  1. Ok, we have a Rarity guide covering the Games for the Atari systems, but what about the systems themselves, and for the accessories, like the controllers, keyboard add ons, the video jogger mat, etc.? has anyone thought about constructing a rarity guide around the accessories and hardware? I know it might be a bit more difficult, but I think we should have a "Atari Hardware & accessories Value guide". I mean, wouldn't you like to know how rare that All-Black 2600 JR is, or if you have a super rare Controller? what about your amiga joyboard? And how rare is that "Sunnyvale Heavy sixer"? I know we have talked alot about how rare a console or controller is, but wouldn't it be nice to have it registered and numbered on a scale like we do with the games? I know I would!
  2. Does any know if the upcoming release of the ataribox will have SD card combatability? what atari consoles might it emulate? my hope is it will cover every Atari system ever created as well as every game released for its systems.
  3. Please enjoy my 2nd Jag review for Arcade Attack. This time I look at the awesome Tempest 2000: http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/tempest-2000-jaguar/ Best game on the console? Kind Regards Adrian
  4. Hi all... VERY VERY long shot here, but i'm looking to put some of my systems away and want to get the boxes they originally came in. I'm looking for... SNES (Gen 1) - FOUND!!! Genesis (Gen 2) 32X Dreamcast Jaguar Atari STFM or E PS1 (Gen 1) PS2 - FOUND!!! Cardboard or styro inserts would be a huge plus, manuals and other media not important. Really hoping someone can help! Thanks for reading!!!
  5. Dear all, please check out a recent, truthful and insightful interview with Atari Jaguar legend B.J. West: http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/bj-west/ I have also recorded a special Atari Jaguar CD podcast for Arcade Attack where I discuss the ill-fated peripheral, why it failed and whether Black Ice/White Noise could have helped save the Jaguar and even Atari! Please give it a listen if you get a chance: http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/podcast-july-2-2017/ Kind Regards @Arcade_Adriano
  6. I tried the MK-1602-1 Genesis power adapter on my Jaguar, which worked at first. My Jaguar turned on, even though it red screened, but when I kept trying different games in it to see if it would work, it started not turning on sometimes. I had to try turning it on a few times before it came on, and now it doesn't turn on at all, no matter what game is in it. What could cause that? I'll take it apart and look at it, but I wanted to ask experienced Jaguar hackers here first, what I should look for. If it's relevenant: One thing I noticed during the red screens was that when I pressed buttons on the controller, it caused interference on the tv. I was using a SNES/Genesis RF adapter. I just now thought of this seconds before posting the topic, but I checked the voltage of the power adapter, and although it says it's 10V, my multimeter is showing 13.5V! This seems WAY out of any sensible tolerance range, unless their tolerance is +/- 35% LOL! Anyway, I just found a topic saying that a good cartridge connection is required for the system to power on, so I'll try that, but like I said, it worked, then sometimes worked, now doesn't work. Edit: Great news, it was just a case of dirty cartridges!
  7. I have an Atari Jaguar, but lost the power adapter a long time ago. I've seen people saying the first-gen Genesis power adapter works for the Jaguar, but what about the MK-1602-1 adapter? It's intended for the first-gen Genesis, which requires 9V and 1.2A, but the adapter is 10V and 1.2A. I don't know why they made it 1 volt more, but it's meant for a system that requires 9V, so would it work for the Jaguar? From pictures people have posted, it looks like the same company might have made the same power adapter for multiple companies.
  8. I purchased an S-Video cable from a UK seller on ebay. He thought it would work fine. It displays only in black and white and no sound. I found a thread on your forums from Google search, but it was really old which is why I'm starting a new one. In that conversation people were talking about faulty boards, soldering fixes etc, but also someone pointed out that a UK cord wouldn't work properly on NTSC system. Is that all it is? Wrong S-Video cable? If so do you all know where I can pick up an NTSC Jaguar S-Video cable?
