Hi everyone, as of this week, Assembloids 2600 is available in the AtariAge store. https://atariage.com/store/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1094 Thanks Albert! And also thanks for Thomas Jentzsch who published his savekey code which enabled us to support it for this game and all of its skill levels. I set up a simple score chart here: http://assembloids.de/scores.html and I will update it with incoming scores pasted to this thread (or other sources). Would be great to see what people reach. So far the highest scores I saw were from Sven the graphics artist who made the game with me and my wife (myself as well . During the German Gamescom last year we witnessed several people returning to our stand to improve their play. The attached file is an animated GIF from some shots during that event. I believe the highest skill levels pose a serious challenge to anyone (and quite possibly to your heart). Best wishes and thanks to all of you who helped getting this game done and out! Cheers, Martin

Hey guys, I've got question. I just got Galactopus from Al, and love it. Cool and addicting game. Anyway, I am always curious of what the high score/world record is of the games I play on Atari. I looked on Record Setter as well as conducted a Google search and found nothing about this game as far as any kind of record. Do any of you know if there has been a high score posted anywhere for this? Where else can I check? I'm new at this forum thing too, so hopefully I am using it right. Thanks!

Today I happened to stop into my local game store, and found among other fun new hardware a second dreamcast light gun. I was thinking about DC light gun games when it occurred to me that, thanks to my also having a Saturn racing wheel, and a saturn to dreamcast adapter which supports it, that I in fact had two light guns and a racing wheel. It also occurred to me that Dreamcast could run MAME, and had various ports to it through homebrew efforts. So my question is, can Lucky & Wild be played on a Dreamcast, using the system's own light guns and driving wheels? Given that the only machine I know for it is a 2 hour drive away from me (and needed repairs when I was last around), it would be swell to have it more easily played. I have a PC hooked up to my TV as well that should run it, but I figure I should ask here about the DC since I have all the requisite hardware (I would need to buy some PC light guns). I suppose I could also play on a Wii, but that's not quite the same as a real light gun for me. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing back.

Since I can't Sleep I figured I'd post the early beginnings of my next game, This game uses a variation on Bogax's movement code. There is an over head map.You move the cursor to where you want the Floaty Fin to go and press the button and he will move there. Have the Floaty Fin touch an island and screen will change to a side view where you control the Gizzle Wap. If you want to go back to the map screen, have the Gizzle Wap move to the Floaty Fin on the left side of the screen. The game is in a very early stage. You can't do too much. The Floaty Fin is a cross between a dolphin and an AC73 racing yacht. And the Gizzle Wap is the Gizzle Wap. I also have the Japanese equivalent of the NES advantage along with a bundle of loose carts. SOLD Scroll down for two CIB Intellivision homebrew carts and S-video Genesis 3, both available.

Dear all, I'm pleased to announce the availability of the first playable release of Ms Snake! my first homebrew game developed using Batari. It is a remake of the classic Snake. It is very simple and tested using Stella on Windows. Obviously is not finished, I'm working on: 1. Graphic of the Title and Game Over screens [DONE] 2. Scoring system [DONE] 3. A second element in the game logic (aka Red Spider) [REMOVED] It's my intention to complete the game before this Autumn. Meanwhile I would be very happy to receive your feedback and suggestions added v1.0 releases NTSC/PAL60 use Color/BW switch to change color palette PAL50 fixed version in this release: no more auto-biting in case or reverse direction restored old title screen with animation (Ms Snake closes eyes every 3 seconds) Thanks, Daniele ms-snake!.bas.bin ms-snake!-0.1-NTSC.bas.bin ms-snake!-0.2-NTSC-PAL60.bas.bin ms-snake.-1.0-PAL50.bas.bin ms-snake!-1.0-NTSC-PAL60.bas.bin

I'm curious to know how many joystick compatible Atari 2600 games out there that do not use the joystick at all, just the fire button. Off the top of my head, I can think of three homebrews currently in the AA store: Anyway I just built a single button controller (that's right, one button!). More info here: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/223203-do-you-use-a-homebrew-joystick-post-your-pics/?p=3628593 Anyone know of more games I can try out with this device?

I really want someone to make a port of Spy Hunter for Intellivision. I figure it would play just as great as Bump'n'Jump and isn't overly graphic heavy so it would still look good on the old system. Not sure how well the music would transfer over though. Used to love playing it in the arcade as a kid.

UPDATED 2016/09/06 With the community's help I've made good progress toward my Intellivision homebrew collection. I'm still looking for several NIB (New In Box or like new) Intellivision homebrew games at fair prices. Not looking to pay Ebay prices. Let's cut out the middle man and everyone will win, especially me. Would love to buy multiple items from same individual to save on shipping. Here's what I'm looking for: 4-Tris (all variants) Blix Game Factory Cartridge Kit Hover Bovver (Half Cut) League Of Light Lost Caves of KROZ (updated ROM and Prototype) Robot Rubble Spina the Bee (upgraded ROM) Wing War box ...If they originally came bagged then that's what I'm looking for, too. Thanks!

What do we struggle with the most when creating a new ColecoVision homebrew project? Of course, the answers depend on the person experience, the game idea, the tools and materials available, and so on. I would like this poll to show a full view of a game project from start to finish. Since a conversion doesn't worry about the game idea and most of its code and data, try to think about a ColecoVision project made from scratch and what is most troublesome in a full project. Let's exchange on this topic, give tips and tricks, perhaps find ways to reduce the bottleneck time parts. Maybe this can show where we should focus our effort on, even find or make some missing tools in our toolbox. Vote and reply why you voted that way! Let's begin our talk!

Hey folks! Thought it might be cool to link this one with you all - but the fine folks of Pond have released a new C64 platformer (as a free download) just in time for the holidays. Not had a chance to give it a proper whirl yet - but I'm hoping to once the holiday chaos settles down a bit. It's a free download (though they're also getting names for a limited physical run in the new year, if you want to do that, they've got instructions on the page) - so do go check it out on your hardware or emulator of choice! http://pondsoft.uk/bear.html

I'm currently trying to make a port of Sonic 3 and Knuckles, which is no easy task, but the Pico can handle what I have incredibly well! Well, I'll keep you guys updated!

If you're a fan of CoinOPS you know it's got one major downside; it's not easy to add unsupported, hacks, prototype or homebrew games to it. You can either name your game to one that is supported and deal with it being listed under the wrong name or you can use my CoinOPS Games List Editor. I wrote the CoinOPS Games List Editor so I could play some of the Atari 2600 homebrews featured on AtariAge on my Xbox. I've been using it for several months and it works as intended. I feel the program is now at a state that others can use it safely. The CoinOPS Games List Editor accomplishes its magic by editing the MAMEoX.xbe file shipped with CoinOPS. The program replaces a supported game chosen by the user with a desired game. Attached are the instructions for the CoinOPS Games List Editor. I encourage anyone running CoinOPS to take a look at the instructions to determine if this program could be of use to you. Since this program edits another program I wasn't sure whether it was okay to post it in the forum. ANTIVIRUS NOTE: Because of the functions the CoinOPS Games List Editor performs it is quite possible that you will receive an antivirus warning. There are no virus, spyware or malware components in this program. I listed some duplicate copies of homebrew games I have on eBay. All of these games are NIB, never been opened. The carts, manuals, etc in the pictures come from the opened version of each game I have. I'm not looking to flip them for a profit, just looking to get what I paid for them. Shipping is free but if you want multiples, I can probably drop a little bit off the cost. I will ship very carefully with lots of protection via USPS priority mail. I don't plan to ship internationally, sorry. http://www.ebay.com/sch/cvfanpage/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=
