Magnavox Odyssey2 Collection I've finally hit the point where I no longer have room for expansion, so I'm beginning to downsize the consoles that I don't have a lot of passion for. I'm listing my Magnavox Odyssey2 set. I'm pricing it as one set, but I will consider offers to separate. Both consoles are tested. Both play perfectly for the first player. For the console with detachable controllers, the second player plays as if the controller is always pushing up. Some 2 player games are still playable this way. The issue happens regardless of which controller is plugged into port 2. The second console with wired controllers does not react to the second controller at all. There is one console box included with Styrofoam and paperwork. It originally came with the console with detachable controllers, but both consoles it. The voice module works with both consoles. Asking price is $200 OBO plus shipping. I'm willing to ship anywhere. The following is included: Magnavox Odyssey2 console with 2 detachable controllers and all cables Magnavox Odyssey2 console with 2 wired controllers and all cables Magnavox Odyssey2 box with paperwork Magnavox Odyssey2 Voice Module 25 games all with box and manual Alien Invaders-Plus! Alpine Skiing! Armored Encounter! Sub Chase! Baseball! Bowling! Basketball! Computer Golf! Cosmic Conflict! Dynasty! Football! Invaders from Hyperspace! K.C. Munchkin! K.C.'s Krazy Chase! Keyboard Creations! Las Vegas Blackjack! Match-Maker! Logix! Buzzword! Math-A-Magic! Echo! MonkeyShines! Pachinko! Pick Axe Pete! Pocket Billiards! Speedway! Spin-Out! Crypto-Logic! Take the Money and Run! Thunderball! UFO! War of Nerves! I also have 25 universal game cases with custom printed artwork for each game. The Odyssey2 game cart is thicker than most games, so they don’t close perfectly, but they still fit. I'm basically throwing these in for free. It's up to the buyer if they want them. They are not heavy, but they take up some space, so they will add to the shipping cost.

These four consoles are by far the cheapest to buy and easiest to collect for. If you want to collect for Studio II, Astrocade, Channel F, Arcadia 2001 (Why are there so many of these?), APF-MP1000, Creativision, Adventure Vision, 5200(?), or vectrex (Sadly) you are a bit crazy perhaps. I'm looking at the Wikipedia page for second generation consoles... Why are there so many?!? No wonder the market crashed There were like... 18 different consoles worldwide... and that's just silly.-

Hey there, Just learning the ropes of video capture and commentary. I've upgraded my capture equipment since recording the ones below, but regardless, thought I'd share them here. Enjoy, comment, feedback welcome, share the Odyssey2 love, am I right? Here is some gameplay and commentary on Speedway! and Spin Out! And here is a bit more footage from the seminal classic, Computer Golf!

Hello Sadly I noticed that the Magnavox Odyssey games have risen in price. Personally I want to preserve light gun gaming as much as possible. Therefore I started to do a multi card which can be used as cards 9 & 10. Then I realized that this was a waste of silicon an time and that I should better make a 12 in 1 mutli card. Myself I just own 3, 9 & 10 so I was very into the idea once I had it. Here is a picture of the final card: I put all the PCB files onto my website, so everybody can print one for personal usage. I uploaded the files as GERBER and as .brd files (I prefer the latter...). I wish you all happy gaming! Here is a short video of proof, which shows that the little thing actually works: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFJGMqS9hTI&t=4m27s

I've got an older Odyssey 2 (the kind with the beige switchbox that it needs), and I'm having video trouble. I've attached a quick video of what it does. It looks like it switches on for a split second, turns off, repeat..? I had a buddy go over and check the power supply, check the traces on the board, and still no difference. We also tried tapping the RF directly off the internal RF convertor, bypassing the proprietary cable that comes off the back. I'm hoping this is a problem someone else has encountered.

I might be called an over-analyzer, but does anyone else wonder exactly why the court that oversaw the legal battle between Magnavox and Atari Inc. ended up ruling in favor of Atari? I find it at least somewhat suspicious that other pacman clones and derivatives such as Vectrex Clean Sweep and the arcade hack known as Pirhana NEVER EVEN got charged with anything! I sometimes think that Atari and the Court were in cahoots and that Atari had a special hatred for Magnavox and KC Munchkin.

Starting to buy some of the clear plastic hard cases for the few boxed games I have outside of the Odyssey games and will finally shell out the money to get a big shipment of the ones that fit these the best. I think the Sega Gen/MS/32x protective cases fit these best but I cannot find the messages I sent to a seller on eBay earlier this year. Anyone know for sure? The 2600 cases fit Demon Attack and Atlantis great( only have Demon Attack). Anyone have a CIB Atlantis they want to send my way? Has anyone found anything that fits Conquest of the World, Quest for the Rings, and The Great Wall Street Fortune Hunt game boxes in it that doesn't look bad( too much open space)?

I just picked up the Odyssey and all of its games. I was surprised to find that there isn't a lot on the internet about it. I did find one website where a guy was going through all of the Odyssey games and reviewing them, but he never got to any of the 1973 releases. I was disappointed to find out that there are homebrews for the system, but most of them are incredibly rare and it will likely be a long time before any of them become available via auction. The one exception is Red vs Blue, which was offered for free on the Revrob website. From what I can find on the internet the homebrews are: Odball Released by Revrob Mentis Cohorts Released by Revrob (There seems to have been an issue with distribution on this one. Did anyone get a copy or was this something where no one got their order and therefore this doesn't actually exist?) Red vs Blue Released by Revrob Dodgeball Released by Atariland2600 Odyssey Evil Released by ManCaveArcade There are these Homebrews in development: Lava Monster by TheMichaelLant announced 2014 but no word since October. Appears to be abandoned. Captain Bruce by Atariland2600 announced 2014 and confirmed still in development. Hunting Adventure by ManCaveArcade announced 2013 and confirmed still in development. What I'm interested in is if anyone knows of any homebrews not on this list. Does anyone know of any auctions for Odyssey homebrews or anyone who wants to sell one? Failing that does anyone have any of these games and would like to give a review? I'm interested in any information pertaining to them. There appears to be even less on the internet about the homebrews aside from several sites noting their existance.

I picked up an Odyssey and all 10 additional games. I'm starting to research the homebrews and see what is out there. If anyone has any information on any of these homebrews, I'd appreciate if anyone could link me to reviews, screenshots, auctions, etc. If you own any of these games and want to just say how fun it is, I'd appreciate knowing that as well. I'd also like to know if I'm wrong about the status on any of these or if there are more that I don't know about. Released Homebrews: Odball by Revrob Mentis Cohorts by Revrob (I know there's been a dispute about people not getting this one. Did anyone actually get a copy?) Hi! I am looking for a Odyssey console. I do not care if it's a Run-1 or Run-2. I would be interested include two controls, 6 games, RF switch and antenna cable only, also would be interested in buying it in its original box. The most I can pay for Odyssey are $ 155 plus shipping. Thank You. Sorry for my terrible English, I am that I am Spanish and I had to use the Google translator.