  9. Just wanted to make a post in which I can share my channel with others. I cover a ton classic consoles, oddball items, as well as newer games. Come check it out! https://www.youtube.com/user/swlovinist
  10. I've been working through my closet, selling off my old video game stuff that I don't look at or hook up to play anymore for the last several weeks on ebay and I'm coming up to my Jaguar collection, which is perhaps the jewel of my gaming collection. Jaguar didn't have a very large catalog, so 15 years ago I was quite serious about trying to collect every single game, and got quite close. There's a few rarities I know I'm missing (Air Cars comes to mind) but I have a copy of almost every game and some of the earlier demos, including really special ones like the BattleSpheres, Protectors, and Scatboxes. I know about how much money it took about 15 years ago and so fully expect to make my money back. What I'm not sure is how much. I would greatly prefer to sell this all as one set, because its easier to sell one big lot than piecemeal and because I'll feel like my effort to collect all of it will be retained by the next owner. (Great opportunity to go from zero to hero in one purchase!) Although if no one makes a serious offer (i.e., exceeding my original investment) I will instead consider breaking it up and selling the rares to those that want them with the rest going to ebay. Note that none of this has been tested in 14 or 15 years, but I intend to test everything over the next week or so. Send me a private message if you're interested in making an offer. I'd very much like to give a serious collector first shot at these because I suspect one of you reading this would appreciate it more than the average ebay bidder. Even if you're not interested but have an idea about how much someone should pay for all of this, I would appreciate that, too. Should no one step up here I'll sell it on ebay and would appreciate some insight into current value. I realize I don't have any history here but to prove this is a legit sale see the picture below or checkout my ongoing ebay game sales. I hope these are enough to prove I'm not a fake. I am based in USA. I can ship internationally. Be aware that a set this large (3 full sized boxes) is going to be quite large and heavy. PayPal is an accepted form of payment for me, but given the large value of this set I would happily take a check or postal money order. I also have a Jaguar and Jaguar CD in boxes that aren't pictured. I figured those were regular fare and might just go to ebay where the common fish can fight over them. 11. Gently used Atari Jaguar CD complete in box (box has minor damage to top) for $400 plus shipping. Will also consider trade for Wii U 32 gig complete set. Pics available upon request.
  12. Hi everyone. Yesterday i was configuring my control settings in Virtual Jaguar but accidentally delete the default setting and now i cant enter the controller setting because the emulator crash and closes inmediately. The question is: Its any way to reset the settings? I cant find the configuration file of Virtual Jaguar anywhere. Thanks in advance.
  13. Hiya! So I'm looking for a functional Atari Jaguar Pro Controller... don't need the box or anything intended for display. I'm looking to spend about $150. I know that's somewhat less than ebay prices on them lately, but that's what I have for a budget and I don't need a box, so I thought I'd give this a try. PM or reply if you got one for sale... or if you'd like to trade instead, let me know what your are looking for, like what system you are interested in or something. I have some unusual stuff for a variety of consoles anywhere between 2600 and Wii, and while my collection is not exactly extensive, whatever you are looking for might be something I happen to have... who knows? -CaptainBreakout
  14. I've had my eye on a Jaguar for a good year or so, long enough that it wouldn't be an impulse purchase, and the misses finally gave me the go ahead to take the plunge on it so it's time for a Wanted thread I think! What I'm looking for is a nice condition Atari Jaguar system, and by "nice" I mean no scratches on the top of the system and all 4 rubber feet on the bottom intact. Price wise I'm looking to spend about $180 for a good looking system with an original power supply, equally nice condition controller, composite video cables, and an inexpensive decent quality game or two included (Iron Soldier or Cybermorph, Ruiner Pinball, Zoop, etc). I don't mind buying a system without composite video cables though, I'd just have to lower my offer by $30 since I would need to buy the composite cables separately. I could also add in a little extra for the inclusion of a pricier game that's high up on my wants list like Alien vs. Predator, Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, or Raiden. Thank you for taking the time to view my wanted ad and feel free to shoot me a PM if you happen to have a Jaguar in the condition I'm looking for and are interested in selling.

