease programming, in order to help to the many programmers that are using actively IntyBASIC: Cybearg, catsfolly, freeweed, atari2600land, Tarzilla, grips03 and many other people. (put a message in this thread if I missed you!) Most suggestions made it and some really needed features: Added ON [expr] GOTO/GOSUB statement (to alleviate the need for dozens of IF statements and it's faster!) STACK_CHECK statement to verify your code on the go for unwanted recursion (GOSUB without RETURN) INCLUDE statement to separate your code/graphics/music in different files (needed for bigger games!) DEFINE statement with expressions as parameters. (atari2600land suggestion) Fixed numbers and two fixed operators for playing with them (+. and -.) (GroovyBee suggestion) Multiplication and division operators optimized for constant 256. (intvnut suggestion) Remainder operator optimized for constants 32, 64, 128 and 256. Extra comments in manual for SOUND, MUSIC, MODE and DEFINE. (freeweed suggestion) IntyColor limited to 16 GRAM per block in order to support PLAY without modifications. Thanks everyone for using IntyBASIC, it feels great to contribute! Enjoy it! intybasic_compiler_v0.9.zip