  17. In case anyone who in interested isn't tracking... The 3DS, (specifically the New 3DS) has recently gotten ports of Stella, Prosystem, Handy, O2EM, Virtual Jaguar, 4DO, and more via RetroArch/LibRetro. Emulation of these systems run full speed: 2600 7800 Lynx Vectrex Odyssey2 Game & Watch Near full speed: CPS3 Interesting, but not fast enough to be considered playable: 3DO Jaguar These are not yet part of the official build, but can be found in posts by MrHuu in the thread at gbatemp. He plans to make a separate thread at some point, but as of the time of this posting, the builds are posted at page 270 (Stella, Vectrex, & Prosystem), page 273 (Handy, O2EM, VirtualJaguar, & 4DO), page 275 (Game & Watch), and page 279 (CPS3). MrHuu also posted a playlist generator here. Also interesting is that on a New 3DS (not XL), the screen size when set to "integer" is exactly the same as the screen size on a real Lynx.
  18. A real labor of love is finally complete. An Atari drawing for everyday of the month of October 2016 (31 drawings), now in one beautifully printed collection, Inktober 2016 | Atari Propaganda. Atari Lynx, Atari ST, and Atari Jaguar are featured most of the time, but there are a few bonuses in there as well. Because I am not one for heavy marketing, I want to make sure that everyone who would like a copy of this collection can get it for a deal right up front. I also don't want to spend the next year packing and shipping books, I got more Atari art to make darn it! So here is a bit of encouragement to purchase sooner rather than later. If you purchase the Atari Propaganda collection before the end of the day January 27th, you can get the $20 book for $18 USD (%10 off). If that is still too much, sign up for my mailing list (link at the top of my website) and get an additional %15 off of a single copy making your purchase $15 + shipping. This includes a dated signature from the artist of course. Not interested in buying the whole collection? Not a problem, I also have all the larger (8.5x11") art prints of every drawing on sale as well for $7 a piece. Pick the ones you really want, without the hassle of flipping the pages of a book. Thank you for the support, and enjoy the Atari fan art goodness! 19. With MGC being about 3 months away, figured now is the best time to send out my feelers for helpers for Jagfest section there. I am hoping to make it this year to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of this event that started in chicago on july 12th,1997(working on getting my license to drive instead of taking megabus or relying on going with others) if anybody is interested in helping let me know. Side note: we also looking for some help on the section for VGS in July as well while we can't do much with space limits, but any help with jagfst section is good. so let me know about that as well.
  20. https://drive.google.com/open?id=19e_z4iKjBzTkbXiCe3U26IieKHddQFxYbZdZ5exxyGk I have decided to narrow my collection to mostly NES and VCS games. That said I also have consoles for most of these games that will be listed when I get time to research prices. If you have interest in a certain console let me know and I will try to move it to the top of my list of things to do. The more games you want to buy, the more willing I am to work on the pricing. If you have questions, please feel free to message me. Thank you for your time and attention.
  21. Over in the Doom community, an effort is underway to port Jaguar Doom to the PC platform. Because, why not? https://www.doomworld.com/vb/source-ports/91624-calico/ Screenshots: However, some rendering issues have popped up as of late. Stuff like this. If you are interested and want to see what is done so far, or are willing to help in any way, here is the Github repository: https://github.com/team-eternity/calico-doom
  22. I have a friend who is making a "PC" port of Jaguar Doom , and he ran into some colour issues as it pertains to the B_IINC: Anyone out there deciphered B_IINC's actual behaviour yet? This documentation (and this) isn't cutting the mustard.
  23. This is one of the most impressive demos I have ever seen.
  24. Dear all I just wanted to point all you lovely people to a new retro gaming podcast. On Arcade Attack's first ever podcast, myself and two of my close friends discuss many topics. As a huge Jaguar fan (and collector) I give my views on this misunderstood console. Please give it a listen and let me know what you think: http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/podcast-november-2016/ P.s. While listening back, I noticed I made 2 clear errors about the Jaguar, no prizes for anyone who points them out!!! Thanks all. Adriano
